We got a kiwi/avocado and a taro, both of which were delicious. Tasted very fresh and the taro root tasted earthy and more like true taro root (I would imagine) than other boba places I have been to. Drinks were made to order after we put the orders in and were ready to go quickly. They also have daily lunch specials (most of those are meat-containing and we usually eat vegetarian) but the value for those looks good. Small shop wedged into a corner on the street with several other boba places in the immediate area - don't miss out! Would definitely come back here if in the area again.

Hi Tea is super small. It has been around for a long time. Even before Chatime. They have takeout food as well. They have a lunch special every day. I highly recommend getting that. I will definitely go back for their bubble tea or bubble waffle. It is located in an area surrounded by 6 or 7 bubble tea shops. Hi-Tea along with 3 other neighboring bubble tea stores open late.

I should've gotten their seasonal strawberry or mango matcha for some flavor or any of their matcha desserts. I got the o-matcha latte, so I can taste what their matcha tastes like without any additional flavor. I couldn't taste the matcha in the drink. It was a little sweet & flavorless. I also tried the o-matcha maple syrup & salt latte. The maple flavor is subtle & adds a little flavor to the matcha. I can't really taste the matcha in this drink either.

They have a small fridge area for their desserts, and a pretty extensive menu of drinks. Staff was friendly and working pretty fast to get out all these matcha drinks! - DRINKS - O-Matcha Maple Syrup & Salt Latte: I figured while in Canada, why not get maple syrup whenever I can?! Although it did seem slightly sweeter, I couldn't exactly tell it was maple syrup. The matcha was nice and smooth though! - OVERALL - Happy that we found this matcha shop that seemed to be the only one within this area!

One of the favorites is the grape mojito it's so light so refreshing and has the perfect light hint of green tea flavour with real smashed grapes and mint. This would taste really good with alcohol same with the pink drink that's just how good these drinks are. Most boba shops either have super fragrant floral teas or strong and bitter or too light where it just taste like cereal milk but not the moon. For coffee lovers my favourite coffee is their flame cloud latte. Better than my Starbucks go to drink. You have to make sure you stir it and mix up the brown sugar though. Personally I love asking for extra cloud foam. It's also a nice little spot for your friends to hang out since they have seating up to 20 here. Price wise, it's on the expensive side. My Pistachio cream was $14.25. That being said, I did choose a specialtiy flavour. You can go cheaper and it would cost you $10. Definately a place I'll return. It's better than the roll ice cream I had in Thailand.

It was super busy the first day we tried it on a Saturday evening. The other two times we came, it was pretty dead. So I would say the crowd can be hit or miss, but expect a long wait during peak times (Fri/Sat evening). Tried like 10 different items. I think my favorite was the jumbo mochi. It had fruit, ice cream, wrapped in mochi. It was the most well-rounded. I would skip on the mochi with peanuts, egg tart mochi, and Thai tea with tiger pearl (giant grass jelly balls). Many on the items are similar, with slight variations and it's hard to tell the different between them. The dessert with lemon and chia seeds was ok. I liked that it was on the lighter side, but the lemon flavor was too strong for me. The options with ice cream in them were the best. They make each item to order, so it can be a little slow but it's understandable. Order on the kiosk and wait to be called to pick up your order. You can order some of the items from the noodle side and I believe you can go sit inside that area as well. Tables only seem to be put out in the hallway during peak times, after the other businesses are closed. Parking is difficult. We were able to get lucky with free parking about a block away. There is a pay parking lot next to it, but it's a little expensive imo and it's very small/tight.

Back in 2017, I remembered seeing a billboard just outside of Jus Fruit (that was when all Quickly…read morechanged to Jus Fruit) saying they are the first to have shaved ice in YYC. I then bookmarked this place. Not until recently (after over 2 years), I finally got a chance to try their shaved ice. Vancouver had shaved ice long before Calgary. It was a hit over there. Also there are way more shaved ice places in metro Vancouver. I came here with my sister just shortly after our dinner (we ate at a place just few blocks down) for some shaved ice desserts. I was very full from dinner but decided to share something with her. We ended up settling for the creamy mango shaved ice (also known as bingsoo in Korean). I had better shaved ice in Vancouver. The good thing is that Jus Fruit shaved is not really shaved from a block of ice. It was really shaved frozen condense milk ice. So it is not exactly ice. There wasn't a lot of mango in their shaved ice cream. The mango are only placed on top of the dessert along with a few tiny pieces of cheese cakes (size of pinky but shorter). As well the portion is somewhat small for what they are charging compared to Vancouver. Their shaved ice was very flavorful and it wasn't bad. Just wished there were more mango slices. Again, not a lot of places offers shaved ice in Calgary. I guess if I wanted shave ice, I would have to come to Jus Fruit.

RATING: 8.5/10 - Jusfruit: Monster Egg Bomb Sandwiches What puts this dish in a league of its own is the Danish Style toast. It was buttery, slightly sweet, flaky and reminded me of a cross between a croissant and a slice of French toast. It was a great compliment to all the other ingredients. The scrambled eggs were moist and melted into the cheddar cheese. I got the Korean Beef-- great BBQ taste and extremely tender. The BF got the Lemon Grass Chicken which had a lovely, well, lemon grass flavour. Add the spicy sauce and mayo and you have a most scrumptious creation. My taste buds were thanking me. Yours will too. I would try another one of these in a heartbeat. Perfect hangover food. If you're looking for a quick breakfast or brunch, grab one of these babies.
