Went to Mandy's for the first time, and it's safe to say that I found my new eyebrow threading spot. I was on a long hunt after searching and so happy I can call this place home when I need my eyebrows done. Maria was very welcoming for starters, easy to converse with and took her time most importantly. Like, she didn't rush at all! They also have snacks at the front desk for customers and told us to grab a few chocolate bars Anyways, ask for Maria & you won't be disappointed with your eyebrows! Thank me later PS: I'll post a before & after pic the next time I go back read more

never going back I wanted to give this threading salon a try, they left one of my eyebrows thinner than the other like overly thin my brows weren't super thin before. read more

Love this place! Very pretty and calming interior. Great eyebrows threading, a little painful but that's to be expected of course. Before this place was out under new management I was a loyal customer since 2019! read more

I loved my experience here. I am super happy with the service and how my brows turned out!

My eyebrows were shaped to perfection. I've been searching for a place to get my brows done and no one has been able to satisfy my shape preferences...., this is going to be my set spot. At lassssst. read more

I almost wanna dispute the charge of $23 for how horrible the service was. First of all I asked for pics of brows so I can have an idea of what I wanted, and she had none. She threaded my eyebrows and I swear to you it was so painful. Now I know threading is always painful, but she was not gentle at all. She kept telling me No and humming "hmm hmm" when I jumped because she was literally threading my damn skin. She also gave me these uneven dark ugly brows that I was so embarrassed to have. I mean I sat in my car until they were ready to be wiped off. She kept asking me if I wanted a Brazilian wax today and I told her no like 3 times. The brows was so bad that I wore sunglasses to cover my brows while I was out. I actually found Nadine at Unique brows and she made my brows look amazing & she was nice. The lady at the other place was cold, not personable, and a lil mean! I will never ever ever in my life go back to this place and I wouldn't suggest this place to absolutely anyone. Please don't let this lady slaughter your lashes! She almost ruined my day, and I had to pay extra money with someone else to get decent looking lashes. I almost feel like some of her reviews are paid because it's no way this lady is a professional Eyebrow artist... read more

Let me start by saying that the picture I have provided of my burned underarm is actually 4 days after the burn so it's now starting to heal and looks a lot better. I was in too much pain and too upset to take a pic on day 1. Mind you, my underarms are very light like the color you see in the middle. This dark color is all from how bad I was burned. When I first walked in, the lady didn't even greet me. I specifically told her to only pull the strip once because I've been burned before and was told you shouldn't pull the strip more than twice. She seemed to have agreed but as I laid there receiving my treatment, she's trying to upsell me into getting a Brazilian or my full body and how great chocolate wax is and next thing I knows she's stripped the same spot about 5 times. At that point it was already too late and I knew the damage had been done. I got home in 10 minutes and wanted to cry by how much pain I was in. I applied an ointment and my skin was literally swollen from the wounds that she caused. I was in so much pain for the rest of the day, it literally ruined my day. I will just stick to European Wax Center where they use hard wax and have better knowledge of what they are doing. I shoulda known to stay away from this place when I walked in because it even looks dingy. read more

Mandy's Threading & Salon Fry rd - Hair Salons Near Me - Katy, Texas

Full disclaimer: I got a bad hair cut and am still salty about it. I have visited this salon three times: all the times threading was involved and the third included a terrible, soul crushing hair cut. The first time I got my eyebrows and lip threaded was at this location. It was great. The second time, even, was completely wonderful. The third time I arrived 1.5hr prior to closing. No customers were inside and when I asked the hairdresser if I could get a trim and eyebrow thread I was asked to make an appointment for tomorrow. (I was a little confused tbh, but sure hair cuts take time). I said sure and then she rushed through my eye brow threading. She missed many hairs and when I brought them to her attention it seemed to completely bother her. Whoops. Another hair dresser was watching and said she would trim my hair tonight after my eyebrows were done. The hair cut was awful. I have curly hair and you can't just pull curly hair straight and trim. As it turns out, it will turn out shorter that way... Anyways I came out with an uneven bob (one side at chin one about half an inch shorter) and she couldn't find the thinning shears. She said to come the next day to get it thinned, I did not. I think it's safe to say I won't be getting my hair cut here until more customers have better experiences here. read more

Even after reading the reviews I decided to try it because sometimes you never know .. but I definitely won't be going back. I don't get how they expect to have a successful business with such a lack of customer service and friendliness. Took her max of 5 min to do my eyebrows ( in my opinion rushed and careless ) I could tell as soon as I walked in what people meant about the environment. I wonder how they manage to stay open. My eyebrows where threaded it's ok to say the least but she missed hairs and I feel they're not even. So frustrating because I let them grow to get the perfect shape and now I have to let them grow again. They might as well close down now or get new employees because this won't last long. The other lady seem way more welcoming so maybe she's the one holding this business up‍ I won't be back and will definitely let people know not to come here. read more

I recommend Tabu!! She is the best with eyebrow threading!! They use to have a deal where you get a card and get credit each time you come , after so many times you get a free eyebrow threading! The owner no longer offers that. When they first stoped I stop going , until one day I had a last minute event and they are the closest threading salon to my home, that's when I met Tabu! She's worth coming back! I still think they should offer that loyalty program again, if not free half off. That's why I don't give the salon overall 5 stars... read more

I've only been able to be serviced by Mandy once within the past 11 months I've been coming here. And when she is there, she makes a big fuss if you ask to be serviced by her! She is GREAT and you're lucky if you get to see her. Every time I come in there is someone different and they're not so nice. My eyebrows were THICK and ALMOST IDENTICAL before coming here. Now, my left eyebrow is way thinner and doesn't really look the same as my right eyebrow. I know they aren't supposed to be perfect but they're much different from one another. I am now forced to grow them out bc of the job they've done here. read more

Mandy's customer service is 100% and she takes her time on you. However, be warned that she charges to use the machine if your service is less than $10. (There is no sign to tell you so either). Eyebrows are $8 and I was forced to pay $10 as I had no cash. I came here for the second time, made sure I brought cash with me and she told me she doesn't take coins. I gave her $6 in bills and $2 in quarters. She said most salons don't, this isn't true as I have been to plenty and had no problem with them taking coins. Cash is cash afterall. Mandy is funny, pleasant to talk to but just be careful how you pay hence why my 4 star review. Hope this was helpful! read more

When Mandy was doing my eyebrows they were perfect every single time! However for the past few months she hasn't been there and some other lady is doing eyebrows and does not do a good job! I specifically told her to keep my brows THICK... I looked in the mirror and not only are they THIN but they are not even, one is thinner than the other one. I know eyebrows are suppose to be sisters and not twins but my eyebrows look like cousins . Mandy PLEASE come back!!!! My brows miss you! read more

She was fast! Threading is only 8$ for your eyebrows! And I love them :') cute salon too. Super pink.

I have been getting my eyebrows done here for some months now & they do a great job. I just left and I am pleased as usual. I also just scheduled an appointment for a hold facial for tomorrow. I'll keep you updated. :) read more

I was skeptical to try this place out since it's brand new but they definitely met my expectations! I usually go to Aisha's on Fry but they're always too busy and kind of rude. The ladies were nice and they left my eyebrows perfect! I will definitely make this my go to eyebrow place from now on. read more

Mandy do a excelente job on my eyebrows every time that I go... She always do it perfect... I recommend 100%..

I am so disappointed with the service I received if I could I would give 0 stars. So let me start out by saying my eyebrow hairs are sparse, but if threaded properly they appear to be full. Usually when I get my eyebrows threaded the person ask if I want to keep them as full as possible. Well yesterday when I went the older lady(she didn't tell me her name) took it upon herself to basically thread all of my eyebrow hairs off and left me with a thin strip. Your eyebrows can make or break your look and I will most definitely have to use an eyebrow pencil to correct her horrendous mistake. I partially blame myself because I normally go to someone located off of dairy ashford but because this place is right around the corner from me I decided to give them a try. HUGE mistake in my part. I look so weird I don't know whether to be angry or to cry. read more

Was scared to try the new place out (The last time I got my eyebrows done it was a disaster), but I really loved it! I recommend Mandy :)

I'm pretty picky about who can do my eyebrows but being new to the area, I knew I would need to try someone new till I found someone I liked. Mandy was my first try and she did not disappoint. She was very nice and did not rush to give me the perfect eyebrows. She let me see her work every step of the way and you can tell she was a perfectionist. Will definitely go back in two weeks! read more

I went in and there was no wait, she seated me right away. She did a great job and my eyebrows and lip look so fresh and clean! Will be going back every 2 weeks for sure! read more

Since moving to Texas for work I haven't had much time to pamper myself. While in the katy area on my day off i yelped places to get my eyebrows done and came across Mandy's. I decided to give it a try since it was around the corner from where I was. The place was really clean and the service was amazing! She was patient and told me if I couldn't "bare the pain anymore" she'd wait. Definitely will be coming back! read more

Mandy is so personable & sweet! My eyebrows finally have a nice, clean shape to them. She knew exactly what I needed. After waxing for 6+ years, I heard about eyebrow threading & finally gave it a shot. So much quicker, and much less painful. I will definitely be back! read more

I went there today to get my hair done. Apparently they limited staff to do hair because they told me I'd have to come back a different day. I still got my eyebrows done which were not perfect but better than before. I had also paid for my daughter to have her eyebrows done and they would only stamp my card once. They said "one per customer" even though she didn't pay for any of it. I said fine and gave my daughter both cards because I won't be returning. I dont mind spending money on myself and love building up small businesses but they have a poor customer service ethic. read more

I went because it's so close to home. Since it was new, I was scared to go. I said what the heck, I'll give it a try. Well I first asked her about a gray color hombre. he was like ok. So I told her never mind. I chose a different hombre with blondes and coppers. She teased and put it in aluminum. The woman burned my hair. I could tell right away the product she used had to be a cheap brand because it was burning. She then put my head under heat and the products became flaky and over processed. I was very disappointed I wanted to cry. I told her it didn't look nothing like in the picture. She left my hair ends looking orange and very burned. She said she'd fix it. How would she fix it if it was already burned. They said they'd call me and set up an appointment to fix it. I didn't plan on going back but it's the point that they didn't follow through that has me here warning YOU. DO NOT GO THERE. They DO NOT know what they are doing. I don't even think they have licenses.... CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED!!!!! read more
