I wanted to try Armenian food and thanks to yelp, found this restaurant. I met up with 3 girlies for dinner and we all enjoyed our meal. The service was quick and the food was good. I ordered a kafta kabob plate that was well seasoned and came with delicious, fragrant rice. I had the Chicken Shawarma bowl. It only contained chicken and rice. I was a little disappointed it did not include hummus or salad or any other item like other establishments. The chicken was spiced a little to much for my liking as well. The rice wasn't as yellow or fragrant as other rice I've had at other Mediterranean places. This was an okay establishment for me. The customer service was stupendous but their meal was not life changing for me. Definitely will come here again only if I'm really craving Mediterranean. read more

I hate giving bad reviews but I need to be honest here: the food I got was not edible and should not have been served at all. I got the chicken shawarma plate. The flavors were ok. The rice, sauce, and hummus were good but the shawarma is what I couldn't eat. It was so dry, like jerky dry. No exaggeration at all; it looked and felt like plastic and I couldn't chew it. There were a couple of edible pieces so I can at least tell you that the flavors were ok (still not the greatest). I don't I understand how someone could serve this, not notice, and think it's acceptable. Hopefully it was a one time mistake but we will never be back. read more

I tried Mama's Kabab for the first time today, and I was blown away. I ordered a chicken and rice bowl, which came with a garlic puree sauce. Everything was so fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The chicken was juicy, the rice was cooked just right, and the garlic puree enhanced all of the wonderful flavors. I brought some home for my husband, and he loved it, too. His only complaint was that I hadn't saved enough for him! Mama Kabab herself (the owner I believe) was there, and was so nice and cheerful. I like how they have an option for rice vs salad since I'm avoiding rice right now. Although people may want both and I know other kabob places offer both from the start. It's a small place with fans but it's simply not enough. The grill heats the whole place up. There's many different options of what to order from hummus to plates to grape leaf rolls. The beef shawarma was moist and the overall sandwich was pretty good. I'm not a big fan of pickled radish but I ate it anyways. The chicken is the highest rated item on yelp so I wish I would of tried that to potentially fall in love. The rice though. Oh my goodness it quite amazing. The flavor, the texture and everything was 100% on point. Wow. Going to this place just for the rice is enough for me. I skipped out on baklava because a line was starting and it was just so so hot.
