I spent all summer cutting grass and weed eating and did without to raise money for a truck. 19. 500 for a 14 Laramie. The next day I had the truck the check eng light came on. AC valve. They did replace this. It has an exhaust leak that I keep getting the run-around about. Week later I had to replace the brakes and rotors. Two weeks ago I got pulled over for having ( unaware) blue fog lights!!! 220 dollars ticket! They sold me this !!!! Guess what I'm doing on this Sunday morning? Replacing a ducking cracked radiator!!!! You cannot make this shit up! Don't go to Omar's!!!! If you're foolish enough to be brave, bring an excellent mechanic with you!!! Last time before last they told me that I had a bulb out (no bulb out) and this time they told me I needed 2 tires on the rear upon inspecting them they were fine. They also asked me if I wanted the engine tune up package. They seemed more involved in telling me about this that they neglected to tell me that it should have a new engine air filter which I would have had done. The air filter was on the final paper work but by that point I was ready to get out of there. Please don't change for the worse by trying to get me to pay for things that are not needed. This is something that should have been caught the first time, especially after such a major repair. Instead of taking accountability or even properly checking their work, this dealership brushed me off and sent me away. The lack of attention to detail and customer care is unacceptable. Carmax has been too busy, appointments are 2-3 months out for a repair through the warranty. The only repair shop that accepted Assurant was 1 1/2 hours away from me. I had to file a formal complaint against the repair shop with Assurant the mechanic did such a horrible job with a simple repair. I have had to use outside mechanics to fix the repairs. However, Assurant finds every loop hole possible to deny a claim. I don't believe Carmax did their 125 point inspection on the van I bought. Had they done the inspection, the short in my van would have been discovered. Instead, I have had five breakdowns requiring immediate towing. Carmax service department has not even returned the last few calls I made trying to get an appointment for repair under the warranty. I find the majority of mechanics do not wish to deal with Assurant Warranty as it is too time consuming and the representatives have been rude and not well trained and are quick to deny coverage. I bought a car in Los Angeles from Carmax and had a great experience. However, this Carmax in Augusta, GA, does not even come close to the same standards.
