Food: Definitely not authentic pho here, i would not recommend. The broth didn't taste like pho at all and the chicken came on the side and was cooked differently. The menu has no Vietnamese so when I ordered in Vietnamese they didn't understand me. It would be nice for them to at least include Vietnamese translation on the menu since they are a Viet restaurant. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't good. Service: Nothing special, average. Waitress did not check in on me. She was easy to call though for the bill and was quick Ambiance: small and cozy read more

We got Combo beef pho and catfish salad. The pho had the best beef ball ever. Catfish in the salad was nice texture and marinated. The dishes are a little pricey. A few tables to be sat. Service was fine. read more

Authentic Vietnamese pho with a rich, flavorful broth and fresh ingredients. The beef meatballs were especially delicious springy, juicy, and full of flavor. Even the Vietnamese iced coffee tasted just like it does in Vietnam. Great service and definitely worth coming back! Thank you for the delicious food! Everything was amazing. read more

Mama Pho is probably one of the better Vietnamese spots for Pho on the east side. The broth is tasty and I really liked how they have an option for a smaller size for cheaper. The Spring Rolls are also good and the prices are fair here - will definitely be dining here again, either in store or for takeout! read more

I came here for dinner with a friend on a Friday night. We got there around 8pm and it wasn't very busy. You press a button on your table when you're ready to order/pay or if you want to see the hostess. I had the pho with brisket. It was good. The condiment bar at the table was stocked with sriracha, chili crisp, and vinegar (?), which helped add a lot of flavor to the broth. read more

This place has considered my favorite spot for Pho. It's Southern style of broth (more sweet) and big portion American style. They keep updating designs and Price so be careful. Food is consistently and I know that they don't cook it here from scratch here. It's also more like self serving even there're 2 staff running the shop. Their Banh Mi is big portion plus a free Pho broth if you order before 4pm. read more

A simple and authentic pho place, almost hidden find! The menu has lot of options and the beef broths (always judge on the broths for pho) were super tasty. The short rib was falling off the bone. We also tried the dumplings for appetizers which was a nice touch. You can tell is home made with tasty ingredients. They have a service button when you need to order or to pay, simple and easy, and they have just enough tables to sit down in a comfortable booth to enjoy a good pho meal. read more

Mama Pho - Short Rib Pho and Beef Meatball Pho - Noodles Near Me - New York, New York

Came for lunch break, 2 people. Small space but didn't have to wait for a table. Smelled amazing when we walked in! Most people seemed to have ordered pho (if not all of them who were there at the time). I had the regular beef pho, the other had it with extra noodles. Great broth, portion and great quality noodles. The staff was very nice. read more

We tried Mama Pho for the first time and glad that we did! It does look empty most of the time, which was probably why we never stopped in. On a cold winter day, there's nothing better than a bowl of delicious soup noodles. The soup was really the star of the show. It was full of flavor, savory (compared to some sweeter soups) and satisfying to drink. Both the vegetarian soup and the beef soup were really outstanding and way beyond what I expected. The portion size is decent as well and there was a good amount of beef balls, tripe, etc. in the Mama Pho bowl. There was also a good amount of tofu. I wasn't food coma stuffed after the meal but I did think that they could have given some more noodles. Maybe l'll ask next time. The service was ok - we had to ask for water after the waiter took our order. The food came out fast (maybe as expected?) so I was happy with that. read more

Cute spot, not too far from Grand Central. Really small, nice staff, food was great. I got the flank pho and spring rolls. I wanted veggie, but they only had pork, which was fine. Came out pretty quickly. I think next time I go I'm going to ensure to just order the spring rolls by itself. And then the pho, because these came out at the same time, I like to have it separately. But it was good, the broth was phenomenal. It was great. I liked the service that they had you ring a bell whenever you're ready or needed service so that was very convenient. I'll be back. read more

I had this bookmarked as I wanted to check out the pho here. It is named after the noodle soup dish. Anyways, this place is a DIY in all aspects such as first come first serve in getting seats if you're eating inside. You seat youself after you order from the counter. They do bring out the tray of food to you, but other then that everything else you need to do. The utensils and napkins are all there for you to get yourself too. People tend to wipe up the tables themselves if it gets super busy. Sometimes you may have to clean up after you eat. So why tip if you do everything yourself? For the food, it's okay. Nothing amazing and it's quite overpriced. Maybe the other entrees would be better but I won't be going back as I was expecting better. The soup was quite oily. I guess it was decently portioned, but at other restaurants you get more bang for the buck. read more

It's been a minute since I've had pho. My friend and her family spent the day walking around Manhattan and the weather was pretty cold and rainy. Hot, (super) big bowl of chicken pho surely hit the spot! Dragon fruit drink was nice and refreshing. Food came out pretty quickly and staff was friendly and laid back. Chicken was so tender and had a delicious marinate. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. read more

The food was okay but nothing spectacular. I got the shrimp spring roll, beef pho, and a pork bahn mi sandwich. I agree with another reviewer that said the amount of meat was very small in the pho especially for the price of the pho bowl. I'm used to chargrilled pork bahn mi sandwiches but they only had regular pork and it was kind of sweet which I didn't really like. Overall I thought the place wasn't bad but wouldn't go back either . read more

For all pho lovers or someone looking to try vietnamese pho, this spot is awesome! Has the rib eye pho (A1) the meat comes uncooked so you can add to the flavorful broth to be cooked. I tried the delicious Pork Dumpling Soup, which had that great tasting onions and cilantro. Also, the Classic Sandwich was just great.

It's a little hole in the wall on 2nd avenue but the food is amazing. We tried their vegetarian summer rolls, vegetarian banh mi, and the noodle salad. All were flavorful and delicious. Although it was too hot for Pho, the tofu banh mi came with a bowl of vegetarian broth and I can't now wait for a cold day to have the pho. read more

I love this place! They have some of the tastiest vegetarian pho around, especially the broth--it's rich and flavorful. My only small complaint is the fried tofu in the pho; I personally prefer steamed tofu, which they don't offer. Still, it's a great spot and well worth a visit. read more

How are the reviews so low???? Some of the best authentic pho in nyc. Huge portions lots of soup and meat. Soup is very flavorful and rich. I came here around 4pm on a Saturday. Apparently they close between 3:30pm and 4:30pm on the weekends. I waited till they reopened at 4:30pm. The lone employee did not come back until 4:40pm. He opened the door for me and welcomed me inside to sit and wait. The gentleman worker was super friendly despite being the only employee. You order and pay for your food first (McDonalds style) before being served. Since I was the first and only customer when they reopened at 4:30pm my service was super fast. As I was eating, I see multiple Uber Eats and DoorDash drivers coming in to pick up food. Because there was only one employee preparing the food, the delivery drivers had a considerable amount of wait time. The Pho was very flavorful. The broth tasted authentic. There was a good amount of Ribeye, but considering the price per bowl, I wish there was more meat. They already add the Thai Basil/Mint and bean sprouts in your soup when serving. Unlike some places that serve it separately for the customer to add. Overall, I personally had a great experience. The Pho was tasty and satisfied my craving. I'm glad I was the first customer after they reopened in the afternoon. If I came maybe around 5pm or later, I probably would have waited much longer since there was only one employee who was not only catering to the customers in the restaurant but also catering and preparing deliveries. read more

Very small store front Vietnamese spot and could easily miss. We were looking for something casual to eat for dinner and decided to check it out around early evening. It was pretty empty, and no one was standing by the register until after a min of us waiting... we ordered the beef pho and lemongrass chicken banhmi and both were pretty basic... the sandwich filling lacked chicken too. Overall, we weren't really impressed by the food and service of the restaurant. Definitely could use some improvement in the ambiance and service. read more

Not quite sure why this place deserves its low rating but I ordered takeout from this place and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I had porkchop pho and porkchop over rice. Ok the price was quite high for what you're getting and the food wasn't top notch nor the portions huge, but in the end I was satisfied. The soup tasted authentic and they provided all the necessary accompaniments. The porkchop had the right seasoning and wasn't overcooked. I may not be a regular here but the food was solid and probably deserves a 3.5 star review. read more

My first dine-in at this place. Overall just okay. Definitely avoid the meatball as I bite the meatball it does not feel like the meat at all. I feel like bites cotton. I don't understand the low reviews of this place. I had personally stayed away because of them but I really really wanted pho one night so I went with it and I am so happy I did!! I wanted to test the place so I ordered a bahn mi, the appetizer pho, and the chicken summer rolls. Each one was super fresh and delicious! The bread on the bahn mix was a legit fluffy baguette and the sauces that accomplished the summer rolls were incredible. The pho was small because it was the appetizer portion but the broth was super tasty! I was really impressed with all the food and I took everything to go and this place does the best job of packaging takeout. You could order several days of lunches and put them in your fridge because it is packed so well. Love this hidden gem! read more

I'm shocked by the negative reviews. I've been trying several Pho shops in the midtown/UES area and this is by far the best. I don't know how they do it, but they cook their brisket to be extremely soft and tender... it melts in your mouth. Went out of my way to write this review! read more

This is a new pho spot opened very recently, and I must say this is now my favorite Pho place!!! I've been ordering from this place almost once a week now. Highly recommended!! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Called to confirm ingredients used in the chicken pho. Was assured no soy sauce is used. Received meal and it was clear that the food was made with soy sauce. It took me 10 minutes to get a clear answer my second call that they'd lied about the ingredients the first time. Totally incompetent staff who clearly have know idea what the fuck they are taking about. I'd say do not order here if you have any allergy at all because they will just lie straight to your face. A lot to be desired. I ordered the Mama Pho. Busser poured boiling soup on my lap and said sorry and left. My leg is red from the burn, no comp. Nothing. Worse yes, the pho wasn't good.
