I had a water pump fail on a 2018 Audi SQ5 and had my car towed to Audi Augusta. After spending almost $6,000 I got my car back. The car had never leaked a drop of oil but a few days after I got it back it started leaking oil badly. Quote for repair almost $2,000! If I could leave less than one star for a review I would. We took our daughter's 2015 Passat in to get the actuators replaced on September 16 2025. We just got the vehicle back today on December 1 2025. When we originally went to pick the vehicle in October the rear driver side door had been damaged and the gear shifter lights no longer worked and the car was not accelerating . We informed them. At which point they said they would take a look at it. They contacted me back and said I would need a second diagnostics when they did a full diagnostic when we took it in and no other issues were found. After doing a second diagnostics they then said the cam magnet was the cause of the vehicles loss of acceleration. We just picked the vehicle up today and now the backup camera is not working. They told us they can do another diagnostics which we would have to pay for it. What's even worse is the General Manager and the Service Manager both stated there's not much they could do. Eventually, we were offered $250 off of the cam magnet repair. But unfortunately we left with our vehicle worse off than when we took in for a simple service. I would not recommend taking your vehicle to Gerald Jones Volkswagen for repair. If you can find another foreign automotive repair shop that has great work/mechanics. I'd highly recommend doing so. read more

I bought a new SQ5 and have it at the dealership 5 times for the same warranty issue. The factory tells me to take to the dealership and the dealership keeps it for days/ weeks. They download a new a new computer program or re-start the system with hard boot computer start up and give me the car back with the same issues. Based on milage in and out the shop, in spite of me asking them to test drive the car, they do not. I feel the various issues with the system make the car un-safe to drive. The service manager David is nice but he can't help. The service writer Julia is not nice and said the problem is between me and Audi "it is on you " she said. It is my second car purchased from them in the past 2 years and my last. I can only hope people read this and avoid Audi of Augusta GERALD JONES read more

From our salesperson Consuella to the GM Ms. Vicki and our finance rep Mr. Bill. Absolutely terrible!!!!!! I not take your car for service at Audi Augusta!!!!!!!! I took my car in for service and picked it up. They said everything looks good. I took it home and had a major power steering leak. I had to have it towed back and then they found 3 major leaks. Quoted $12,000 to repair. Very suspicious. Do you even know the payments on this vehicle" implying I could not afford the vehicle. Then tried to show me a Mazda I was not interested in at all. Let me just say wow, and not in the good way. Stopped by to see their product, and left thinking we had a deal in place for 2021 SQ7. I didn't have time to test drive their car that day, plus we had to work out number on my car. However, preliminary numbers were somewhat set. The next day I texted one of the used car manager to set up a test driver, and in response I received a text stating that Audi of Augusta is not interested in making this deal. The issue at hand was my trade. Apparently, they call few BMW dealerships to see if they can get trade numbers that we agreed prior to me leaving Audi dealership. So when BMW said they couldn't pay their asking price; Audi backed away from our deal. Based on a current market, if Audi of Augusta had taken my 2021 M3 as trade in and sold from their lot; I believe they would have made a profit anywhere from 6-12 thousand. After receiving this text message from used car manager, I decided to bring this issue to General Sales Manager. The conversation with Sales Manager was quite productive; in my opinion. After speaking to Sales Manager, I was informed that their concerns was they wouldn't be able to make a profit if they were to give me my asking price for M3. I told Manager they would make a profit if they were to sale it from their store, and that I also have a buyer who would buy it for my asking price. After coming to a solution that would suit all parties, we finally set up a test drive, and potential sale. The next day my wife and I drove to Audi to test drive SQ7. I told Audi salesperson and the Sales Manager that we were happy with SQ7, and would like to wrap up the deal ASAP. I asked dealerships to put everything together, while I take my wife and my kid home. There was no need for them to be there for two hours. As I was wrapping up final details about our deal, I asked for a General Sales Manager to find some additional discount on their Audi. I figure since I did most of the leg work, by finding a buyer who was willing to pay a fair price for the trade in, the Manager would obliged with my request. The response was not to worry that this deal will make everyone happy. Once I got home, and texted Manager to see if any discounts were applied. The answer was no. My response; let's not lose this deal over small discount. Manager's reply was very short, and I guess to the point "XX,500 works for us". I asked for $1,500. This small amount would not have any impact on Gerald Jones Auto Group. They would make that $1,500 back from two three visits from me to their service shop, or merchandise purchases. As a result, they have lost more money because of failed deal. Yes, they will sell SQ7 to someone else for their asking price, but for me, I will never set my foot into Gerald Jones Auto Group. You might say, it's not fair to other dealerships in this consortium. Perhaps, but I challenge you to read their "About Us" on GJ page. There is nothing stating how they value their current and future customers. Let's see how long it will take for Audi of Augusta to read and respond to this. Countdown begins on 22 January. read more

II recently took an Audi Q3 to Gerald Jones to have transmission fluid filled - that's it. I received 6 Qts of Transmission fluid and was charged $630.10. The only part was a charge for the Transmission Drain bolt/plug (which they stated was damaged). I looked at it prior to the Service appointment and there was nothing wrong with the bolt. The Car has just over 60k miles. I am posting this for the public to understand the excessive costs you will pay at this location based on my personal opinion. To put things more into perspective - I was charged over $13.00 for the washer alone that accompanies the bolt/plug. The OEM washer has a retail value of $1.69-$2.98 online. You make the decision yourself as to whether or not this reasonable, and if is how you want to spend your hard earned money. My opinion is $630 for 6 Qts of fluid and a drain plug is ridiculous. Consider yourselves "informed". I will not be back to Gerald Jones Audi or any of the Gerald Jones Dealerships for service or a vehicle purchase. Ironically, we are approaching the time over the coming weeks to buy a vehicle for my youngest daughter. We will be driving to alternate dealerships in Columbia, Greenville and the surrounding areas now and in the future unless they are not a part of the Gerald Jones Auto Group. read more

Had great service replacing my air bags!

**Gerald Jones Audi has added a response to this review, which they are entitled to do, stating that they wish to resolve the matter if I will just contact them. Nonsense. That note is for public consumption, not for me. They have my number. In fact, they called to see how everything was, and when I told them that I had a terrible experience, they certainly did not offer to reach a 'satisfactory solution.'** My previous review was written the morning after leaving the Gerald Jones Audi Service Department and then breaking down near Charlotte, NC late in the day. I didn't yet know what the problem was. I only knew that Gerald Jones Service Manager Alex was sure it was my fault because I have an older car. Ready for this? The water filler cap was not on correctly. The mechanic I found in Charlotte showed me how the water would stream out a drain when the cap wasn't on right. He spent three hours trying to make it leak anywhere else, and couldn't. Now I've been flying up and down the Appalachians for four days and I haven't lost a drop of coolant. I should also add that I've had that cap off and on myself several times and never managed to screw it up. ...but Gerald Jones Audi service is sure it isn't their fault. They told me they leak tested it after installing the new hose. Either (a) they didn't, (b) they only checked the hose (which is stupid), (c) they reinstalled the cap poorly after performing the leak check. Meanwhile I'm out another day's travel time, a towing bill, a hotel bill, and a bill for the mechanic in Charlotte. Thank you Gerald Jones Audi. **Update...now home in Central Florida. No further trouble for remainder of the trip, nor since. I believe it was the terrible attitude of the employees at Gerald Jones Audi that prevented them from fixing a simple cooling leak. read more

This dealership is superb. Cliff Williams (service advisor) is absolutely the best! When I arrive at the dealership, he opens the door for me and escorts me into the dealership. The service manager Alex Alva is great. I had an issue that he resolved promptly. He is in tune with customer service. Alex Alva looked after me in a very quick, efficient, professional and friendly manner. I would definitely recommend taking your car to Gerald Jones Audi. If I could give zero stars I would! If you are thinking about getting an Audi, you may want to just go with a completely different car or find another place that can service your Audi. Do NOT go to Gerald Jones Audi. I have had the most horrible experiences with Audi since Cliff left. I have had to re-schedule on 3 occasions just to get a simple tire rotation. The 3rd time, which was today (12 Sep 2018), I was told they didn't have any loaner vehicles available. This really threw me for a loop because I just received a phone call from them yesterday evening confirming my standing appointment and that a loaner vehicle would be available. Since I had to be at work, I asked if they could just put some air in one of my tires because the light was on. As I waited the 30 mins it took for the guy to put air in 1 tire, I overheard the service rep giving out a loaner vehicle to another customer. I am EXTREMELY livid right now!!! :/ read more

I went into Gerald Jones VW and expected to be treated like I have so many times in the past. I have been to numerous dealerships and have been treated like the scum of the earth because I have less than perfect credit. Then I went to this dealership and was greeted by my sales person Mr. David Dutton and let me tell you it was the best thing that I have ever done. This man from the time of the smile to the handshake at me arriving he made me feel as if I was a customer and a friend. He really took the time to help me and get me a used passat, which was way more car than I thought I could ever buy. David never made me feel pressured. He told me from the beginning that he was not there to sell me anything but however he was there to help me buy. Lord if that's not the truth. He did everything to help me. Oh yeah and he got me financed, after all the ones before told me no. What a great person and dealership to work with.
