Go here all the time for service and it seems they have changed to be like Bob Richards/Miracle Toyota where they try to get money out of you for nothing. The reason I go here is because they didn't used to be like that. Last time before last they told me that I had a bulb out (no bulb out) and this time they told me I needed 2 tires on the rear upon inspecting them they were fine. They also asked me if I wanted the engine tune up package. They seemed more involved in telling me about this that they neglected to tell me that it should have a new engine air filter which I would have had done. The air filter was on the final paper work but by that point I was ready to get out of there. Please don't change for the worse by trying to get me to pay for things that are not needed. I live outside Washington DC and drove 9 hours to purchase the car back in 2020 since my family has been giving Milton Ruben business for many years. Very friendly staff and finance manager that convinced me to buy the extended warranty & service knowing that I live in Maryland. They assured me there would be no problems getting the regular maintenance covered. 1. Immediately after driving off the lot we noticed that the interior side of the back door was badly damaged, which we got pushback to get fixed. Eventually after speaking at length to Ronnie they agreed to fix which resulted in yet another 9 hour drive to Georgia. 2. The service plan they pushed me to purchase is apparently not required to be honored in Maryland since it's an outside company not directly managed by Toyota. After many lengthy arguments the Maryland dealership agreed to honor it but would charge me the "remainder." We finally spoke with the CFO of Milton Reuben (Karla Faegin) who was very nice said that she would honor what the Maryland dealership would not pay for that is covered under the service plan. 3. Most recently I was told by Toyota in Maryland that at 66K miles it is due for transmission fluid flush according to the standard recommended maintenance plan of someone driving in the Washington DC metro area. According to Milton Reuben service manager (Todd) it wasn't actually due for it at 66K miles unless I do towing. As a result, this service plan is not covering even though I was told it was recommended maintenance. When I asked Todd when it is due, he didn't actually know and said he would need to look it up. The Maryland dealership showed me the screenshot below that it was recommended maintenance based on living in the Washington DC metro area. Why would two different Toyota dealerships say two different things about what should be standard knowledge of the general maintenance schedule? Bottom line is someone is lying, and I have escalated up to Toyota corporate to get to the bottom of this. My trust in the Toyota Milton Ruben brand is gone. (and have attached a screenshot of the "recommended maintenance" per Toyota guidelines!) They seem to be friendly with you when you are bringing business to purchase cars, warranties & extended service plans but don't look out for you when issues actually arise. I purchased a battery and the lifetime battery warranty; I went to them because my car wouldn't crank and I had to get a boost to get it to crank. I went to service they put my car battery through the battery tester and they said it was good. Next day drove and cranked my car twice the next day and it was fine but on the third time I went somewhere and tried to crank the car it wouldn't crank. Nothing was left on to kill the battery. It's just a bad battery. At Toyota the store sign say close at 5:30 but I got to the store at 4:58 and they said that they close at 5:00. The service representative was unbothered by the fact that I spent 3 hours on the day prior and now I'm back less than 24 hrs later with the same issue. Ask for service manager, he's gone, ask for parts manager, they gone. No care for their customers safety and poor service after the sale of their battery and the lifetime warranty. Today I waited 2 1/2 hours for an oil change and tire rotation and then was charged $101 when the service web page indicated $89. Everyone has been polite, however the delays at the service department are excessive. Even when scheduled with appointments the wait time can take up to two hours. I recently had a tire leak and went before opening and waited two hours for the repair or replacement. After two hours, and after being told it was being worked on, I walk back into office three to see my vehicle was parked outside and the rep states I have no hazard warranty. So no work has been done. While there is a mixup with the name, it took all of 3 minutes (after he finally looked it up) to verify I do have hazard service. I had to leave for another appointment to come back. Called and spoke with service manager and voiced concerns with why my info wasn't verified before two hours of wait time was lost. This is the second time this has been an issue. I have now been waiting another hour and a half to to have the tire replaced. Don't buy warranties with them if you can avoid it. Service use to be better but that was at least two and a half years ago. Just because they act nice doesn't mean the waste of my time isn't an issue. They also accepted walk-ins for service checks in the past but stopped that at least a year ago if not longer. Please get more help if it's that busy. ​ read more

Service Department Review: The service department conducted a diagnostic on my vehicle and provided feedback on a non-existent issue with my vehicle that would have costs me $3K+ dollars to fix. When I took it to another mechanic to get a 2nd quote and opinion, the mechanic told me it was another issue and there was no issue with what the Toyota service had diagnosed. I'm appalled at this dealership trying to scam me and diagnosing something that wasn't the problem in order to charge $1000's of dollars to customers to fix something that wasn't broke and not getting to the crux of the issue in the vehicle. I visited this dealership on 05/23 after a coworker recommended. I was briefly looking at a few cars and waiting to get my car appraised. I went over to a tent that was set up where multiple people were at. I was greeted by three females who informed me it was a closed event for "THEIR EMPLOYEES". The females were very unprofessional and rude towards me. After about three minutes of waiting, two of the three girls began bumping their hips and dancing. DISTASTEFUL and so unprofessional. My wife decided to get a suv and sell her 2022 Honda civic due to us having a baby and she found a suv she liked but here were the problems... 1. They said she put cash down ($2,000) when she did not by this time we had already got a loan for the remaining balance on the car meaning we couldn't get more than what was owed and they tried to blame her when it was their worker who did the paper work wrong causing a world of hurt for us and arguing with them 2. The 2020 RAV 4 we purchased they tried to make her literally cry because the man she was dealing with had to rush to the ER for his wife...it's a business at the end of the day so probably not the best way to negotiate with a post partum women, VERY wrong to mess with a woman's emotions like that for money gain 3. Over the last three years the customerservice in the service department has gone downhill drastically. Their turnover of Service technicians that they assign to you is nonstop turnover. Even the managers from the service department are nonstop turnover. Then I bring a coupon for a synthetic oil change two weeks ago and they refuse to honor it making some excuse because of the type of vehicle I have . I own a 2006 Highlander and a 2011 Tacoma truck and I've always been able to use coupons at other Toyota dealers in Florida for synthetic oil changes but this dealership in Augusta refused to honor it. I make appointments all the time to have my vehicle serviced yet I still wait just as long as people that just pull up to the dealership for service without a appointment. What is the sense of making a appointment if I sit there in the drive-up bay for 15 minutes waiting for somebody to come to my vehicle and then I wait another 1.5 hours for an oil change even though I've made an appointment. Very poor customer service in the service department and your turnover rate is ridiculous. I've gone to the Toyota dealer in Southwest Florida for 15 years with my Toyota and I had the same service representative all that time and they honored their coupons as well. And you will spend a long time trying to get someone to answer the phone at Milton Ruben Toyota. The phone will ring and ring many times before someone answers. Or you are out on hold for way too long. This entire dealership-service department-customer service all need to be flushed down the crapper and start over from scratch. Simple 40k miles service on a certified vehicle maintenance plan. Gave me a black and white copy of the service report that is color coded for customer to see green for ok . Last item was a windshield wiper check that was marked in good condition. I went to look and it is in strands- shreds! If that was the service level for visual did my tires get rotated or my fluids checked? I was quoted $170 to see why from washer fluid drizzling from spray head. I denied this and told my son who put compressed air to the lines to sprayer and cleared them out. Needless to say i will never know if anything was done. Wow! There sure are a lot of negative reviews on here. Looks like most of them are possibly for service and service wait times. My experience however was the opposite! My family needed a replacement vehicle for a total loss and pretty quickly before school started back up. It all started with some online shopping and checking the availability of a vehicle. At the time I was working with another dealership who was giving me a pretty decent discount. I mentioned what we were paying to Stephen Person and he checked with his manager who authorized to send us a counter offer. Let's just say it was $1,500 lower than the other deal. As we were going to be travelling 3 hours to get there, I asked for "proof of life". He quickly sent me pictures of the vehicle and the VIN. Stephen was able to hold the keys personally until we finished the deal later that day. I was able to scan and photograph some of the info needed for my paperwork, so that once we got to the dealership, finishing the purchase/transaction only took 30-40 minutes. The car had already been "gassed up" and detailed - it was ready to go!! Since it's the local Toyota dealership in the area, I brought my vehicle here for service last month for an air conditioning issue. The next day came back to pick it up and was told the solution has been resolved and if there were any issues bring it back. Mind you after service my vehicle continued to leak fluid but the ac was operable. Fast forward to this week, the air conditioning completely goes out. Return it back for service and was informed the air conditioning system was leaking and needs to be repaired totally. Same situation but an extreme difference in cost. As a customer, I baffled at how this issue was missed the first time especially if the system was showcasing the same problems. My hybrid car was serviced promptly at this Toyota car dealership. This business offered a stellar customer service and fair price for the quality of the service offered. I came at the opening at 7:30 a.m. without an appointment on a Friday. There was already a fast moving queue. Within five minutes, my car was going to the car repair department with a pleasant Service associate. This car dealership was well-organized with a streamlined process and clear signs about where to go. At the beginning of the queue, there was a dispatcher to orient you between their two lanes. The bill was $136. The staff did a tire rotation (~ $22) and changed a $30 light bulb at the front of my car. The multi-point inspection was complimentary. The remainder of the bill was labor costs and taxes. The knowledgeable staff also puts back within one minute my dashboard in mph (US standard). Another car repair had changed my dashboard to km/h (European standard) while trying to reset the screen "maintenance required". I was also given a courtesy shuttle twice by the friendly and customer-oriented Phil while my car was being repaired. Once my car was ready, I paid immediately as there was no queue. There were two service-oriented cashiers. I will certainly be back to service my car there. On a side note, I noticed the vast majority of their negative reviews has no profile pictures and few reviews per reviewer. It makes me question the veracity of those postings... read more

My wife took our 4-runner in for a routine oil change and two days later I'm stuck at the gym with an oil light on and a complete puddle of oil underneath the vehicle. She had a 830 appointment time and it still took two hours. Not because the service was slow on the vehicle but because she had to wait extra time for someone to do paperwork. I'm understanding and know mistakes happen but how they'll handle this situation is depending on how they take care of the situation. I would strongly advice just paying for your oil change else where so you do not have to deal with being stuck somewhere with a puddle of oil under your vehicle and possibly causing further damage from techs who can't perform a simple task. I would hate to see something more complicated done and see the finished job. Contact me ASAP . Update: They took care of the vehicle and delivered it back to my place of work the same day. Still waiting on a resolution to the garage situation and to be reimbursed for the tow but so far so good. I would still be hesitant to take a vehicle here but at least they seem caring and willing to make it right. M.R. Did transmission work(replaced clutch) less than 600 miles later it started to slip and fail. I took it back and said " I am not looking to get it repaired for free, but you shouldn't make a profit off fixing it" the first repair was around $1,300. The management agreed to help and said " I will only charge you $75 a hour instead of the standard $95 Per hour." Well the cost needed up being the same amount of money$1,300 because he( Manager) increased the amount of time it took to complete the job...as you can imagine I was shocked a dealership would actually do this. After your factory warranty is over, FIND ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP! They get one star because i am a forgiving person and karma will catch up to the owners and management. Multiple issues. First and foremost having to do with oil changes. We've used them a few times, making early morning appointments only to arrive and wait for 3 hours, watching walk-ins get in and out before us. Finally swore to never return. Well, against our better judgement, we returned for a small issue on one of our cars. We were charged $254 to have a $4 fuse replaced. What a rip-off. I suppose the second one is on us as we didn't realize we'd be charged $250 for "diagnostic" and "labor" on replacing a fuse. Will NOT BE BACK. read more

Making calls and typing away making it look like he was getting me a deal. Giving me something free that I actually paid for. Had to cancel part of the contract later. I went to Milton Ruben because I saw online they had a Toyota CH-R in the bronze color I wanted to look at. The salesman opened the car and let me sit in it -- then opened the hatch and there was a tipped over Red Bull can and other trash. Obviously they don't care what happens to their cars on the lot. I liked the car and the salesman ASSURED ME if I bought it the car would be "spotless" and that is a quote. On the way to the showroom he told me and my son he "didn't play games" and would get me the best quote. He came back with STICKER price. We just laughed. He asked about financing and I told him I was paying cash. He said that was different and came back with a little better price. I told him I was going to trade a Honda Civic Sport Touring and he said they wanted to see it. WE LEFT. Looked at some other dealerships and finally went back to check on my Honda Civic that was in for service. Since it was still sitting on the lot and they hadn't touched it I asked them to tell me what they would give me for it -- got a quote -- called the Toyota place and over the phone agreed to a trade plus cash price. They had previously agreed to give me the all weather mats for the Toyota. Dummy me -- I thought that mean ALL of the all-weather mats -- floor mats AND the mat for the back hatch area. Took the Honda to the Toyota place and when I asked about the FREE mats they said they could only give me the floor mats not the mat for the back hatch area. I was not happy over such a nit picky thing but agreed. They said they would order them and I could pick them up the next day. The salesman said he was getting my new car cleaned up. We finalized the deal and I left. My son and I both were exhausted from all the dickering and hassles. Later the salesman called and told me THEY DID NOT MAKE ALL WEATHER FLOOR MATS FOR THE CH-R. I went online and they absolutely DID make them. When I called the salesman back and told him he made up some story about different dealerships were in different regions and carried different parts. Turned out the man working in parts was clueless and didn't know how to order the mats. When the REAL parts guy came back he ordered them -- also price matched an online price for the back mat AND gave me a key chain. Bob was SUPER NICE. By the way -- my new car was FILTHY. If that is what "spotless" looks like I obviously am confused. The car had pollen caked on the inside of the doors, caked on the painted parts and gaskets inside of the hatch area and the engine compartment was positively covered in pollen. IT WAS DISGUSTING. When I went back to get the mats I saw the salesman and told him the car was dirty. He made some excuses and NEVER OFFERED TO CLEAN IT. I'm a 73 year old woman and had to go home and clean that caked on pollen off of my brand new car. While I was doing the paperwork I told them I wanted the car in BOTH my name and my husband's name. They said THEY COULD NOT DO IT but I could take the registration and title to the DMV and have his name added. I did that AND NOW I HAVE A TITLE SHOWING MY CAR IS A USED CAR all because they were too incompetent to put it in both names when I bought it. Obviously "NOT GOOD" isn't bad enough for a review of this dealership. I will NEVER take my car back to Milton Ruben in Augusta, GA. I will TRY the Toyota dealer in Aiken, SC or drive to Columbia, SC. AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A CAR FROM THIS DEALER.
