The employees at the Gilbert Farmer's market are always so personable and friendly! Went to Uptown and was met with bad attitudes for no reason. They didn't know the price of the coffee I was buying and spoke to each other more than me. Spent $14 on 2 coffees for them to taste too strong like cigarettes! So disappointing.

Expensive for a whole cup of ice and it tasted just all right . Even Starbucks give just half cup of ice.

Absolute Perfection! Hands Down the Best Coffee in Arizona!…read more My husband and I are avid flavored latte lovers, and wherever we travel, we make it our personal mission to hunt down the absolute best lattes in the area. Now that we live here, we dedicate one day a week to exploring a brand-new local coffee shop. We've been living in Arizona for 7 years now, and after visiting The Coffee Builders in Phoenix this week, my only question is: Where has this place been all our lives?! This incredible hidden gem is tucked away in the Warehouse District and is a bit out of sight--you'd likely never just stumble across it unless you were explicitly looking for it. But the moment you walk through the doors, you are transported. The architectural design is completely unexpected, modern, and striking--especially the gorgeous, geometric upside-down wooden pyramids stretching across the ceiling. It creates an upscale, unique atmosphere unlike anywhere else. Now for the main event: the drinks and food. I ordered the Orange Blossom Latte and my husband ordered The Slopes. Both drinks were absolutely outstanding. They were rich, velvety, thick, and incredibly creamy with deep, distinct flavor profiles. Best of all, they weren't overly sugary--which is huge for us since we typically prefer our coffee at half-sweetness. To pair with our drinks, we tried the Blueberry Bourbon Maple Pastry. It was phenomenal: flaky on the outside, light and pillowy-creamy on the inside, beautifully balanced, and generously loaded with fresh blueberries. The staff was highly professional, exceptionally welcoming, and deeply knowledgeable about their shop and everything on the menu. From this day forward, The Coffee Builders is officially our #1 favorite coffee shop in AZ. Do yourself a favor, make this a top priority on your bucket list, and treat yourself--you will not be disappointed!

There's a large parking lot, but I could see parking being a challenge during peak hours. The "shack" is charming and the interior is vibrant and inviting. Seating is limited inside but there's more outside. The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu had a variety of enticing options, but I went with the staff's recommendation of El Paisano sandwich and my son ordered the El Chicano sandwich. I also got an iced almond milk latte with honey and cinnamon powder and my son got an iced Americano. My El Paisano was very tasty. It usually comes with chorizo, but I requested it without. Without the chorizo, the only protein left is an egg, which isn't enough for me so I should have asked for an additional egg on my sandwich. My latte was solid. My son liked his sandwich and Americano as well. We enjoyed sitting outside, taking advantage of the lovely patio weather we had back in May. They have a complimentary water station which was a thoughtful touch.

Apparently there were some issues in the restaurant's kitchen that make the food which impacted food service being slow but Alfie took care of the situation and me which I truly appreciated it. Went out of my way for this one and it was totally worth it…read more It's a bit hidden, but once you turn the corner it's a delightful find. It's a fantastic coffee shop designed with simplicity and producivity in mind - hosted in a gorgeous building with exposed brick and ceilings, which give it an industrial feel. My take on the space was it breathes this interesting balance of lingering, connection with others, and productivity. Almost every seat had a corresponding table, so that's a warm invitation to bring your devices in. There was a Ducati (!!!) parked right across from the coffee bar, which I later learned belongs to the owner just sharing his passion with the coffee community. Small detail, but it says something about the place. Definitely not a coffee shop trying to be a copy and paste chain. Menu had a few creative options I wouldn't mind coming back to try. They've also got their own merch line; the cups were also designed well enough that you'd actually want to keep one. There's street art right across from the shop worth a look if you've got a few minutes to spare. If you don't mind a short drive for a great cup and a space that actually feels lived in, this one delivers. PS - Parking can be tricky. It looks like there's ample space to park, but a lot of that is for Galvanize and the offices in the building. Towing trucks come over often, so heads up if you're going to park there. Don't get caught in the wrong spot.

When we got to the window, we were handed 1 Matcha and as we waited for the second one we paid and thought it was unusual that it was $8.20 when we calculated around $12 with tax included. We asked for the receipt and opted for receipt via text, because they did not have the paper option, and when we received it it showed that we were charged for 1 Tea Latte shortie with oak at $7.35 ($6.60+$.75 for the oatmilk upcharge if we do the math) + tax to total $8.20. We asked the employees about the price difference from the menu and that we wanted two matchas. The employees had a hard time explaining the price difference and when we asked for the second one we were charged $6.60 + tax which totaled $7.20 for the second one. We stopped coming here due to their inconsistency in pricing. We used to get a cafe de olla and one of the sweet mocha ones, the prices were always inconsistent, we were hoping to have a better experience this time. They didn't even have a manager we could speak to. For sure we won't be coming here anymore, nor will we be recommending the place. EDIT: We threw away the drinks because they were horrible. They tasted like coffee sweetener with matcha, too sweet, and they just left this sticky dry mouth taste like medicine.
