Great Latin American Food. This is mainly Dominican / Puerto Rican style dishes. Simple ingredients but packs a powerful punch of flavor! My recommendation is the arroz con gandules or Moro rice with Pernil - throw some yuca and platanos maduros , it's a party! Service was great, place seemed cleaned, order came out quick. Not 5 stars because they could work on the aesthetic as well as having healthier options, most of the food here is fried (probably with the same oil). Love it! Would come back if I'm in the area - but definitely not EVERYDAY food. So much calories!!!

I've been coming here at least 3 times a week since I discovered this place. The food is really good and cheap. I still have to try quite a few items but what I have tried (beef, chicken, black beans and rice, yellow rice, plantains, tostones, fried cheese, potatoe ball and the fried yuca) is very very good; especially me being from Venezuela I can say it's authentic and delicious. I usually get the combo platter with beef, black beans and white rice and plantains for $6!!

Like its larger sister business in East Camden, Latin American Restaurant serves up delicious, inexpensive food with large portions and lots of flavor. This location is obviously geared for the take-out lunch rush, but there are a few seats, including a few outside, if you're looking to sit down. There's a wide array of food on the menu from which you basically put together your own platter. A favorite of mine is pork and plantains over rice and beans.

The food here is delicious. It's one of the best latin restaurants I've ever been to. It's inexpensive and the service is great. If I don't get the mangu I get the rice with gandules with pernil and sweet plantains. I highly recommend this place.

The food here is very delicious. The only downside is that it gets really crowded during lunchtime.

Different kinds of rice to go with fish, chicken, pork. Latin Style! Taco's too! Delist! They take cash or credit.

The…read moreBiryani and Tandoor has been spot on and we appreciate how they both come with vegetables to add some color and textures that is so often missing at most Indian Restaurants. We aren't in complete love with the entree options -- while they offer a ton of options such as a vegetarian tofu option, it felt a bit small for the price. They are super friendly and the place feels approachable, not too fancy, but not too casual either. Would recommend again. What you didn't come here for: - Water: The water is not the greatest. Not horrid but also there is some of that Philly residue in there. - Restrooms: The restrooms are tiny and up a long flight of stairs with really high rise and small treads, so they are not easily accessible. They are friends with the Thai restaurant next door who gladly welcomes guests from this restaurant to use their restroom, which is more accessible. - Accessibility: There is a step to get into the restaurant. Minus the restroom situation, all of it is accessible, though perhaps tight for a wheelchair. - Seating: While they don't have many tables, they don't appear to be so busy that there'd be a long wait. It'd work for a last minute detour or large group. - Will it fill you up? Minus the entrees which could be consumed by a hungry single person, all of the entrees can easily fill up a single person and still end up with some leftovers. - Dietary Notes: They are able to cook the food with less oil and varying levels of spice. They are able to make the food incredibly not spicy if you have anyone in your group sensitive to that.

Be careful since the entrance door is in the middle of the stairway so even once you open the door, there are still a few steps you still need to go walk down (safety caution), rather than the floor being flat once you enter through the door. The staff was very friendly and they answered my questions patiently, when I let them know it was my first time as a customer. Based on the worker's recommendation (breakfast sandwich and onigiri recommendation), I ordered the spicy pork and egg breakfast sandwich (no cheese) on a croissant, traditional mochi (filled with red bean and chopped walnuts - labeled with a "W" on the packaging), kimchi onigiri (made with Korean rice with red beans rather than white rice) , and the grapefruit tea with green tea base (hot). The breakfast sandwich was so tasty, even without the cheese! The delicious taste of the sweet and savory spicy pork, fluffy egg, and flaky croissant made me wish I ordered two of them. The walnut inside the red bean mochi gave a nice crunch and texture to the smooth red bean filling. Even though the kimchi onigiri didn't contain any meat, I think the crunch and slightly spicy pickled kimchi gave it enough flavor. Apparently, one of the workers let me know that the kimchi is homemade by their mother and the onigiri is made fresh daily! The hot grapefruit green tea kept me warm as I drank it, since it was pretty cold that day. Even though the entrance area doesn't have much seating, if you go upstairs, there is a lot more seating available. I would come visit again! :)

They have a decent selection of premade cold sandwiches and salads, and a nice hot grill selection. The cold salad I ate was the only plus, very fresh and tasty. While our group of 20 was deciding between hot or cold, a very large school group came in and got into the grill line. The one cook behind the counter seemed positively bewildered (maybe he was actually a dishwasher?) and overwhelmed. When some of our kids got in line, now 30+ kids long, a manager came along and was speaking to cook who was clearly upset. When I asked manager how long he thought they'd be waiting and were they getting more help behind the grill, he replied "we weren't expecting this many people to come in", and how they weren't ready and mumbled something else about the "group leaders calling ahead". Huh? Didn't see any signage requesting that people call ahead to tell a restaurant open to the public to be, well, ready for the public who may want to eat? Pardon us to expect a large, cafeteria style cafe in a well attended public museum to be ready for lunch AT LUNCHTIME. We had to tell our disappointed students to pick from the cold selections so we could eat and be on our way for next scheduled sight. Delegates Cafe, a huge FAIL on your part.
