They charged $160 to diagnose an issue that turned out to be low fluid, something that felt pretty obvious and quick to identify. I've always understood that if you move forward with the repair, the diagnostic fee is typically applied or waived, but that wasn't the case here. The $350 for the transmission fluid flush itself seemed reasonable, but adding the $160 on top of that for such a simple diagnosis didn't sit right. Of course he verified it was the correct parts before attempting to make the repairs. But it saved me tons of $$$. We have a 2017 Jaguar F-pace, which no mechanics shops in the CRSA like to work on or just outright refuse to because of lack of repair experience with the platform. C&C motors tried rip me off for $900+. to replace one coolant line. I paid $500 less for parts and labor and an additional coolant hose with thermostat housing. And Shelly did that in my driveway. Keep in mind, I had an idea what was wrong with my vehicle and 3D MM confirmed it and let me know IF it was a repair he would be able to do BEFORE he attempted to repair my vehicle. 3D MM got me back on the road. But they called me and told me the truth. Just a CD stuck in the player keeping it open draining the battery. Also, my friend who replaced the battery for me removed the windshield wipers to get the old battery out (I don't why). They were not reinstalled correctly and some other stuff was wrong with them.
