On the suggestion from my wife, I called a computer repair company in Walnut Creek who sent a technician to my house to simply replace the non-functioning HD with a larger, industrial quality CCTV HD. It so happened the technician knew exactly the problem I had and ordered the correct HD. The new HD did not even to be formatted!! Cost for the new CCTV HD was $150.00!!! I don't enjoy being "played" by merchants such as these people from this company!!l Response/reply: I spoke to a "receptionist." She put me on hold for a few minutes; when she returned to the call, she told me the "manager" told her to tell me the company doesn't service systems they did not install. Plus they are not familiar the brand of CCTV. At no time was I given the option or ever asked if I wanted a technician to go to my house to check out my system. The original installer wanted to sell me a new system as well!! The original installer said my CCTV system should be replaced if it stops working because the NVR is not serviceable. My system was warranted for 3 years; the HD in the NVR failed 2 months after the warranty expired. Response: I am simply writing (recording) what I was told by the receptionist. I told her my CCTV was giving me an error message "not recording." I asked her "...do you service CCTVs?" She said the manager said they don't service my brand of CCTV. She said the manager said,, "he is not familiar with your CCTV." ***I found the NVR brand and cameras on AM.Z.N. I simply said "OK!"

I hired Bay Area Furniture Assembly to assemble my home gym. The initial installation seemed to go…read moresmoothly, and I was satisfied when the technician left. Unfortunately, I discovered issues the first time I actually used the machine. The pulley system had been routed incorrectly in two places, causing the cables to twist, tangle, create excessive friction, and even go completely slack and off the track when the weight was removed. I immediately sent photos and videos showing the problem. We agreed that she would return at 7:00 PM to inspect and correct the issue. However, she did not show up at the agreed time and instead requested additional photos and videos that had already been provided. Based on the communication and tone, it became clear that returning to fix the issue was not a priority. Ultimately, I had to hire another service to correct the installation. They completely rerouted the pulley system and lubricated the moving parts, which resolved the stiffness and functionality problems. I informed Bay Area Furniture Assembly of this, but never received a response. I am disappointed with the level of customer service, especially considering the price paid. While the initial assembly appeared fine, the real test came when the equipment was put into use, and unfortunately the follow-up support and accountability were lacking. ----Follow Up Reply Thank you for your response. This will be my final response, and readers can do with this information what they will. Several statements in your response are inaccurate. You stated that no follow-up time was agreed upon. In writing, you suggested 7 PM and I agreed to that time. You stated there was no phone conversation. We spoke by phone for over five minutes regarding the issue. You stated that additional photos and videos were not provided. I documented the issue and communicated it as soon as it became apparent during actual use of the machine. I travel frequently for work, and although 12 days had passed since assembly, the machine had not yet been utilized. The issue was discovered the very first time I used it. It also makes little sense that I would voluntarily pay a second company to inspect and repair the machine if there had been no issue with the original setup. I requested no refund, no compensation, and made no demands. I simply needed a functioning machine and chose the quickest path to resolving the problem rather than continuing to troubleshoot. The second company corrected the pulley routing and made additional adjustments to ensure smooth operation. After their work, the stiffness, twisting, and slack cable issues were completely resolved. Whether that means the original assembly was incorrect or not, the fact remains that the machine did not function properly until another company corrected it. My review reflects not only the installation itself, but also the follow-up customer service and accountability afterward. I paid for a properly functioning machine and ultimately had to pay a second company to achieve that. I stand by my review and wish Bay Area Furniture Assembly the best going forward.

Great team of technicians! We had Man Cave install an entirely new entertainment system at our residence after 20 years using outdated equipment. Man Cave followed our music/TV desires and results were exactly what we wanted. 5 discrete sound areas, 3 discrete TV viewing areas, indoors/outdoors, all controlled by 3 handheld remotes. Example of their dedication: 1 night, 11pm, I had to have them stop working due to work related noise. Afterwards, I was so impressed with their dedication to finishing the install, I invited their entire team ( 5 installers) to our family's 4th of July party (which they accepted). Then, Matt approached me at a more ideal time and he helped me understand how the sytem would work, what our specific options were and how he saw the outdoor and indoor system coming together at our property. Matt's team member, Srdj, is also a local guy that provides the 'ying to the yang' of Matts high energy and enthusiasm - they are a dynamic team and spoke in terms we could understand and appreciate. There were a number of wiring and preparation steps that they recommended I think about in antipaction of the system being installed. Matt and Srdj were polite and always available to answer our many questions about the wiring, etc. The day of the install, these guys roll into the driveway, ready to get things installed, assured us that they would hang around until we were completely comfortable with the system and did exactly that. My wife and I are very pleased with the service and since that time, I have become friendly with these guys. Apparently, they are a bit reluctant to ask for a testimonial on Yelp or any other medium, but we insisted. Emails with product information were incorrect and took multiple attempts to get accurate information. They called me back a couple times on the wrong phone number. Reason I didn't answer - it's not my phone number. My correct phone number was right on the receipt! It started when they called me to pick up my TV and was told upon arrival that it wasn't there. There's an hour in my life I don't get back. No one picks up the phone there - not in sales and not in service. No way to leave a message and the phone goes on eternal ring. More time sucking. Emails and phone calls go unanswered and take several days to receive responses. They'll probably say they'll call you at 10, but instead call you at noon. The sale has already been made, and it's very clear you are no longer their priority, nor do they care about your time, their personal reputation, or their company's reputation. Turn'em and burn'em. They don't stand behind the products they sell. Did they once even hint at apologizing for anything that transpired - nope! They attempted to make a profit off of my warranty issue by selling me a second full-rate installation. I had already paid someone to install the defective TV, now I've got to pay them, with profit? At least give me a discount. If you want expert advice, this is a great choice. But, after you get the advice, go somewhere else to buy what you want at a place with decent post-sale service.

First they brought me the wrong TV . It was a 4k tv not an 8k and these guys swore that it was the correct TV but I stuck to my guns and kept telling them I bought an 8k tv. At the end I was correct and these clowns had to take the tv back and bring me the correct tv ( it's a $2,000 difference in price from 4k to 8k tv). So they needed to go all the way to the third floor of my house and do 2x's the work since they don't know how to read tv boxes which clearly show 8k & 4k in huge letters. Btw this was all during covid and I told them I didn't want to much traffic going through my home . Well that didn't happen as they needed 4 ppl to install one tv. Then the install was horrible as they drilled extra holes in my wall (they did not measure correctly the first time) & they damaged my furniture when they dropped a drill on it ( my furniture was very expensive). Now I'm going through technical issues as the soundbar is having issues with the TV when using arc. They did come fix it but now they need to come hide another wire behind the wall . The remote that I paid about $500 for with custom programming works when it wants to . I don't know what else to do do I called a customer service phone number to complain only to be told that the magnolia brand will be going out of business. Like wtf . Now I'm gonna be stuck with shitty tv soundbar & remote that are not compatible with each other????? My wife is so upset and she constantly reminds me of the terrible time she is having with the remote. I bought a system from magnolia 15 years ago and that system works better than this new one but it was almost $20,000 and is installed in my theater room . My three other system which are in my living room and two kids bedrooms also work better and were purchased at Best Buy. Those are Sonos, Bose and LG sound with LG and Samsung tvs .
