Was okay but not great. Shopfront is a little run down, but the service was better than I expected, so that will make me return. The burrito had just the right amount of everything for me. I like lots of bacon and not too much potato. The cheese and egg ratio was balanced, neither was too much or too little. If I ever had time, I would eat in; seemed relatively nice/clean inside. What I would have liked is spicier green chili. I mean it was bland. I put some ghost pepper hot sauce on it when I got home. In contrast, there was a lot of salt all around, which was a bit too much for me. Minor concern, but gentleman at the counter forgot to give me any salsa, and we had specifically discussed the salsa, so it wasn't that hard to remember. 1st time here good atmosphere they had good food and fast.The waitress was very friendly and helpful.The food was inexpensive and you get good quality and quantity on your plate. They have kid meals as well. They do carry out which is a good thing. We saw customers coming in and leaving happily.Which is a good thing to see. :) read more

went there this morning. ordered three bacon burritos. the worker. was working on an order for someone else. she gave me my order before the one she was working on. I got sausage instead of bacon. she obviously gave some food that was sitting around for a while. the tortilla was all hard on the bottom . and tasted old. It just so happens that the burrito special for today is sausage. I even left a good tip. got home and was so disappointed. the last burrito I am getting fro there. read more

Used to go to this place back In the day when it was sort of a Chipotle type place before Chipotle and it was fantastic. This was probably 2000-2006 timeframe. Not sure if this is the same people that own it but they are sitting on a gold mine if they would step up. Food is good but the two ladies that were there today were more focused on the little girl AKA(daycare) than the two customers! Haha I wouldn't mind taking it over and killing it! We were looking for a new spot for breakfast and had driven past Mama's Cafe, so thought we'd give it a try. The restaurant is surprisingly large inside and fairly welcoming. They have take-away burritos and plenty.of seating. However, the whole place smelled strongly of cleaning fluid which was unpleasant. Menu is small, and there was no kids menu for breakfast, which was a disappointment. I had a breakfast burrito and it was tasty, with spicy green chile. My daughter's breakfast was enormous, but nothing special. Pancakes were greasy and served with margarine. Other kid's BLT sandwich was nothing special. And, service wasn't great. We were the only people in the restaurant but my cup got empty a couple of times. Staff were just hanging out and watching TV (which was loud and distracting). Not likely to go back. read more

Update: Brought the family in for Sunday morning breakfast. Took over an hour to get our food. There was roughly three other tables occupied. We received an apology but nothing more,explanation,discount anything. The food remains excellent,but the service is iffy at best. Breakfast burrito is big. The sign outside advertising $2.50 burritos is a little misleading. There is only 1 burrito available at that price,I think it changes everyday between the different meats offered,bacon,sausage,chorizo,ham etc. This place is no frill and very basic which is a good thing. read more

Breakfast burritos are so good! We normally go to Santiago's but I think Mamas cafe is our new spot for breakfast burritos.

While this place doesn't have the most extensive menu, it has all the basics for a good diner and a couple of surprises. I had their carnitas skillet with a side of pancakes and sausage, and everything tasted really good. I'm a big carnitas fan to begin with, so this was a particularly appealing option. The interior was clean and service was prompt. The only problem that I see for this place is that the location is a little hidden. It's in a really small strip mall tucked between a larger strip mall and a scattering of other buildings, making it hard to see from nearby streets. But once you find it, it seems to be worth visiting. read more

We order burritos frequently for events. 35 at a time or more. They always give me a cooler for burritos to keep warm and bucket for salsa and trust me to return them later. And their daily breakfast special burritos are so good and $2.50. Amazing and recommend highly. read more

Got a coupon that finally convinced us to go try this place for breakfast this morning, and boy, am I freaken glad we did! Delicious breakfast burrito with chorizo (though I'd get it smothered next time because it was a little dry). The country potatoes are outstanding. The bacon was life-changing. The coffee was terrible, but you kind of expect that in a place like this. Nice folks, weird decor (I think it's left over from the pho place that was in this location previously), and a huge amount of food for the price. This might be my favorite greasy spoon-style diner in Longmont. Oh, and I wish they'd take out the TVs. read more

No waiters or waitresses so you order at the register...and the service was crap, like how is that possible? There was only 5 items on the breakfast menu which were only breakfast burritos on a dry erase board. WHY would you call yourself Mamas cafe and not have a normal/basic breakfast menu and waiters? Mama's big boy did not disappoint, it was without a doubt the best omlet I have ever eaten and I've eaten them all across the country if you haven't been here you need to check this place out I can't complain about the service I got because I was the only customer in the joint at the time I like it that way can't guarantee it'll happen to you. A hidden gem. A little more expensive than fast food but worth every penny. (Truth be told, I wouldn't feed fast food to a coyote) The food here is wonderful and the waitress is adorable. Was looking for breakfast burritos around 630 am and it was one of the few places that was open. Stopped in and ordered the bacon breakfast burrito which was on special for $2.50. The rest, which was 6 varities, were only $3.50. The burrito was delicious! The size was hefty, the green Chile flavorful, and was cheesy, but not greasy. They offer green and red salsa on the side. The burrito does not require this by any means but adds an extra layer of deliciousness. Overall, one of the best breakfast burritos that I have had in some time. read more

I ordered the breakfast burrito special for $2.50 and asked for extra potatoes. The rude girls behind the counter charged me $4.50 and I asked why they charged me $2 for extra potato. They said if you change anything that it is no longer a special. I had already paid and was not happy but they wouldn't give me back any money. This was my first time there and I told them they should have said something when I ordered. I took my burrito home and it was the worst breakfast burrito I've ever had in Longmont. I asked for hot green chili and there was none. No cheese, just potatoes and eggs with no flavor. There was supposed to be chorizo and they put such as small amount you couldn't even taste it. To top it all off, about 2 hours later I got terrible stomach cramps and then diarrhea. I will NEVER eat there again and advice that you shouldn't either.
