Just based off of my first and only experience for lunch, I will absolutely be back. I got a steak fajita here that made me want to walk to the back and slap the cook, it was so good. Awesome! We stopped in here for lunch one day on a whim, and I am so glad that we did! You go in and place your order at the counter and then go find a seat, and your food will be brought to your table. The staff here is super friendly, and if you have questions about menu items, they will gladly help you out. The food here is absolutely delicious. I don't mean that they have some good dishes, I mean that everything I ate or drank here, including the soda, was delicious! There was nothing on my plate or my wife's plate that we didn't both love. I started out with the shrimp soup. I was skeptical at first, but it turns out that it was great. I believe that it's tomato based, with a very generous amount of shrimp, and vegetables. They'll give you a little dish of green hot sauce "just in case". Well, I like spicy, so I put a spoonful into the soup and it took it right off the scale. That spoonful of hot sauce took a very good soup and made it amazing. For my main meal I ordered the roast pork platter. With that you get a pretty good pile of tender, slow roasted pork, Spanish rice, and some sort of mashed, fried plantain (can't remember what that was called). I also had a can of Inca Cola. My wife had the chicken platter (their specialty) which also came with Spanish rice and a different, sweeter plantain/banana-type side. It was good, but I prefer the mashed and fried version that I had, but it was still good. For dessert we split a piece of the tres leche cake. Delicious! This place was so good that we actually thought about driving the 20 miles back there for dinner the same night. We didn't make it that time, but we will most definitely be back again and again. read more

I have been here a couple times, I've given it a fair shake and was not impressed. I feel that the food was watered down in the sense that the true "Peruvian cuisine" did not have a chance to shine. Some of the food seemed very bland and tasteless just wasn't a good experience for me. Also the prices were pretty pricy, no offense but if I'm going to be charged for steak, I better be getting it. I used to go to Mangos when they were in Lumberton, NJ. And it was sooooo good. But I moved and it wasn't convenient to go over there. Then I finally made it to the location in Mount Laurel. I was so excited. I ordered the Lomo Soltado a la Pobre. It was soooo bad! I don't know what the heck happened?! Was the cook angry and he took it out my steak. I've never had steak so freaking tough lololol...you know when you actually have to drink some water to get some hydration in the meat to swallow...that's how dry it was. The food is decent, but the portions are small and they sometimes find a way to beat you out of their promotional coupons. For example, I recently had a coupon for free churros if the order was over $50.00. My order came to $53.00 and change. I asked the gentleman on the phone if I could apply my coupon, and he said yes so long as I paid cash. When I got to the restaurant, I took the coupon out of my pocket and the women at the counter immediately said "You can't combine!" I wasn't sure what she meant, so I just said, "Oh, I'm not trying to combine. I just have a coupon for free churros." She said, "You can't use it because your order is under $50.00 before tax". I looked at the receipt, and it was $49.97 before tax. I said, "But it's $53.00 total". She said, "It has to be before tax!" even though that's not what it says on the coupon and that's not what the guy said on the phone. I told her that the man told me on the phone that I could use the coupon, and she just repeated that it has to be before tax, and invited me to buy something else to make up the extra 3 cents and then I could have the churros. I didn't want to argue about it, so I just paid for my food and left without my churros, but I really didn't appreciate the bait and switch. That's not the first time I had a similar incident there involving them finding a different reason to deny the coupon. I have a feeling they're strictly to get you in there, and then they find a way to say, "Sorry, it doesn't apply". I know small businesses are hurting with the pandemic, but they should still honor their coupons, especially when nothing on them says "must be before tax". read more

I like their Peruvian chicken. I usually get it with yellow rice and a small salad. I tried their chipotle chicken soup once, and honey, you would've thought they put the whole Morton's salt carton in there. Very friendly staff. Great fresh fruit salads are available too. read more

The Lomo Saltado with eggs was more than satisfying, and the Chupe de Camarones was a wonderful treat, and the rocoto/jalapeño paste added another level. This place is beyond delicious. We ordered several different things. The table favorite was arroz con pollo but every dish we had was excellent. The service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. The kids loved the chips and guacamole. The chips came out piping hot and they loved using the Spanish rice as dip. Mangos is new to Mt Laurel so I gave them a shot for lunch. I ordered the Pork with Spanish rice and plantains. The pork was so tender and sliced thin. It's the only place I have found for Peruvian food in the Tri-State area. Fortunately, it's pretty tasty! I only get the Peruvian chicken with Spanish rice. I just wish the Spanish rice was more moist, but overall it definitely satisfies my craving. The hot sauce is so flavorful and so good, but a little goes a long way, so be careful! The food is OK, but they could use a bit more base and seasonings. They prices could be cheaper but the chicken is quite large. Yucca fries are good but should be $2.99 not 3.99 that's expensive for yucca fries. The biggest two problems is they take too long to make food and they violate Visa debit card policy by requiring a $10 minimum. read more

The chicken chaufa is amazing! I always get it spicy (it's not really spicy anyway). They recently started giving less rice per order, but it still gets me 2 meals. I also tried the chicken and rice, which was pretty good, but the chicken was too dry on the inside. Just get the chaufa and you'll never be disappointed :) read more

Truth be told this is the only Peruvian food I've ever eaten, so I'm not quite sure I'm qualified to review a "Peruvian" restaurant, but here goes.... This place is good....REAL GOOD!!! We live nearby and stop often, and I don't think there's much on their menu I haven't tried. Always the freshest ingredients, served quickly and presented beautifully....and extremely budget friendly! My favorite here is the beef burrito, but I also love the Peruvian chicken, oh and that chicken wrap, and the salads....mmmm, ok I'm hungry now. Love their Spanish rice, although it is a little too salty sometimes. Have tried the steak, pork, and chicken combos with the rice and all are very tasty. The churros are sooo good! They come with this amazing caramel type sauce. Didn't care for the tres leches cake because it felt too dense for my liking. Plantains are also very good. I've been Peruvian food surfing for the past month from Philly, South Jersey, North Jersey, NYC and Albany NY. I stopped by Mango's after finding it on Yelp and being that this restaurant is in an area where I would least expect to find Peruvian cuisine, I expected the worst. When I walked in my first impression is that it is very clean, I ordered the lomo saltado (Stir Fry with rice) and it was really good. They also gave me the green spicy salsa for my lomo saltado and it was really good and spicy. Yes, I paid for my food at the counter which is unorthodox for Americans, but a little change is good. also added the Inca Kola (delicious). After my dinner I was not obligated to leave a tip or there was no tip forced on my bill like other places but there is a tip bottle by the counter if you wish to do so which I thought was a great idea. I brought my whole family back a few days later and we had a great time. We ordered the lomo, papa la huancaina, rotisserie chicken, Ceviche and a cheeseburger for my daughter. The chicken was very tasty and the chicken sauce was a good compliment. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this restaurant. read more

I'm from Texas and have been living in NJ for two years. I've never had anything close to the good food down in Texas until I went to Mango's. Their fruit smoothies are fantastic. They aren't loaded up with sugar, you can taste the freshness. I didn't try the peruvian chicken yet but they said it was their most sold dish. The place is very clean. They have Peruvian Chicken here! I'm not sure why there aren't more places around here that serve Peruvian Chicken, it beats the pants off rotisserie chicken from other places like Boston Market or your local supermarket. It comes with this very tasty green sauce that you can dip your chicken into. Yummy. I also tried the arroz con pollo which the person there said was popular on saturdays. Not sure why it would be more popular on saturdays but it was very nicely flavored. I think that's what sets the chicken here apart...flavor! read more

1 star for the establishment & tostones but the food was nasty. Curry chicken & white rice. Tostones $19 & change. Rice tasted like leftovers, curry chicken had the color of curry but no flavor. It was shredded.... propped up by white potatoes so of course it looks plentiful but in actuality it wasn't. I usually don't leave bad reviews, if I don't like something I just won't go back. But due to the lack of flavor/ no taste, the serving size, the price& it was just so far off from any curry chicken I've ever had, that it needs to be mentioned. They may have other good menu items, but this is a no for me. read more
