WOULD NOT recommend using this dealership. My husband and I have had an awful experience here. Our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Diesel was taken to them for repair, via our warranty company due to a CP4 failure, resulting in us needing a full fuel system replacement. Our truck was previously supposed to be taken care of by another mobile repair company, that ended up not completing the job, leaving the fuel system partially taken apart. The dealership took on the case, knowing this, in agreeance with our warranty company that they would be paid for the repairs. One of the biggest problems is the complete LACK of communication from this dealership. We knew it might take some time to complete, as they stated that they only have one diesel mechanic at this location. The problem is that hardly any communication happened between the time the truck was in their possession, to the time we picked it up, that didn't have to be initiated by US! As the consumer, it's the DEALERSHIP's responsibility to reach out to us to resolve problems, give updates, etc. Not ours. The dealership & the warranty company came to the final price decision on the initial reason it was brought to them. We were told what we would need to pay. The work began. Months later, after many calls and inquiries BY US... the warranty company let us know they paid the dealership. & then TEN DAYS LATER, the dealership finally calls us to let us know the truck is ready for us to pickup. At a MUCH higher price than agreed upon might I add - a $4,000 difference that the dealership ended up removing as that price was not what we were told. We come to pick up the truck, and upon arrival, we notice the front bumper of the truck (which is made of steel), is damaged. It was not like that the day it arrived at the dealership, because we have pictures with timestamps/dates that show how the truck arrived. We spoke with Don & Mike Jones about this, the men who have been handling this case along the way. They agree that the truck was damaged in their possession and that they would take care of it. We were advised to get an estimate for the repairs to submit to them (because we live in South Carolina & they are in Georgia). We get the estimate from a shop here in SC on 2/2/25. We submit the estimate via email on 2/3/25, as well as us TEXTING Mike to make sure he knows we submitted the estimate via email. Since then, it has been radio silence. We have tried calling to get updates, and plan the next steps for them to repair the truck as THEY are the ones who damaged it. And have heard NOTHING. If you want things done in a timely matter, DO NOT GO HERE. If you want honest, straightforward customer service, DO NOT GO HERE. It is unacceptable as a consumer who has paid you THOUSANDS of dollars in repairs, only to now be given the run around due to the poor and careless treatment of our vehicle. While our salesperson was extremely friendly, I wouldn't recommend this dealership. They will definitely get you IN a vehicle. Although I was excited to get my 2018 GMC Yukon, less than a MONTH later it starts giving me trouble while ON THE INTERSTATE. Took it to my local dealership to find out spark plugs and wires were bad. Why am I facing an additional $700 charge for a $30,000+ vehicle that I JUST purchased off the lot not even a MONTH ago?!?!?!? This includes a $1700 used car fee that is added to the price of the car that is supposed to cover servicing the vehicle before selling it- who sells a used car without replacing plugs and wires anyway (except a buy here pay here establishment)?!?!? When called, their response to my dilemma is that it didn't need it when they had it. So they take vehicles and resale them without doing a basic tune up? We were thinking of being return customers based on the friendliness and eagerness of our salesman, but after this we've decided to not return at all. My husband's truck had an issue with the DEF fluid on our drive up from south Florida. Mike took care of us and was able to give us a loaner car while we waited for the truck to get fixed. This was much appreciated since we were traveling with our 6 month old. He was transparent with the solution to the problem and gave us great advice on how to move forward with the issue the truck was having. Can't recommend them enough! read more

The buying experience wasn't bad at all. That went really well. But the service department experience has easily been the worst I have ever seen. This is really disappointing as I spent additional money when purchasing the car buying a service plan with the dealership. The service department here held my brand new 2023 Tahoe hostage for two months while they resolved a known drain line issue. I called them weekly while they had my car. They kept telling me they would call with updates and that my car would be ready next week or tomorrow. This kept going on for about two months until I started contacting corporate Chevy's customer relations department and Malcom Cunningham's staff complaining. I was finally able to pick up my vehicle. They never offered so much as a loaner vehicle to use while they had my car or any form of compensation. I'm just out $2,400 in car payments without being able to use my car. read more

They are the most immoral, unethical and dishonest car dealer I have encountered in my 50 years. I don't know about other Chevy dealers, but at this one the price you see online (the MSRP plus the additional fees paid to dealer [title fee, destination charges, etc]) for your Net Price with Dealer Fees is nowhere near what they try to dupe you into paying once they get you in the dealership. EVERYTHING that is listed on the paperwork you are about to sign to purchase a new vehicle should be reflected on their website and is DEFINITELY NOT! Drove nearly 2 hours one way since they had the make, model, color and options I wanted when closer dealers did not, only to have the purchase paperwork I was finally about to sign have over $6,000 of additional charges on it over and above what's listed on their website! Had to have a work truck towed here due to an employee placing DEF in diesel tank back in September 2022. Insurance was responsible for covering the cost of repairs, however; this dealership initially wanted more than what insurance was willing to pay. The only good thing is that they agreed to do the work for what insurance would cover. It took them months to even start working on the truck. Once they "started" the repairs it took them 3 weeks. It was finally ready for pick up in April 2023, (all my mechanic readers- bs I know right). September to April is not acceptable! At the beginning, I explained that an employee damaged the truck and asked them to make sure the truck was in working order. I explained that I have not seen the truck nor the damage that the employee did to the truck. This dealership knew we were not local and this took advantage. I unfortunately trusted this mechanic shop to let me know what all was done to the truck so I could have it repaired. They only told me about the def in the diesel tank being a very expensive repair (over $19,500.00). When I get word it's ready for pick up (I was out of town) and tell them it will be the following week before I'm able to make the three hour drive to their shop. Keep in mind this was a work truck that was traveling the south east, so when the accident happened it was not local to me. They continued to call me, even though they had been avoiding most of my calls to check on the repair status, to ask when I was going to pick it up. Finally, I go to pick the truck up, I noticed the front bumper is damaged, the windshield is cracked and the check engine soon light comes on while driving back. The inside of the truck smelled like a musty bar, disgustingly dirty and had random junk all inside. Never once during our many conversations did they tell me the vehicle was in this bad of shape. I noticed on my print out that they replaced the batteries and did a few other things that were not included in the should be repairs. However, they never once told me in all the months they had it the extent of all the damaged done by the employee, so that I could have it repaired. I don't trust that this shop even corrected the fuel tank issue's correctly. I get the feeling they cut corners and just did bare minimum. They should be ashamed of that kind of deplorable customer service! Do yourself a favor and go buy a vehicle some where else and most definitely don't bring it here to have repairs!!! We needed some work done on our Chevy Cruze. Set an appointment for a Thursday. Dropped off the car on Wednesday night. Asked the boss if could work from home on Thursday, he was not happy but gave the ok. Thursday afternoon the car had not been looked at and they said they needed another. Explained this to the boss who reluctantly agreed to work from home on Friday. Friday afternoon get a call that they did not get to look at the car and would do it on Monday. Told them no, would find someone reliable. read more

As of today, August 10th, our issues with Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet have been resolved. We have received the refund that was agreed to, we have received the second key for the truck, and the tire has also been fixed. Darren called me after speaking with my husband also to address my concerns and to make sure he could better my experience with them. It appears that our review has brought to light some of the issues that Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet has to management and I hope they correct these so they can provide better service and experiences to their future customers. read more

Sadly this is a bait and switch operation. Price listed for new Corvette was MSRP $79,725.00. While many of these are selling for more then MSRP, some reputable dealers don't add additional mark up. When calling to see about buying the car, sales rep said price is $20,000.00 more, he even said a lot of dealers only mark up $10,000.00 but they are in a densely populated area so they mark up $20,000.00. If I could give negative stars I would. I brought my car in on 3/24/23 due to an engine light indicator that came on and because I've trusted MCC with my car since I purchased it used in 2020 I was confident I was in good hands. Well to my disappointment, the service I received has literally depleted my confidence in their ability to offer quality service to customers who choose patronize. On 3/24/22, I had at 8:20a appointment. I hadn't heard from them by 12:30 so I called to get an update and hopefully a diagnosis for my vehicle. The service technician(ST) who took my car was lunch and I was assured that he would call me back with he returned. At 2:30p I received another call telling me that the technician would be calling me back with details about my car shortly. At 3p the ST called me back stating the my car needed a "DC/DC converter" and that it would cost me $615.00. I asked did he run a full diagnostic and if there was anything else that needed me attention. He assured me that this would remedy the situation. Specifically, I asked about the battery. He said the battery was fine. I asked him to proceed with the service because I had to turn in my rental by tomorrow morning and I would like to pick up my car today. By 5p my car was ready. I paid and left at around 5:45p. Over the next 2 days, I drove me car an average of 3 hours. On Friday night to a local bar, on Saturday to Target and Sunday to exit 114 to meet someone. On my way back home Sunday, 3/25 before making it to exit 65 my engine light begins to flash and my car begins to "jerk". Immediately I pull over and look in my car's manual. It pretty much said I had to park because my car could experience "irreversible damage" if I continued. I contacted my insurance company and unfortunately had to wait 4.5 hours on the side of I-20 during a horrible thunderstorm for a tow truck to pick me and my car up. I had the car towed to MCC and yes I was pissed. Monday, 3/27 after dropping my kids off at school off in a borrowed car, I went to the dealership to give them keys to fix my car. Because obviously that didn't happen 2 days and $600 ago. Well I get a call from the ST telling me "I need to purchase a battery before they could tell me what's wrong because the diagnostic machine can't read a car with a dead battery." I'm confused and pissed because literally just asked you about the battery on Friday. Per my request the service manager(SM) was placed on the call and after he rushed me through my explanation he essentially called me a "nag" using a comparison to his wife and 3 daughters he agreed to pay for the battery. Then I got a call at 5:50p from the ST telling me I needed additional $1100 worth of parts and service for my car. On Tuesday, 3/28/2023 I went down the service department at MCC, to meet with the SM who took the cost down from the initial $1100 and thanked me for "being reasonable." Realistically, I was just tired and couldn't understand why this was even a conversation to be had. Your team's screw up but now it's my financial obligation. I went to pick my car up on Saturday, 4/1 and paid them the agreed upon rate. I looked at my key fob and it was broken. I took my complaint to the front desk where I request to have the GM contact me today (4/3). I haven't hear from him yet. The ST, tells me it's my key fob and used to it crank and back my car up to the bay's door. I go to my car, aggravated, and THE CAR DOES NOT CRANK! I try it again and THE CAR DOES NOT CRANK. I lose my cool because obviously I'm pissed. I cussed everyone out in sight. 1. My car has been here for over a week 2. I've paid over $1500 in the past week for their screw up. 3. My key fob is broken. 4. My secondary vehicle is more than 2 hours away and I'm inconvenienced an additional 9 hours after being on the side of the interstate for 4.5 hours 5. I've been late to work 3 days in the past week. I go into the service department today to get something I need from my car and ST tells me my car was out of gas. I literally pull off cause sir that's BS. They called me later to tell me they put a full tank of gas in it. JW. read more

Went in and was told neither vehicle was there. Sold days before. Vehicles are still posted as in stock on their website. Either it is false and misleading advertising or their sales staff are complete liars. Don't waste your time. Lots of other dealerships around. Contacted Monday by the dealership with the same apology as others. Actions speak louder than words and it is blatantly obvious they don't care. Efficient and comprehensive service We were able to quickly get our 2012 equinox in to catch up on all its needed servicing. While at the same time it was kept for almost a week as some recall work was done; we were allowed as a courtesy to drive a loaner vehicle during that time frame. I was 9 minutes late, I won't lie that was me (mainly because it was my first time going and wasn't aware where exactly it was, especially the services and parts area). The waiting area only had 3 or 4 other customers. I was there for about an hour, not bad at all. They were a clean facility and friendly. Had m steering column replaced and the did not adjust the rack properly; which caused more issues that they couldn't disagnose. Nothing was wrong with the motor to adjust my steering wheel tilt, now there's this awful noise that wasn't there before the repair. Very frustrating. They kept my vehicle for a week and didn't do anything to it. They don't communicate at all. Explained the issues; they checked something else. Will never take my vehicle there again. Just let me say one of worst buying experiences. Salesman was Brian Cosgrove. I negotiated a deal via text and phone calls. Sales manager and Brian on the phone. Hes says bring X amount and your out the door. I told them I would be up the next day to pick up. Brian messaged me around noon the next day to confirm 430pm appointment. He said they are prepping it and it will be ready to go. This is for a Chevy Bolt. I arrive promptly at 430 car is still on the showroom floor no prep, stickers all over it and only 17 miles worth of charge I live 65 miles away. He gives me several excuses eventually gets it off the show room floor we do a quick test drive then inside finalize. I hand Brian 2 pieces of paper that give me discounts through Costco and GM. Comes back 15 mins later says he didn't get GM paper. I said you only walked 30 ft how could you lose it. Eventually they find it and after 30 mins Brian comes back with the price. 800.00 more than we agreed to. Im not happy. he returns with sales manager 15 minutes later still 80.00 higher than we agreed now its a principle thing. eventually comes back with the agreed on price and we wait. mean while we are assured the vehicle is being prepped and charged. its now 3 hours and Im short on patience. We go back with the finance guy. who by the way is super personable and gets us in a better mood. He asks us what color car we get we say red. Hes embarrassed sales guy wrote up wrong vehicle. He has to redo all the paper work. But he has a good sense of humor and like I said very personable. We get done finally 3 1/2 hours later go out to the car. Its only 1/2 charged greasy fingerprints all over where they pulled of the decals. Floor mats stuck in a bag in the back along with a ton of leaves from a tree. Unfortunately I hit something in the road and my tire blew out. I'd just purchased the tires less than two months ago. When it rains it pours! Took my car back to the dealership to see if I had road hazard warranty on the tires. I was told the dealership doesn't offer this. Spoke with Mike Jones the new service manager and he gave me a discount on the tire. I received great customer service from him. Just a couple of months of ago their customer service was terrible from the service employees to the service manger. They still have a couple of rude service employees left. The dealership has a new owner so they seem to be headed in the right direction. I probably won't be back just because it's so pricy unless I have a major issue with my car. read more

Our vehicle has been in for service for more than three weeks. A part was on back order but arrived on 3/22/2022. Once the part was received it was stated that it should be ready by Monday 3/28/2022. On Monday the vehicle was unable to be completed due to short staffing. We have tried multiple times to call to speak to a service advisor or anyone in the service department to get an update. Every time we call it gets disconnected while on hold or we are informed by the staff answering the phones that the service department is "really busy". Prior to part being order I had to physically show up to the service department to get an update on our vehicle status. It is completely unprofessional that we are unable to get through to get information or a status up date about our vehicle or to even have someone return the many phones calls we have made. The complete lack of any communication reflects poorly upon the company as a whole. In the future, outside of services that are prepaid such a the oil change maintenances we have left, we shall not be returning to this dealership for service or for any future purchases. We will also not provide any recommendation for Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet of Augusta. We have been understanding of the short staff issues as well as the back order status for the part that was needed. It is not unrealistic to expect a small degree of professional service. read more

I am taking back the review until further notice...this is nuts. 1 week into buying a brand new 2020 Silverado the thermostat goes out, they have the truck from Friday until Monday. 1 week and 1 day later the main control for the computer thats runs everything in truck goes out. Yesterday they have had this NEW truck for 3 weeks in the shop...part still not in. This is the WORST new vehicle buying experience we have ever had. We have never bought a truck, had it 5-6 weeks and drove it a total of 2 weeks!!! We have our first truck payment coming up PLUS paying insurance on it and we have NOT even drove the truck or enjoyed it! Then GM gets involved...extending the warranty an extra 2 years. Thats BULL...they should have offered us a NEW replacement truck there is NO way this should be happening with a BRAND NEW TRUCK. And here is the kicker, my husband has tried to get ahold of the main guy who runs it, or owns it or whatever, and everytime he is told "he is in a meeting"...this guy has not even ATTEMPTED to call my husband and APOLOGIZE for this nightmare that is happening AT HIS DEALERSHIP. is it the dealerships fault the truck is basically a lemon no, its GM's, however is it the dealerships responsibility to have resolved this issue...YES. My daughter purchased a 2013 chevy cruze from here last week and 2 cracks in the windsheild and a dent in the rear left fender but that's not why my rating is a 2 star. The service dept is poor from where I have had a friend leave her car there for almost a week and could not find out what was wrong with it and wanted to some major repairs just by guessing what the problem may be. As for my daughters car they did promise to fix the windshield but not the dent in rear fender claiming it is sold as is. Reputable dealers would try to work with a customer on things like that. I pulled out the dent in less that 8 minute with a device I purchased from AutoZone.This dealership will not last long in the Augusta area just because of service alone in that department.. read more

My 05 Silverado was brought there for a running real rough and gas smell in the cab. They had it almost a week before they worked on it. When we finally got It back and my wife drove it off the lot it did the exact same thing. She immediately took it back and they kept it over night and supposedly fixed the problem. She picked it up Christmas morning to go out of town and it started doing the exact same thing. Now we have to figure out how to get the truck back to the dealer and my wife out of town. We also now have to figure out how to get additional money for more repairs they supposedly fixed and said it was fine to drive. When we looked under the hood we found a cup sitting in the engine compartment. Seems like the mechanics rush and do a poor job at diagnosing the problems. After we get it fixed there we will stick to Milton Rueben Chevrolet from now on. read more

When you pay to have your car repaired you don't pick it up and it's still doing the same thing? NO, I returned within 5 minutes and she advises me that they DO NOT do diagnostics on vehicles that just look for what the customer state is the issue. What professional business goes on customers assumptions and I just paid you over $600.00 for this repair?? I proceeded to say so if I come here saying my radio stop working, you're going to replace it when it could only be a fuse? She goes well if we diagnose each car, do you know how many repairs you may need, well isn't this why I came to y'all? May I speak to the manager she then says he off today, I didn't believe that no manager was on duty? I drove off went around front waited a minute, called in asked for the same manager that was off, he comes out, car gets rechecked, then came back saying the "top" technician checked it, it's in the transmission, I asked for the printout "oh he didn't print one, he plugged his machine in as he drove and watched the screen". Need I say more..I have learned there's a reason why one dealership is busier than the other. read more

Never buy a car from Malcolm Cunningham Chevrolet on Gordon Highway!! I purchased a 2016 Kia Forte on December 14th. I have been to the shop five times and three of those times they had to keep my vehicle to "service" it. The test drive was excellent. Didn't notice any issues with my vehicle. However, the next day my car failed to start automatically. I had to crank it multiple times to get the engine to turnover. When I presented them with the issue, they replaced the battery but assured me the car is fixed. The very next day I went back for the same issue that I recorded for reference. They ended up keeping my car for two weeks. I was provided a loaner car which was a plus. However I had to put air in the rear tires three different times. Anyways, I called after two weeks to check the status of my vehicle. I had to leave a message. Wasn't called back until the next day when he said my car was ready. Fast forward, after a day of driving my brakes and steering column starting making a horrible & embarrassing noise. I haven't had this issue for the two weeks I didn't have the car, wtf is going on now. I definitely recorded this as evidence . Also, when I first called the manager about my vehicle and told him what it was he paused and said "Ohhhh" like he already knew what was up. These people are dishonest and so undermining .
