Horrible customer service!!! I ordered a BLT and asked for bacon WELL done, the food preparer said she can't guarantee that it will be well done, so we both agreed that I would not have bacon and just have it all vegetables, our food was delivered to our table and it was a BLT with raw bacon on it, so I stopped the girl who delivered the food to us and told her that I'll take the bacon off and would she get me some vegetables, like me and the food preparer agreed to, so she went to the kitchen came back and said that I would have to be charged for them, I said go talk to the food preparer, we just talked, my food wasn't supposed to have bacon on it, and she said "I can't give you extra vegetables for the BLT", it was a really confusing, I can't even say it was an conversation, It was like I was talking to a wall, anyways they didn't care, they wanted to charge me for something that I already ordered but didn't get. we will never go back there again!!! I requested my bacon be well done, shouldn't be a hard task for a test... the food preparer said she can't guarantee the bacon will get well done, so WE, together agreed to leave the bacon OFF and just have my sandwich with vegetables. when I got my sandwich it had literally raw bacon on it, I stoped the girl delivering the food to the tables and told her what I just said above, and I requested for some more vegetables, what me and the good preparer agreed on, she went to the kitchen, came back and said I would have to pay for the extra vegetables... I asked why would I have to pay extra when I just spoke with the food preparer and she said because the BLT only has the 3 items on it, I said , it changed and there wasn't wasn't to be a BLT but a sandwich with just vegetables. I order a small veg personal pizza, it was the worse I didn't taste any sauce I asked for additional mushroom, there were only flakes of mushrooms.. it taste like a store bought frozen pizza that was prepared. This is my 2nd visit to this location and I would have given it a one star before as well. My sandwiches were dry the first time, so I ordered a little extra mayo on my seafood grinder. The bread was under toasted (only slightly warm) and not only did I not get extra mayo, I got no mayo at all. The cheese was non existent. The lady at the counter made no eye contact, didn't smile, and barely spoke. I'd give zero stars if I could. Easily the worst mancinos I've been to. But hey, at least they're consistent. read more

This used to be my favorite Mancino's location, but the last 2 times I was there I have been really disappointed. I was bragging to a co-worker about how good their pizza grinders were, so I went and bought a couple for us to eat for lunch, despite my being disappointed the last time I was there (I figured it was a fluke). I ordered some extra items on both grinders but when I got them back to the office, it didn't look like they added the extra items they charged me for. But upon closer inspection with my reading glasses on, I saw they didn't forget the items, they were just so skimpy on them that they might as well have skipped them and not charged me for them. Nothing pisses me off more than being ripped off and to see one flake of mushroom on each sub and 2 crumbs of sausage on the one with sausage, they had to KNOW they were ripping me off. THEN while I was thinking about how much I paid for them and even more irritated that I put money in that tip jar, I realized that they ALSO short-changed me by $10 ($26 and change for the order, gave a $50, received $13 and change back). I even added a dollar I had in my pocket to the $1's and change she gave me to that tip jar. I know it's not a huge tip, but I already paid them to make the food, so any tip at all is charity to begin with- it's not like I ate there and had a waitress serving me or anything. I was going to give 2 stars because, like I said, this USED to be my favorite place. However, once I thought about the snide attitude of the person who took my order and ripped me off $10 when I paid for it, the fact that this is the 2nd time in a row that my order was crap and how blatantly skimpy they were on the extra items they charged me extra for, I changed my mind and gave it 1 star (because I don't think I can give it zero stars) and I won't be back there. read more

Not all Mancino's are the same. I have moved around the state quite a bit and have eaten at my fair share of Mancino's establishments across the state. In my opinion this location is by far the best. I don't know what it is about their bread, but it is the best. It's is the perfect combo of soft and crunchy! The lettuce is always green and the tomatoes are never soggy, which I find to be a common problem amongst sandwich shops. I have tried several different grinders and have loved them all, they have about 20 to choose from. They also offer pizza, pasta, and some other fried foods, which I have never tried so I cannot comment on those items. The biggest criticism I have is that they have "ask about our flatbread" written on their chalk board. While I was ordering I asked about it and was told that they no longer offer it. It is written on a chalk board! Just erase it, it's that simple. read more

Does anyone know who owns/runs/operates The Mancinos on the West side of Lansing By McDonald's? I had a really bad experience for lunch today ...and brought it to their attention- (Ordered a club no tomato over the phone, u could tell the person was rushed taking orders inside and , on the phone- understandable, ‍she repeats my order and says it will be ready in 10 min Get there to pick up she says my name and what I ordered, & says this HAS Tomatoes.. we will have to remake it-- ok...) They remade my food only to screw it up again... and doesnt put lettuce on it this time. by this time I left , and Im 10 min down the road to notice it.. I call back, she says " I wasnt the one to remake your food".. (who cares who made it?! Make it Right!!! ) She wants me to turn around, and bring my sandwhich back so she can give me a side of lettuce-- then my sandwhich will be cold?!!! Yeah, thats how we do things. Mancinos has come and gone a couple of times over here in West Lansing and I could never figure out why. This latest one has grinders just as good if not better than the previous ones. What really sets it apart from just being another sandwich shop is the staff. The employees are always friendly and engaging and seem to enjoy what they do. When it comes to the food itself...you definitely get a good value for the price. Lunch specials are a fantastic deal and a refreshing change from the fast-food blandness with a generous half-grinder, bag of chips and a drink for $7.49. Even with a half-grinder, you'll probably be taking some with you. The dinner deal is great too! We usually get the 2 whole grinder combo for $18.99. Chips and a drink are extra, but you'll be eating good for at least a couple of meals! Highly recommend Mancinos on the Westside! read more

The food has been solid fare, as you would expect from any Mancino's, certainly nothing above the median. That should be good enough for 4-stars, but this location struggles mightily with leadership. It does not matter when you go in, or who the staff is, the dining area is always filled with tables that need bussing and the kitchen area desperately calling for attention too. Staff is too friendly, giving away extras and engaging in long personal conversations as if it was mandated. While waiting 30 mins for a 15 min quoted sandwich in the filthy restaurant I watched the owner (?) look for and land 3 conversations that involved her taking out her phone to show customers pics of her grandkids, all while forcing cringeworthy conversation while people are just looking to get some food. Phone etiquette, POS training, and general customer service are desperately needed. Workflow is terrible, so do yourself a favor and just call out orders, the kitchen staff running out to a table from the back is another over anxious customer service mistake. Again, the food is fine and could be better, but it takes far too long and the cleanliness and interaction is more like a gas station than a pizza joint. Please fix it. read more

This location does not compare to the Grand Ledge location. The Mancinos in grand ledge will give you twice the amount of everything on your grinder. It is no doubt worth the drive to Grand Ledge. Once you experience the location in Grand Ledge you will never want to come back to this location. The staff here skimp you on meat portions and seem to do it consistently. read more

The food was ok, but the owner was atrocious! A young man was admittedly moving around a lot, but didn't seem to be acting poorly. She comes out of nowhere and starts yelling at him, accusing him of stealing a cup and cussing. She told him "you better act right and don't you disrespect my kids!" I didn't hear what he was saying at all before she came out, let alone any cussing. Additionally the cashier even said he gave the guy the cup. I don't know what that guy did, but the owner behaved very unprofessionally, yelling across the restaurant and making accusations. She wouldn't even let him reply when he tried. She just yelled and stomped back to the kitchen. She could have easily pulled him aside and talked to him like an adult. read more

The food okay when they give you the correct order. The customer service of the "manager" was below par. Incredibly rude, I placed an order a day prior for carry out got home and found that my vegetarian sub loaded with pepperoni, yes I mistakenly called a wrong Mancinos to report the mistake they had made. Next day go into the same Mancinos I had ordered from the night prior that messed my order up. The same person who gave me the order the night before remembered me however after he spoke with the "manager" she refused to replace my sub because I didnt have "pictures". Honestly she wasn't very personable and had terrible people skills. If your ordering from expect to wait around 20-30 mins for an incorrect order. Looks nice outside and in, however I've been here twice and both times my order has been messed up. Both times I sat waiting for 15 minutes and when I went to check on my order it was sitting on the counter getting cold, even though I specifically stated that it was for here and they said they'd bring it out to me. Been there twice. Both times they made are order wrong. I even had them repeat it back to me. Ordered in person waited in store and went home. At home we noticed they were not even close. I called to let them no this happened thinking this was an issue with there process and would be an easy fix for them and the next customer. They were very rude and wanted no part of my call.
