10/10 I can't recommend this shop enough! As a woman, it's hard to find shops where they don't…read moreundermine you or act weird because of gender. The employees have always been transparent, kind and straightforward. They have affordable prices and always give great recommendations!

DO NOT--and I repeat, DO NOT--take your vehicle here!…read more I recently had my oil changed at Express Oil Change in North Augusta. My vehicle later had to be towed to the dealership for an unrelated repair. While there, the dealership informed me that my vehicle had approximately TWO QUARTS MORE OIL than it required. Because the vehicle was undrivable, the dealership explained that the oil needed to be corrected before they could safely test-drive it after completing the repairs. Before authorizing the dealership to change the oil, I contacted Express Oil Change and explained the situation. The gentleman I spoke with told me they had experienced issues with vehicles being overfilled. After speaking with his manager, he told me they needed my VIN number. The next day, after picking up my vehicle from the dealership, I went directly to Express Oil Change. After providing my VIN, I was told they had NO RECORD of my vehicle ever being serviced there--even though I had been there approximately four or five times. Thankfully, I still had my receipt in my glove compartment. Without it, I feel my complaint would have been dismissed immediately. I explained that the dealership had to change the oil because my vehicle was undrivable and could not be brought back to Express Oil Change without being towed. I had to pay the dealership approximately $105 for that oil change. The manager refused to reimburse me, stating that their warranty did not apply because someone else had touched the vehicle. That was extremely disappointing. I brought the issue to their attention BEFORE the dealership changed the oil, and one of their own employees acknowledged to me that they had experienced issues with overfilling vehicles. The only way I could have returned my undrivable vehicle to them first would have been to pay for another tow. Mistakes happen. My biggest issue is how the situation was handled after I brought it to their attention. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location. If you choose to have your vehicle serviced here, KEEP YOUR RECEIPT and check your oil level afterward.
