The food, service, and environment was excellent the only thing which could have been improved was the temperature of their plate warmer should been higher. I recommended it to the staff, who said they had considered it and felt that initially the plates would be too hot. So they would reconsider it "hot plates" or "cold food" . I think most of their clients would vote for "hotter plates and hot food" by checking and adjusting the warmer temperature more often. I let them know I'd be writing this. I have a fairly high tolerance for mediocrity but where I draw the line is food safety and just being gross. My wife saw this in her shrimp and I was like no way, let me see. I took it into better lighting and sure enough, a disgusting black hair (blond, red whatever is still disgusting). I can forgive a restaurant for just being ok but I don't feel bad for giving a bad review because someone doesn't want to wear a hair net. We all stopped eating as it ruined our appetite. I called them immediately and she was like maybe it's the shrimp intestine. No way. This is coming out the side and it's a hair. No discount or refund makes this ok. I almost gave it 5 stars because the food was good and the ambiance was very nice. The restaurant was impressiv clean, especially the bathroom. But two things forced me to cut it down to 3 stars... The bottle of soy sauce (which was their own refillable kind) was covered with several sticky fingerprints, so they obviously don't wash or even wipe them down afterward they clean the tables. It was gross when I picked it up! I could feel all the prints of dry crusted food and sticky sauce. No bueno. Especially during this time of Covid. The 2nd thing is not so crucial, unless you are really wanting Orange chicken. That's what I ordered. When I took my first bite, there was no taste of orange at all. Not even a little. I thought maybe my taste buds weren't working, so I asked my husband to taste it. He agreed...not a trace of orange flavor. Maybe it was a mistake and the cook forgot to add the orange, but I was disappointed. The lowmein was delicious though, so I mostly ate that. read more

Had my first visit here over the weekend. The service was quick and polite. However, while waiting for our food I'm not sure if something happened in the kitchen or if it was a dish brought out but the room suddenly filled with what felt like pepper spray. Almost all the customers started coughing. The staff didn't seem to notice, though they did have their face masks on... it faded after maybe 7 minutes. The food was mediocre. I would have been just as happy going to Panda Express. Flavor was quite bland dispute the amount of sauce on my Mongolian beef. My friend got the teriyaki chicken and also wasn't very pleased. We got off I-15 because of an accident caused a huge traffic jam. We were not expecting any really good Thai food just off the highway. But the food was superb and the service was excellent. Our waiter, Mason, had a great knowledge about the menu items. The menu is extensive and there were dishes I had not tasted before. Mason's recommendations very good. Staying in town for the Shakespeare festival and checked the reviews for Mandarin. Very favorable reviews! Reality - not so much.... No Peking duck they don't serve enough so they keep them frozen. We had to make a play and could not wait the hour and 20 minutes to be served. So we ordered an egg roll and spring roll but they brought two egg rolls b/c they were out of spring rolls. I am so happy that I finally found a place that serves Peking duck. The skin was thin and crispy, and they gave enough pancakes and toppings for the duck. The flavor of the shrimp was just right. It was crispy and has the right amount of batter, and this dish comes with a bowl of rice. The special pan-fried noodles were nice and crispy, and the sauce was flavorful. Meh... It is quite over-priced for the quality and quantity. The atmosphere is nice. The server we had hovered. He kept coming back to our table every couple of minutes to see if we were ready to order. Back off, man. Give us a few minutes to look over the menu! And when we were done eating he brought over the check and stood there waiting for payment. Not cool! We specifically asked him how closely the steak was cooked to our preference. Is it bang on or is it more or less done than what is requested? He said the kitchen is pretty bang on with the request. WRONG! We asked for medium-rare and got well-done. And most of the meat was grisly. As I said before, the amount of food was quite minimal for how much they charge. The chow mein was good and flavorful. Not sure what the free appetizer things were. The server didn't even tell us what it was. I assume it was some kind of deep-fried dough with plum sauce for dipping. The dipping sauce was barely enough to cover the bottom of the dish, therefore, not enough for dipping the deep-fried strips of whatever into. It is unlikely we will return. The cost-to-food ratio is not worth it. read more
