My spouse and I went to Taylor Hyundai to look at their line of Genesis cars and they were extremely busy. Kimberly excused herself from a client and talked to us about what we were looking for. We scheduled an appointment with her for later that day. She was busy and handed us off to Ric Smith, who turned out to be an incredible salesman. Although a salesman, he didn't act like your typical salesman. He was able to answer all of our questions, show us how the car worked, and he placed no pressure on us at all. In all honesty, I didn't get my own car serviced here. However, I accompanied my mother as her car was serviced. This review is from my own "outside looking in" perspective. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted by a gentleman (Matt) with amazing customer service (*****+) on a golf cart. Seeing we may be feeling lost, he kindly stopped and expertly guided us through the construction area and to the Service Line. He continued by getting us all checked in with true "southern hospitality". I really appreciated his patience during the process. Inside, the waiting area offered several beverage options, clean restrooms, a large screen television and even coloring books for the kiddos. I do think it's a nice service that they wash your vehicle before returning it to you. FYI: prices for service seem higher than necessary. A battery replacement was $238!! They charged $75 service fee to remove and replace the battery. read more

My wife and I was out having dinner and decided to walk through the parking lot of Taylor Hyundai. Rick, the salesmen there happened to come out and assist us. At the time he didn't have his phone show us some of what he had available. So we told him that we were going to have lunch and we'll return afterwards. So once we return Rick had a few cars in mind, which we did take a look at. But we did notice the new a 2026 EV on the lot, which he was very knowledgeable of and explained it very thoroughly. Update: my neighbor and I got on google and diagnosed the problem: one small plastic switch under the brake pedal was broken, a KNOWN BUG for Hyundais, subject of several lawsuits, ya think the dealer would be clued in to that? My wife recently purchased a new car from Taylor Hyundai. The car had a tiny scratch from the transport straps and it had to be returned to the dealership at a later date when the "Paint Guy" made his next scheduled visit. My sales rep Jarret did a great job alerting me to fact that this was the week. I had to bring the car in early and he arranged a loaner for me as my wife was working and I needed a ride home. They alerted me promptly that the car was ready and the sales manager personally took care of me when I returned to get my vehicle. Great selection of vehicles but they are unwilling to come down on their pricing and their markup is unbelievable more than any dealership I came across. I was confused but the next day I received a call and they were willing to come down on their markup and gave me a decent (not the best) deal. I accepted it because #1, local business and #2 they have a GREAT team! I'm VERY pleased with the service I received & for the vehicle I had chosen as well. I had to go 4 separate times to services due to my car not accelerating and never got the problem resolved. I paid for a new transmission and still was having problems. they sent me away with my car barley accelerating and told me it was my tires. went back a 4th time and the service manager gutted my catalytic converter, he completed removed the back end of the honeycombs and scraped out a portion of the front end. He told me he "cleaned it out" and sent me on my way. After taking my car to a second shop the employees told me I was taken advantage of and that should not have happened and is also illegal. I have been trying to reach the manager to talk about this and have left several voicemails with no call back. Would not recommend this location. read more

Review of Taylor Hyunday in Augusta, Ga. : service unacceptable, staff rude! Didn't service my car and said they did! was charged more than as quoted. Would definitely not recommend!! Thought I had my car serviced before taking a trip. Drove over 1400 miles and then found out my brakes were metal to metal and rear tires should not have been driven on. had my car been serviced, as I was told it was, I would have replaced them. The one thing they did do, was lock my trunk so I couldn't use it. Cannot trust their service or people who work there. When I can, I will not be using them again! read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. We bought an extended warranty for the car and the car is a 2019 by the way. We took the car in because the oil is going somewhere, they said they thought some of the valve covers were leaking but didn't have enough evidence to spend 2.5 hours looking for the leak. This is where the warranty comes in. If they would have spent the time to find and fix the problem, then the warranty would have covered 100% of the work. Instead, they told us to wait for more evidence of the leak and charged us $95. They could charge this since no work was done. We will not go back and I don't advise you to go either!!! read more

I had a very unpleasant experience at Taylor Hyundai, on Washington Rd today. I called and scheduled a recall appt for my 2015 Hyundai Elantra, on Monday morning, 5-6-24, and it was scheduled for Tuesday, 6-4-24 at 10am. When I arrived, I was greeted by Andrew (he did not have a pleasant personality), I gave him my car key when I got out of my vehicle and proceeded to the check-in counter as instructed. After being checked in, I proceeded to the waiting area. Approximately, 20 minutes later, a female worker, asked me if I had my car key (that I had given to Andrew), to make a long story short, they misplaced my car key, and treated me as if I was the one that lost my key; they supposedly looked everywhere in my car for the key, after losing valuable time, Danielle, came out of the office and miraculously found my key in the cup holder under a napkin...really...(out of all of their customers, my key was the only key misplaced), after going through that degrading experience and losing valuable time, Danielle tells me, they did not have the part needed for the recall...Danielle was the only one to apologize to me ( I don't think it was sincere), Andrew, and none of the other people involved thought it was necessary to apologize to me for inconveniencing me and providing horrible customer service. read more

Our wait was a little longer than expected; however, reason for the extra time was explained, Everyone was cordial. Danielle told us about the refreshment and waiting areas. It helps when your bill is to expensive. You will have monthly payments. But it's threw Sunbit. You can pick how many months you want to pay your balance . The most important to me ( Keisha) is that the program threw Sunbit helps boost your credit score . Only if you make your payments on time. Also being a good customer by paying your bill on time. It should not take THREE HOURS for an oil change to be performed when some other places can do it in as little as 15 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous wait time. They also don't even wash your vehicle for you because of "Covid" despite the fact they sold me courtesy washes when I purchased the vehicle in July. Pretty deceptive. read more

My wife took our Hyundai vehicle in for a routine oil change. For some odd reason, they recommended to her that the battery needed to be replaced ASAP. The service rep even said that the car will not start in a couple of days if it isn't replaced. My wife declined, but took our car to the nearest Autozone for a second opinion. Autozone ran a battery check and said everything was fine. Not sure why anyone would recommend services that are not necessary. It angers me and makes me wonder why anyone would tell a blatant lie. Make me question the integrity and professionalism of this dealership. I would give 0 stars if possible. read more

Took my sons car for a basic oil change and tire rotation. Had a 10am appt. Did not pull out of the lot until 2:45 pm and it never got the complimentary wash as I needed to leave for an appointment. When they brought up my car it was the wrong vehicle. She blamed the service desk. The service desk blamed only having 2 techs on staff. Don't schedule service if it cannot be completed in a reasonable time. So glad I own a Ford and Infiniti where service is always done on a timely basis. No Hyundai in my future! read more

I've owned many makes and models of vehicles so have many experiences with purchasing and servicing from different dealers. Taylor Hyundai (TH) is by far the worst dealership I've ever had to work with. The short story is: My mother-in-law's 5 month old Tucson's fuel injector failed (which is common I find out via the internet ). I leave 4 messages with 4 different people over 2 days to have the car towed. No return call. I have to go by the dealership to get a number to call so "I" can get the car towed. TH offers no help. Since TH doesn't return calls we go by to check on car after a week and they say they don't have it! The car actually sat in the lot for a week after being towed in and no one even logged it into the service department. After a couple days they determined the fuel injector was bad. TH's initial estimate was the part was in Atlanta and would take a week to get. It took over a month to get and we were never offered loaner vehicle while TH fumbled around trying to find parts for a practically new car. I called once a week to check on the vehicle and no one ever answers the phone.....over a month long disaster. There are way too many great dealers and better car manufacturers out there to deal with than Taylor or Hyundai. All I can offer is to be very cautious in choosing who you make your very expensive vehicle purchase from. Good luck. read more

My experience here was fantastic. Ernest Eldridge is fantastic. He was quick to respond when I first submitted my request to my buying program. He answered all of my questions without being overbearing. They didn't not have the interior/exterior color combo I wanted so I told him I'd pass and he respected that. Once I decided I could compromise on color, I brought my business to him. He was through in his review over the car before I purchased. He set up all the car features for me before I left. He had to order one accessory for me but had it ordered and delivered swiftly. Just a great experience. read more

The salesperson I worked with was the best! The finance department, not so much. Didn't want to sell me a car because he thought "I couldn't afford it". 2+ years later, never a late payment. But the service department? Now they take the cake! These people are the most inept group on the planet! Car broke down leaving me stranded in the middle (literally) of the street. Took 2 hours to get a tow. Can't tell me if my warranty covers rental until diagnostics are run, but over 24 hours later, they still haven't touched my car. I get my own rental and have my car towed to another shop, which does diagnosis and repair within 3 hours. AND... the issue is a part that was recalled 2 years ago. My car has been there several times since that campaign. Never addressed it. And I'm told it "didn't affect my car". Clearly, it did. When they work on my car, they NEVER update the service records. I've had to return a time or two to get an up to date oil change sticker. We have to reset the service intervals ourselves (I don't know what the correct intervals are) but otherwise it's always 267 days past due. And good luck finding a corporate number to voice your concerns. When I asked, I was given a dentist office. The receptionist said they give their number out all the time! I'd rather pay someone else to fix my car than have the service department do ANYTHING! read more

We bought our Elantra here in 2012. The customer service was excellent at the time. However, it's been the service department over the past two years that really makes me give then 5 stars. We've been religious with our oil changes, and they've always been fast and professional. We've also been able to experience their roadside assistance for a flat tire that we got. We didn't realize that there was spare tire in the trunk and had to limp home on a flat. After getting home, we contacted hyundai roadside assistance and they came out to pick up our car and take it to the dealer for service. I could see that being a pain if we were taking a long trip, but in this instance it worked out. Note to self - need to buy full size spare. Just today, we went by for some service on a tire that kept on going flat. We showed up just at closing, expecting to drop the car off overnight. However, the guy at the service department was nice enough to stay an hour over his normal closing time to find the staples in our rear tire, remove them, and repair the patches. On top of that, he didn't even charge uso. It was a great experience. I would definitely recommend Taylor Hyundai! read more

I want to give a shout out to Will (my service representative) for being extremely patient and generous to me through all of my maintenance and issues I had with my initial service I received. He is always on top of everything ensuring I get exactly what I need anytime I come in. Will is a prime example of what customer service should look like. ------------------------------------------------------------------- On the other hand and for respect reasons I will not drop names, a certain sales representative could deffinatly work on the way he hands off his customers to speak with the financial manager....maybe he can take a few lessons from will! I don't know why but it's always sooooooo slow here for service. An oil change can take about two hours....I literally hate coming here cause it take forever...but I got me a fancy hybrid car and like them to check all the bells an whistles that go with it. On the plus side they have offered a rental car if I needed to go somewhere pressing....I just clear my schedule and hope they don't have to do anything extra to add more hours to my waiting time. read more
