Update: Kudos to the service department. Within the last 2 weeks I have had services done & it was an easy process. I went in for routine maintenance and was able to receive a loaner and have my car serviced with no hassle. Today I called to see can I come in for a last minute service and they gladly accommodated me without hesitation. Literally was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Stellar service. The sales team here works together as a smooth unit. The hospitality is very welcoming and accommodating. The moment you arrive you are immediately assisted with service. I cannot say nothing but good things about Mr. D. Wilson. He's very detailed oriented and made the whole purchase less stressful. The general manager Mr. J. Guillory is remarkable. His dedication to the clientele's wishes are unmatched. He honestly made whatever issues I had right. The prices for Lexus are the best in a 250 miles radius. It was an expensive service order; however, I want to give a special shout-out to the service advisor and the department service manager for doing cost analysis research that saved me money during the 2025 holiday season. usual issues with car dealerships. Always have to be on guard that they don't take advantage of you. Don't think that their 100 or so point inspection fixes anything, or they did it. Bought a 10 year old Lexus and it needed thousands of dollars in work. Someone traded the car in so they didnt have to do the repairs themselves. The dealership passed it on also. read more

This is exactly why people don't trust car salesmen. As a licensed realtor, I am especially frustrated as it's unlicensed non-fiduciaries like this who give sales people such a bad reputation. Flew in from New Mexico to pick up a 2017 Volvo v90 Cross Country recently traded in. There were only a few photos of the car in the ad. 2 days before flying out, I requested a video call with the car and we agreed on a time. It was never received. Called again and asked. My salesperson, John Nash, agreed to shoot a video walk around, instead. However, I didn't receive that either. I had already booked the flight and couldn't wait. When I arrived, John, gave me the key (supposed to be 2) and it looked like it had been fished out of an alligator's mouth. He asked if I'd seen the car when I was introduced to him. "Only briefly on my way in," I responded, "and it looks a lot better than this key!" We took it for a test drive shortly after. There were bits of food particles in every little crevice and a piece of rolled cheese the size of a pea stuck to the climate screen facing the back seat. The wheel was covered in french fry grease. They made no effort to clean it. It had only 15,000 miles but the leather on the seats and steering wheel was badly worn out. None of the photos depicted the awful condition of the leather. Looking up, during the very quick test drive they allotted me, I noticed that the roof rack had been removed. He tried to convince me there was to be no rack included. My mind was stuck on the rack so I didn't notice the other major flaws I discovered later. Once we went inside, I insisted he look through the very few photos posted and there was, indeed, was a roof rack in the photos. Apparently the previous owner came back for it and attempted to install it on his new Lexus but it was designed for the Volvo. The rack was with one of the service dept but guess what, no key! So now I had TWO missing keys. Later, walking around the car, I began to see the absolutely terrible condition the paint was in. There were DEEP scratches throughout, passed the base coat. Even the Volvo emblem was destroyed. None of this had been disclosed to me prior to and the condition of both the leather AND paint appeared to be intentionally obscured by the person who took and uploaded the photos. I showed these flaws to John who assured me that he WOULD take care of these paint problems once I got home and would also agree to reimburse for a professional detailing to the inside. The financial dept had neglected to tell me before flying out and sitting with them in person I couldn't use my debit card on such a large transaction and needed to wire the money. Great ... Luckily, my wife is a co-signer on my account and was able to get to the bank in the nick of time to complete the transaction, otherwise, I would have had to fly back as there are no branches on the east coast. Crisis averted, I was able to buy the car and added the most comprehensive extended warranty available (which included fixing damage to paint and rims). Finally on the road, I noticed even the leather on the dash was actually coming apart! It was rippling in several areas and completely torn off in others. I was shocked they didn't think to tell me. Again, not one photo of the condition. I wrote them a LONG to-do list of these that they needed to pay for. They gave me a fair amount of push back. 1,600 miles and three days later, I brought it in to my local Volvo dealer to order a replacement key, schedule a cleaning and service. When I showed the service manager the condition of the leather, he explained that he would need to order an entire new dashboard to replace it as it comes as a complete piece and is a $6,000 which thankfully would covered by the manufacturer's warranty, something I wouldn't have purchased the car without and I was specifically told over the phone was still in place. (Remember that.) But as far as the paint goes, damage was so extensive, It'd need it to go into their partnered body shop. And that estimate was (ahem) $8,000. The next week, I brought it back in for the detailing, and after the manager ran the vin, he gave me a call to tell me that there was NO WARRANTY. I looked through my docs and found the buyers warranty disclosure and they had checked "manufacturer's warranty STILL applies." I wrote them furious that they had lied to me and demanded they pay the $15,000 in repairs or take the car back. "I never said anything about a warranty" he said, so I scanned and highlighted the part that said it was still under that warranty. They had now committed Misrepresentation. FRAUD! John said some BS about there not being a "cool down period" on Georgia cars. I told him I don't give AF and was getting ready to file a civil AND CRIMINAL lawsuit against them. They finally decided to take back the v90 and reimbursed me for gas and flight but I paid to the hauling. Wasn't worth 2 years of court over the $1,200 ... read more

I spent some time researching new cars and decided to upgrade to a Lexus. Several people told me the buying experience there was amazing. They were not wrong. After researching several different Lexus models, I decided on the one I wanted. I reached out to the dealership and talked with John Nash. He set up an appointment for us to talk. The experience was very pleasant and professional. John did a high level review of the car I was looking to buy, explaining a lot of the features that I wanted. They had my KBB appraisal of my trade-in and they did an examination of the car. They were more than generous on the trade-in value which paid off my prior loan and left a substantial downpayment on the Lexus. John and I completed some paperwork and then the time came for signing all the purchase forms. They made the process as easy and comfortable as possible. After that, one of their car gurus spent time going over all the features in the car and how to use them. Zach was amazing -- he was patient with my questions and made sure I was comfortable before moving to the next area. Before leaving, I was invited back any day next week to have lunch with John at their restaurant. Everyone made sure I knew about all the Lexus advantages. I've never had a car buying experience like this and when I want to get a new car, I will be going back to Jim Hudson Lexus. I bought my used Honda here and I have to say, the treatment I received was pretty good. Up front, everyone was very polite and attentive and treated me with respect. The environment is tailored for the luxury-seeking clientele. There was, sadly, a catch. Two days after I purchased the vehicle, I noticed that the brakes were squeaking and smoking. I took it back to the Lexus dealership and they told me "OOPS! The brakes have about 2% life left on them! That will be $500 please!" I went in and talked to the management about this conundrum. They refused to pay for the brakes to be replaced, even though I bought it two days prior. "It's your problem now" they said. The dealership clearly knew that the brakes were faulty prior to selling me the car, yet they were too cheap to replace them. Instead, to save a buck, they risked my life as well as my family's life by allowing me to drive off of their lot in a ticking time bomb. In an attempt to avoid giving another cent to these despicable, greedy, rapacious thieves, I drove a mile down the road to Buffalo Brakes. They did the job for $100 less. read more

Had my 10,000 mile service on 2016 RX350. Got there at 8:00 am and checked in with Mickey. Went through what would be done, did a walk around, and left in 2017 RX350 loaner waiting on me. When I returned my car was serviced, detailed wash inside/out. Turned in loaner and my car was waiting. A seamless turnaround with professional personnel. This place makes the visit very pleasant! I strongly disagree with the negative reviews seen below. Having been to almost a dozen local dealerships, it appeared that the norm were salesmen who were unprepared to answer questions or be prepared for appointments. Jim Hudson was one of only two dealerships that was prepared for our visit-- both by my questions and having the car ready for us. Jim Hudson Lexus was not a place I was thinking I would buy a car-- but the service I received, the care following up on our purchase, and the attention to detail surpassed my expectations. We are satisfied with the car Brandon Pridgen picked out and sold us. We were given plenty of time to make this decision without any pressure. The process moved like clockwork and the experience was awesome. The follow-up care-- after the paperwork was signed-- has been great! Today, I had a training session on all the details of my car. Afterwards, they gave me an almost identical loaner car while they took my new purchase for after-market installations. My sister and I were home for the holidays and we needed speedy service to get our Dad's Lexus in tip top shape. Dad is a senior citizen and he had been sick so the car did not get the attention it deserved. Cameron at Jim Hudson Lexus moved heaven and earth to work with our schedule and get Dad's car humming. Cameron was knowledgeable, kind and honest about the cost of repair. He communicated clear and kindly with my older parents which was a blessing. I know my dad has visited the shop a couple of times since we left and the staff is always lovely to him. Also the facility is gorgeous...state of the art. I have never written a bad review until now. A rock from a truck hit my windshield and I called Jim Hudson Lexus asking about my warranty to see if it was covered. Although I didn't purchase my Lexus from Jim Hudson, I have been there four times since moving to Augusta in 2019: replacing a rim (covered under this same warranty and completed by Jim Hudson), changing oil twice and seeing if a chip in my door could be repaired from when someone else's car door hit mine and got blue paint on my white car. Each time they couldn't find my warranty information and PROMISED they would make sure they would find a way to save my information. I've had to bring in a copy of my warranty each time or get the original dealer to email the warranty information. I called about my windshield and didn't get a call back. I had been trying to see if they had my warranty information and told them about the crack from the rock. No one could seem to find my warranty after two more separate phone calls. I finally spoke to a manager two days in a row this week and they stated my warranty wasn't on file and asked me to try to find a copy again (although before I left from trying to see if the chipped painted was covered, a copy of my warranty was made by a gentleman so they would have it & they had already filled a claim under my warranty). Due to changing Augusta weather and the affects it has on a windshield, this small crack from a rock QUICKLY grew from barely being the size of the sun strip up top to going from my driver's side to my passenger side. The manager communicated through a service department representative (instead of personally calling) to say there was nothing they could do about the windshield now since it's longer than 6 inches. Although during all of the lack of returned phone calls or attempt to trying to find my warranty information, it was much smaller than 6 inches during my original phone call. read more

This is only 1 persons opinion. If I was anyone that plans to buy from this dealer. You can tell they all have memorized the same speech to try and get you to pay more then retail or sticker price for the cars. It was even a response on one of these reviews. There is tremendous value of a purchase at our dealership, from building relationships and personalized service, to investment in your local community. The only investment is to the amount of cash you put in there pockets, of course this is just my opinion from dealing with them. The thing that makes me the most upset about how they presented themselves was that if I chose to save thousands of dollars by buying elsewhere that the 5 Star service might not be so great in some way. Wow, could not believe how arrogant that sounded. I flat out told the sales agent I believe in the service department and it will be 5 stars no matter what state I use it in. I am just glad I went home to do my own research on pricing and disappointed with how much over retail that they thought there little speech was worth and how that they tried to make it sound like I might not get as great of service from a department that they have no control over would give me. Last year my wife and I purchased our first car together. After being totally disregarded by Audi we sought a dealership that was not only attentive but genuinely cared about taking care of us. From the moment we met Paul and Joseph they treated us like family. We were never pressured or pushed into buying anything out of our price range or get packages that we didn't need. They dropped off the car at our house for the weekend just to test out. On top of that they took the time to help us find the right financing package to suit our needs. After delivery we've had the best customer service and have been invited to multiple events at the dealership and also the unveiling of the new RX350. We can say that we've been treated with nothing but genuine kindness. Mr. Hudson has a great group of ladies and gentleman at this location and it is great to see how much he gives back to the local community through charitable donations. I truly appreciate your service dept, they do a good job but the clearning, washing of the car leaves much to be desired. They wash the car but do nothing inside, windows still dirty, no vaccum done. Looked like a hit and miss job. You give free washes but this is an area that needs to be improved upon. read more

Bought car from them brand new in 2009 have steadily watched service department decline and on 12/29/12 had an appointment at 9 a.m. for an oil change by 2:30 p.m. had not heard from them call to see said they need another hour and a half. Really on a 40k mile car, no more 6 hour oil changes for me and next purchase will be with someone who has better service. read more

Since I've done, and studied, online reviews of all kinds since the late 90's, I hesitate to give five stars to any product or service seller, as they are not as believeable, in general, to the public. However, this is one rare time that a "5 Star" rating was earned. I had no appointment the morning I showed up at the service bay. My lexus was covered in bugs from a cross country trip. I had to get some minor service issues addressed in a hurry, and get the car washed, if time allowed. Marcus W. (Service Mgr.) not only had my car serviced quickly, but Brandon, my service writer, diagnosed my "ghost seat movement backwards" of the passenger front seat when you turned around in that seat. It was my sheepskin covers that caused a seat control button on the side of the seat to be pushed in. Anyway, my car was cleaned of bugs, and even cleaned on the inside, which no other Lexus dealer has done for me. So, I was in a good, positive mood when I departed. But even if I was still tired, and "down" from a 30 day road trip, I could have just walked into Joseph's office (Sales Mgr. I asked questions of). The sign above his entrance reads "Entering The Positive Zone". This up and positive person exemplifies "The Power of Positive Thinking", and influences, positively, everyone around him. About 3 weeks ago I sent my wife on a almost 4 hour road trip to purchase a car that we had been looking for. Needless to say I was excited about having found the "perfect" car. I purchased the car from a internet manager and the experience was good at best. I had ask the salesman to please make sure that the car was in good condition for me because I was unable to get away from work to go myself. I was told the car was "like a new one". Once my wife returned home I drove the car and noticed a noise coming from the front. The next day I was told by my local shop that the car needs a strut replaced because it is broken. ( the first $200) He also noticed that there are 2 of the tires with broken belts and 2 rims that are bent. (another $500 to fix) On top of this I was suppose to recieve a call from the dealership the day after we purchased the car to be offered GAP insurance and did not. Now I can not get it. All in all dont let the fancy building and well dressed sales people fool you. They dont skimp on much other than the cars they sell. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!!! read more
