Malka is and forever will be a 5 star from me My favorites- brocollini with horseradish aioli (amazing!) Tahini and foccacia Chicken Schnitzel- you MUST get this- the sides and sauces are also incredible. Enough for 2-3 people Grandma's short rib- arguably the best red meat I've had in NYC Menu changes regularly based on seasonal availability- what is freshest

Focaccia bread, tahini, hummus - a triple score of tastes!

Great food. Mary was a wonderful server: able to make recommendations, etc. Food was outstanding - served fresh and creative servings. Love the family style serving. We got extra silverware to use it as serving pieces. Was at Malka in West Palm Beach this past January - u can highly recommend this location!!

Kosher food has come a long way baby... What this hotspot lacks in decor it compensates in food. The Israeli fare is fire. Ate: Bread bag String beans in a bag Eggplant stained with soy Fish schwarma Total $69 The challah bread with spicy tahini & green olives whets your palate for Middle Eastern flavors. The eggplant was sooo delicious. The green beans were Al dente and the fish schwarma was a hodgepodge of flavors so beautifully interwoven with a tomato finish at bottom reminiscent of Spanish foods.. Stuffed in the best way.

Been wanting to try this place for awhile and finally went recently. We sat outside on the terrace which was a nice quiet vibe and what we were looking for but I would definitely go back and sit in the main dining area another night. We got the artichokes, focaccia, bruschetta, roasted broccolini tree, potato carpet, roasted branzino and of course the schnitzel. Everything was delicious! The focaccia doesn't look like much in photos so I almost didn't get it but i'm so glad I did because it was delicious! The potato carpet was my favorite thing of the night. It had a beet horseradish, horseradish aioli, schug, and coarse mustard seed and the flavors melded together so well. The waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable and the service was great!

Great and interesting food. Not the regular. Order the melon dish really awesome. Andrew helped us and is really a cool guy

Snagged a reservation during hanukah which was honestly amazing. The service was good and while I really wasn't a huge fan of the menu the wife loved every minute of it. I found the dishes to be imaginative, albeit extremely expensive. All the flavors were fantastic and had a decent amount of seasoning. The dj kept the music going and the crowd happy. People were dancing at the end of the night they came around with shots of Eyat and we all toasted. Would recommend to my Israeli friends and those who enjoy kosher Israeli food.

Dinner at Malka was a fantastic experience. We had planned for a wonderful family evening and turned into an incredible experience. Chef David, Staff at the Bar and management made our evening one for our memories! The Hummus with Lamb ragu is a must and the Hriame fish and Fish Shawarma are delicious. Closed out with the Cowboy Chop - perfectly cooked. Mix in a few Arak shots and close out with the Tahini Espresso Martini and you have a night to remember. Thanks again to the team at Malka!

I'm 60 & this is the most expensive bottle I've ever ordered@99 dollars. Delicious, luckily I can find it for under 30$ locally

We had high expectations for Malka, and in the end, the evening did not really meet my expectations. Almost all of the tables were grouped to hold big groups, we were first sat upstairs by the service & stair/bathroom area but luckily there was one other 2 top at the front of this balcony over looking the entrance & it was a fabulous seat. I may not have even stayed if seated at the first table. On a rainy Tuesday evening at the end of 2/24, the space was filled by 5:30pm..and bustling. The staff is young ! and busy. While everyone was polite, and our particular server spent time with our wine choice & general questions, we did not feel any attachment or love for the ambiance. Eager to have an Israeli wine, we were disappointed to see the 2 bottles that I would consider affordable on the small wine list were a Savion Blanc from New Marlborough & a 375ml red from Spain, were both 55$. We went with the 2021 Jezreel Valley red for 99$ although if you look on the website even today it is listed at 79$. The wine was fabulous, and I am thrilled that I can find it for under 30$ at home. (you can see the wine list from 2/27/24 in the photo's and see that now, a week later it is a totally different on line) The menu is unusual as you may have read. A very Israeli Hummus is offered, but it was explained to us that because this was a bit more upscale than street food, it did not come with pita to dip, but there were 2 choices on our evening : Golden Focaccia or A Bread Bag which was challah. We passed on the bread and thankfully decided on the delicious Nostalgia of an Old City Mezze that included raw red onion, assorted veggies, a falafel "burger" (so much for avoiding street food). The most fabulous Malka schnitzel filled with mashed potato marrow could have been a chicken cutlet done at any decent restaurant, not what I would expect to pay 41$ for in my wildest dreams. 18$ would be fair (you can see in my photo that the tiny dollop of sides can vary, there was nothing red or beet like on our board and the slaw/cubed items were tiny in comparison to earlier photos. The Green Garlic Pasta was a wide delicious ribbon that appeared undressed but had a delightful & delicate flavor, ok to hare as a small side. We passed on dessert. Slipped out barely noticed in the commotion of the evening. While I am very happy to have finally dined at Malka, a mere handful of blocks from work, I would not return unless I was perhaps someone's guest.

Great restaurant to taste lots of different dishes as there is an emphasis on shared plates dining. Everything was super delicious. The deserts are a must especially the pistachio cake which tastes like it just came out of home baked oven. Can't wait to visit again. Service was very attentive and our waiter offered a great amount of info on what to order based on what we like. The atmosphere was very chilled and relaxing.

Malka is a great new kosher restaurant on the upper west side! It's the first kosher restaurant I've been to that also has a great dj and nightlife aspect! The waiters were so friendly and made sure to check on us often and explain any dishes we had questions on. The food was delicious and there was great variety on the menu! We ordered the white and green everything salad, broccolini, hummus with lamb, rib eye steak, and the chraime. Highly recommend this spot for a fun night out. They also have bar seating.

The staff have always been friendly and extremely knowledgeable; it is really handy when you can say you live in San Francisco, what do you have that I can only get out here? You can tell it is a good place in Hell's Kitchen/Times Square when stage hands and actors actually come by after (definitely not between) their shows. They also have whiskeys available here as a sidecar; definitely do not try and order any other liquors, the back of their staff shirt makes that clear. For food, I've only ever had the cheese curds because I obviously have a problem and can't get them at many places in SF. The portions are large and the prices reasonable. My only feedback to them is maybe offer some large format bottle pours on busy nights so people can try some of the more obscure options.

Got a nice dose of dive bar and it was exactly what I was looking for. The place is small, it is loud, there is a good selection of beers on tap and some more on bottles/cans from the fridge. Bartenders are just the right amount of "if you're not a regular you're fine but you're not special" and chatty friendly. What you'd expect from a hole in the wall with decently cheap beer (compared to just a block or two over).

Check-in was quick and easy, and even though it was a full house for a Saturday night, we were still able to find seats without an issue. The space was definitely lively and a bit crowded, but there was still enough room to move around comfortably. Our bartender was really sweet and made great drinks , the cranberry vodka and Long Island were both spot on. We didn't pay extra for the additional glasses to smash, but the six cups included were enough to make the experience fun and satisfying for a casual night. I can see why people would want to buy a full bucket though as it definitely adds to the excitement. The crowd was respectful, and the bathrooms were decently clean, which is always a plus. Overall, a great spot for an stress-relieving, spontaneous night out!

I wish we had the option for a booth especially since my friend is really short but we got a high top. Server was very attentive and transparent. Our original server was on break so we had another server take our drinks, appetizers and entree orders. She brought the drink and appetizer and our main server brought out entrees. I felt they were both great servers and very friendly. We also got dessert, everything was delicious. Food was also reasonably priced. We also were able to use a coupon code for the appetizer which was great. This location is very nice and clean. My only suggestion is to have someone check the downstairs bathroom a bit more. I used both bathrooms and the upstairs one was way cleaner. Otherwise, great experience and staff. I def recommend and will be back

The whole restrauant was booked. I totally understand that as a business it makes more sense to take the larger group. However no reason for you management staff to be completely rude about especially on such short notice. I called to find out a solution as the message said we could show up a half hour later than our original reservations and was transfered to a manager. Who ever the manager was on 5/17/26 at about 8 pm said ya they got the place from 2 pm good luck . I tried to ask if we could show up a halfhour later than planed as the voicemail indicated but he blew it off and was being very rude about the whole situation so if figured I do not want to give this company anymore money moving forward so I found another restrauant. Shame is now I wont visit the one in Texas where I live either.
