Grass Jelly

Ordered the Durian mochi and grass jelly. The texture of the mochi was incredible- extremely soft and stretchy. They used real durian inside with whipped cream. It was so impeccable I had to get another one. Grass jelly flavor was okay not the best. Service and ambiance were good.

Mango daifuku mochi and green passion fruit tea

I stopped by to get their handmade daifuku mochi. I ordered a mango and durian mochi. The mango was the star. There was a large piece of mango wrapped in a pillowy bouncy, smooth and slightly chewy mochi skin. The durian was nice, but it was a durian and cream filling. I would have preferred more durian fruit in the filling. Service was fast and efficient. Credit card payment accepted. This dessert shop seemed like a popular hangout spot for a late night dessert as it was very busy.

Foods - interesting Chinese/Philippine fusion desserts - good Service- ok line up to buy (fairly busy) Ambiance - good/trendy. Good for people love desserts. Go try it out. Parking in front, but Remember to pay for your parking. Parking authority car are checking around to issue parking ticket. Recommended to try.

Very delicious desserts. We got the viral mango mochi and it was pretty good. The durian was also pretty fresh and tasty

we made our way to chinatown (calgary) at around 12:30 pm and disappointed that the mochi donut shop was closed. an eye catching wall showcasing mouthwatering mochi balls and other desserts piqued our interest. we walked in to this tiny strip mall and found mama dessert was not opened 'till 2:00 pm. we fed the parking meter and walked around chinatown, downtown and came back after 2:00 pm. this store is cozy and seats about six people. it was uncomfortably warm inside but the staff were courteous. the menu looked interesting, deciding on what to get was not easy, as there were many options including soy pudding, waffles, ice cream, mochi, fruit tea and more. the mango mochi is out of season. after much careful deliberation, we decided on sharing the signature dessert bowl. we chose the coconut sago as the base and for toppings, we chose lychee jelly, mango popping pearls, black sesame rice mochi, and creme brulee. the taste was just okay, we like that it wasn't too sweet, the textures of the lychee jelly, sago and popping pearls were good, but disappointed with the texture and taste of the black sesame rice mochi, it was not as soft and lacked that chewy, smooth elastic texture. the creme brûlée looked more like a pudding, it wasn't torched, so it was missing the hardened layer of caramelized sugar. maybe we should have gone with the deluxe musang king durian ice cream and mochi or the deluxe house made mango ice cream shaved ice, or...

They open until midnight, which is perfect for us after our dinner. They have 2 little tables outside for dine in. The staffs were really nice and helpful. They helped us to choose. Their menu is creative and has a lot of options. The dessert is huge, I think it should be good for 2 people/ portion.

Mama dessert is a newly opened Asian style dessert in the heart of Chinatown Calgary. They have so much on the menu including seasonal items too! The lines are long but here is what we had and what we recommend! * Japanese Coin Cheese ($11 for 2) ~ This was cheesy the pastry itself was sweet and savory and the cheese was cheesy and stringy perfect cheese pull. I did wish they use real cheese but overall it was a unique salty and sweet snack. 7/10. * Tofu pudding ($5.50) ~ we got it hot and had ginger syrup with it, the ginger syrup sadly was nonexistent, and overall the tofu pudding wasn't silky and soft as I hoped it would be. Definitely not sweet at all, and not strong in the ginger syrup. We also added Taro Paste (+$2.00) which wasn't sweet taro paste but added an interesting texture to the tofu pudding. 4/10. * Durian mochi ($7.50) ~ it was so good im glad we each got one, the durian mochi is huge! And not to mention I love the mochi texture, it was thick and chewy but not too thick. It was filled with cream and durian and was very delicious. Definitely one of the top durian mochi ive had with the perfect mochi consistency. 9/10. * Overall im glad we got to try it out, it was good and id definitely come back to try more of their mochi items! Pro-tip pay in cash for 5% discount!

Meet fresh is better, the store is very small but cute. The staff are nice paying cash get 5% off, but overall, quality of the dessert is not that good, taro ball kinda hard and too sweet, kinda pricy too

We had a decently large group, but everything still came out pretty fast after each of us ordered. I got a cold O-Matcha Latte which was smooth and refreshing. Also tried my friends' parfait and soft cream which were creamy and tasty too! No grittiness is any of the drinks or desserts I tried. It's a little on the pricier side but usually getting matcha is a once in a while treat for me anyways. No parking lot so you'll have to find street parking.

Don't go to the back lot where Peter's Drive-In is, as they have security watching for people who leave the lot and aren't getting food there. - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - Pretty small shop but cozy! They have a small fridge area for their desserts, and a pretty extensive menu of drinks. Staff was friendly and working pretty fast to get out all these matcha drinks! - DRINKS - O-Matcha Maple Syrup & Salt Latte: I figured while in Canada, why not get maple syrup whenever I can?! Although it did seem slightly sweeter, I couldn't exactly tell it was maple syrup. The matcha was nice and smooth though! - OVERALL - Happy that we found this matcha shop that seemed to be the only one within this area!

I tried their north 49 honeyberry flavor (always flavors) and their matcha lemon cookie flavor (seasonal flavor). I really liked the north 49 honeyberry flavor because of the slight tartness of the ice cream. I also don't like my ice cream too overbearingly sweet so north 49 honeyberry flavor was a good choice for me. The matcha lemon cookie was a solid optional too for a seasonal flavor. I'm a sucker for matcha flavor and the lemon cookie complemented the matcha well. The lemon cookie also added nice contrasts in texture too. The ambiance is nice too, I like the open space and greenery. I feel like the thorough menu description beforehand was a good touch so I felt very confident in what I wanted when ordering since the descriptions for flavors were so detailed. Would recommend trying Village Ice Cream and there are several locations throughout Calgary!

I went in at 7pm, there were still lots of cake selections to choose from. I got a piece of the Napoleon cake. It was not good at all. It didn't taste fresh. The inside was supposed to be flaky and crispy like a waffle. Unfortunately, it didn't taste like that at all.It was mushy and chewy in the center. They added a lot of icing sugar to make it sweet and attempted to make it fancy looking. But that is just add on that I can go to any grocery stores and get and put it on any cake. the top 2 cracker pieces were not crispy at all. It was super chewy like it has absorbed a lot of moister that it is no longer fresh. I am not sure if they made the cake the night before or if it has been sitting for days unsold in the fridge. I have had way better cake before. The piece of cake was not worth $3.99. Note that this place is ran by Chinese and sells Hong Kong style cake. They do not make French pastries or cakes. They are also not a Japanese cake store. I have been to France and Japan and no their cakes don't look even close like their cakes. I will not be back and will not recommend coming here. They do not accept credit cards for purchases under $10. Cash or debit only.

Not sure who's craving dessert at that hour, but clearly there's demand. The interior is cute and nicely decorated, and the menu offers plenty of choices. The crepe itself was tasty, but I wish they were a bit more generous with the ice cream and whipped cream since the portions felt small. Every time I come, I am consistently seated near the entrance, even though there are many other tables available. I also always order a decaf Americano. On one occasion, despite ordering a decaf Americano, I was served a latte instead and was told that decaf Americano was not available at this café. I have allergies to both milk and caffeine. The drink was only replaced after I clearly explained my allergies to the staff member who was serving me. I was even charged an additional fee for making the drink iced that day. What I found hard to understand was that the same staff member asked me to leave a Google review at the time -- which is why I am writing this review today. This is a menu item I order regularly, which made the situation even more confusing. Overall, the repeated seating choices and lack of attentiveness made me feel uncomfortable and singled out as a customer. I hope the staff can be more considerate and consistent in their service going forward.
