I got the Dalgona shaved ice which was topped with a scoop of ice cream and a honeycomb sugar cookie. The cookie itself is a little overpowering by itself, but if you break chunks of it off to eat with the shaved ice it's absolutely perfect. The shaved ice was really smooth. It was the perfect size and pretty light, so I still had plenty of room for dinner later. There's additional seating on the second story, and very cute and aesthetic. My mom tried the seasonal corn latte and she really enjoyed it. Might sound a bit strange, but the corn flavor is pretty subtle but the latte was very creamy. Really glad we stumbled upon this cute dessert shop! The staff were really friendly and provided some recommendations.

So I would say the crowd can be hit or miss, but expect a long wait during peak times (Fri/Sat evening). Tried like 10 different items. I think my favorite was the jumbo mochi. It had fruit, ice cream, wrapped in mochi. It was the most well-rounded. I would skip on the mochi with peanuts, egg tart mochi, and Thai tea with tiger pearl (giant grass jelly balls). Many on the items are similar, with slight variations and it's hard to tell the different between them. The dessert with lemon and chia seeds was ok. I liked that it was on the lighter side, but the lemon flavor was too strong for me. The options with ice cream in them were the best. They make each item to order, so it can be a little slow but it's understandable. Order on the kiosk and wait to be called to pick up your order. You can order some of the items from the noodle side and I believe you can go sit inside that area as well. Tables only seem to be put out in the hallway during peak times, after the other businesses are closed. Parking is difficult. We were able to get lucky with free parking about a block away. There is a pay parking lot next to it, but it's a little expensive imo and it's very small/tight.

I then bookmarked this place. Not until recently (after over 2 years), I finally got a chance to try their shaved ice. Vancouver had shaved ice long before Calgary. It was a hit over there. Also there are way more shaved ice places in metro Vancouver. I came here with my sister just shortly after our dinner (we ate at a place just few blocks down) for some shaved ice desserts. I was very full from dinner but decided to share something with her. We ended up settling for the creamy mango shaved ice (also known as bingsoo in Korean). I had better shaved ice in Vancouver. The good thing is that Jus Fruit shaved is not really shaved from a block of ice. It was really shaved frozen condense milk ice. So it is not exactly ice. There wasn't a lot of mango in their shaved ice cream. The mango are only placed on top of the dessert along with a few tiny pieces of cheese cakes (size of pinky but shorter). As well the portion is somewhat small for what they are charging compared to Vancouver. Their shaved ice was very flavorful and it wasn't bad. Just wished there were more mango slices. Again, not a lot of places offers shaved ice in Calgary. I guess if I wanted shave ice, I would have to come to Jus Fruit.

On one occasion, despite ordering a decaf Americano, I was served a latte instead and was told that decaf Americano was not available at this café. I have allergies to both milk and caffeine. The drink was only replaced after I clearly explained my allergies to the staff member who was serving me. I was even charged an additional fee for making the drink iced that day. What I found hard to understand was that the same staff member asked me to leave a Google review at the time -- which is why I am writing this review today. This is a menu item I order regularly, which made the situation even more confusing. Overall, the repeated seating choices and lack of attentiveness made me feel uncomfortable and singled out as a customer. I hope the staff can be more considerate and consistent in their service going forward.
