Decent bubble tea joint found inside the pacific mall. Seating is fairly substantial for its size but don't expect a lot of comfort. I really enjoyed my coffee milk bubble tea. It was the perfect combo of coffee and tea flavours. And I always enjoy the chewiness of the tapioca pearls. This place also has a large variety of crepes and waffles. They also have the Hong Kong style bubble waffle which is sort of like a bunch of cake pops connecting. We ordered a couple to try but they were out of ingredients and didn't let us know till the waffles were ready. They just added a substitution without asking to one of them but asked about the other and then they were out of what we asked for again so we're left with something different anyway. Despite that the soft cone stuffed waffles were still thoroughly enjoyable and I would definitely recommend checking them out.

    Strawberry almond bubble waffle

You can find the oh-so-instagrammable bubble waffle crepes here! I ordered the strawberry almond bubble waffle and it came to just about $9 after tax. The bubble waffle was a bit dense and not as crispy as I like and the ice cream inside was a cheap fake strawberry. They were also out of many ice cream flavors such as taro and green tea. I was a bit disappointed. It could have been much more delicious with some yummy ice cream filling!

Milk tea deluxe....so much going on in one cup.

The bubbletea was great until I found a giant grasshopper floating alongside the lychee jelly.

I just don't like how you have to walk over to the other store to pay with debit, but that's fine because their bbt is delicious!

The staff is always friendly and efficient, even on a busy day they still power through. There's always different crepes to try from each of the savoury and sweet menu. As for the gelatos a sample can be given for those who are unsure what rich flavours to choose from or to have a taste on what gelato is. They also serve breakfast crepes until 11am! So if you don't want to go to A&W or McDonald's for breakfast I do recommend Crepes Delicious. Today I was craving something sweet so I decided to order one of their chocolate and banana gelato milkshakes but I had it substitute to have Nutella instead and I have also ordered their limited brownie bash crepe which is marshmallows, brownies and chocolate drizzle. Talk about chocolate for days! Yes it was very sweet but my cravings were satisfied. The first bite is always the best because if you eat it right away you'll feel the warmthness of the crepe in your mouth. I strongly recommend Crepe Delicious if you want to try something new at The Core. I will definitely come back and try a different crepe combo!

I ordered their Xin Chao Morning Coffee, which was said to be stronger in flavor and caffeine compared to the Xin Chao Afternoon Coffee. I also ordered their fried pork spring rolls. Both the drink and the food were served in a timely manner and were worth the price! The staff were really kind as well. The café itself is not super spacious, but there is seating both upstairs and downstairs. The seating upstairs was more spread out compared to the seating downstairs, so it was naturally louder downstairs. There is free Wi-Fi as well as a self-serve station to get free water. While the chairs upstairs are comfortable to sit on, I found it difficult to do work (i.e. using my computer on the table) as the chairs themselves are leaned too far back and are unadjustable. I would recommend driving here versus public transport, as it was quite a walk from Rundle station (should you take the train). Overall a great café with good drinks and food, perfect for having a good conversation in! But I probably would not come here to study or do work, in my opinion.

I was also pleasantly surprised to find a Vietnamese coffee shop out here in Calgary. We ordered two drinks to go - iced morning coffee and coconut coffee. The difference between the morning and afternoon coffee is the coffee roast that is used to make the drink. It is an iced Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. I have not seen this option of stronger coffee in Vancouver, but I think it is great that they have the option. I took a sip and it tasted exactly what I expected with a bold coffee kick and sweet condensed milk. I also enjoyed the coconut coffee. It was sweet and slushy with a good coconut flavour. This was way better than the Timmy's ice cap I had a few days earlier. Service was fast. We did not get to enjoy the ambiance as we had a list of activities we were trying to do for the day. Definitely, this place is worth a revisit when we are back in town again.
