Overpriced for small amount of non stellar food. Before meal, only tiny little basket of greasy chips offered with no refills. Had no avocados available even though dish was supposed to have guacamole . Oh well, was charged the same high price for the entree anyway . This little hole in the wall place serves simple, authentic dishes, and they are really good. I had a barbacoa plate, served with fresh, hot tortillas. I also tried the carnitas, lengua en salsa roja, and we bought a variety of pan dulce to take home. The meat in all of the dishes was very tender and the sauces were deliciously spicy. The breads were very soft and fresh. There was plenty of food and the prices were reasonable. The service was friendly and quick. We'll come back often! read more

There are many family run hole in the wall Mexican restaurants in Longmont. The menu in most cases are more or less the same and they are also more or less pretty good. I come to La Panda for one dish, it is the pan fried whole trout. The trout is fried to perfection and the green chili that comes with it just goes well with the fish. Since the fish is cooked to order, it does take a little longer to prepare. Perhaps I should try other dishes, but I cannot resist to order the trout every time I come here. read more

Much different than my first experience a few days ago. Beef fajitas were chopped into tiny pieces, very dry and lacked flavor. The rice and beans were served cold, chips were not crispy and flour tortillas were tough. The service also lacked, I requested jalapeños with fajitas and ask they leave off the lettuce, they must have forgotten. Unfortunately they've proven very inconsistent based on this experience. read more

Phenomenal Mexican food. I usually get carne asada and am blown away by the flavor every time, no matter who's in the kitchen. Fast tasty Mexican food in a diner/bakery atmosphere. Nothing fancy, just consistently delicious food. I eat mostly vegetarian so I can't speak to the various meats, but their non-meat options are good and filling, fresh toppings, and yummy green salsa with the complimentary chips. Decent beer options, good sized menu overall. I've always had excellent service too! Tip: You pay at the counter when you're done, and there are Mexican pastries and other treats you can impulse buy on your way out. read more

$7 for 2 mediocre breakfast burrito (Ham, eggs, cheese and beans). I asked the man behind the counter whatever breakfast burrito he recommended. The quality was there, especially the flour tortilla. Nice crisp taste, thin and very soft. It is indeed authentic as far as being Mexican. Burritos are small, in all of Mexico I have never found American standard size burritos. I'm happy with bringing the authentic flavor but don't bring the small sizes. After my experience with la panda I was not fulfilled, hopefully for future clientele of this place gets better servings. read more

Don't get the al pastor meat!!! Got crispy al pastor tacos. I thought there was potatoes or onion pieces in the meat for some reason which not only was tough and stringy but they were not potatoes.. it was congealed fat! chunks of fat. (pics included) It was dripping in grease pools and every piece of meat had a huge chunk of fat on it. The flavor was fine but the texture and fat chunks really made it hard for me to get through it. This is a great place to get real Mexican food. The combination plates are a good deal - a lot of food for your $, but it is A LOT of food. My favorites are the a la carte tacos. They're simple but very yummy - two soft corn tortillas with your choice of meat (I usually get carne asada -moist and full of flavor,) fresh cilantro and onion. Ask for some lime wedges to squeeze over the top and you've got a delicious taco. Pair it with a bottle of Mexican Coke (sweetened with cane sugar instead of corn syrup,) and it's a perfect lunch. read more

This is as close to real mexico street tacos as I have had (in longmont). If you like "casita de durango" in broomfield, i think you will like this place as well. I had the abobada and al pastor tacos from the al la carte menu and they were fantastic. The chips are great and so is the green sauce they come with. this place is okay. i usually order the chicken enchiladas to go .. the sauce is decent and the chicken tastes okay. it comes with beans, rice and lettuce and tomato. my biggest complaint. i had ordered some chips and salsa last time i was in.. the chips where good.. but when i opened the cup they put the salsa in .. it was the consistency of water. it was like eveything fell to the bottom of the bucket and they just scooped up the top which was all water. gross. i MAY be back and give it one more shot as i do like the enchilada sauce but so far this place has a strike 1 read more

Definitely a fan, after my first visit today. Had the #6 - tacos with al pastor. Tacos were full of meat, shells were grilled, dish was served with a side of beans and rice. Delicious. At first you might think this is a Chinese joint but make no mistake this is straight up delicious Mexican street food. The prices are so cheap and the Ala' Cart menu so diverse that it's almost too much fun to eat here. Get a Chile Relleno, some tacos, a cheese enchilada, go loco! Love this place for the authentic Mexican cafe food and look. Not fancy- just good food, decent service, and tempting Mexican baked goods. It's rare that we don't leave with some goodies to take home. I usually get soft tacos - pork ( al pastor or carnitas) or chicken, unless I want something exotic. Best and most authentic Mexican food in Longmont. I grew up in Texas and they have the same northern Mexican authentic food I grew up on and loved, so when I moved here and found this place I was happy and feel a little piece of home every time I go there. And by every time I go there I mean twice a week at least! Excellent breakfast tacos every time and I have never had a problem here, and the pastries are to die for, but come in early so you can catch a churro because they only do a few for the day but they're definitely worth getting! read more
