Marc Yount's was strongly recommended to me by a co-worker as "the only place he would EVER go for tires" in the greater CSRA. The front desk was friendly (ask for Randall or Jeff), the mechanics do good work. My four new tires were replaced and balanced in one hour and fifteen minutes on a Saturday (as a counter example Sam's and Goodyear have taken around 3 hours to do the same work). I called around to compare prices and Marc Yount's was cheaper than every tire place within 15 minutes of my apartment including Jim Whitehead and Tires Plus. Four Michelin Defender's for my 2011 Focus were 599$ (total walk out price after taxes). I've done all the work on all my cars for all my life starting at 13 (yeah, I drove at 13, and maintained my mom's cars). I took my 4Runner (275k miles) to them for new back tires. I came back to pick it up, and old Marc with his hippy powerboat days well behind him, leaned forward and said "you and I have to have a talk..." "Your rear axle seals are shot, and I don't eve know what I'm going to find when I open that pumpkin (meaning differential)." An off-the-cuff estimate was $2500+ It was a condition I was aware of... just brake seals, not axle seals. They were leaking on the inside of the RR back tire, and rather than be honest or investigate further, they took me for a fool and threw rear axle seals in the mix, a $2500 repair that wasn't needed. I'm 100k further down the road and my axle seals are still fine. The blonde old hippie is a shyster, and his squeaky mouthpiece at the desk is just a minion. I went there because I thought they did good, honest work. But this was my last day ever since... can't re-build that kind of trust. read more

Needed a tire repair on a holiday weekend. This place was open and willing to repair. They ended up not being able to repair the tire due to the placement do the mail, but they did have a good quality tire that had good tread to replace it for $60 dollars. They also could have ordered a tire but I needed one quicker than it would be in. Highly recommended. I was in and out in 30 min. read more

My daughter drove her car to this shop to get a nail repaired. Ended up with a torn up tire and screwed up wheel from improper dismounting. They claim no responsibility for it. Pictures clearly show wheel and tire damage from them. read more

After searching in vain for a competent sales person at several local tire dealers, I was sent to Marc Yount's by my local Napa guy. The rep that I dealt with was very knowledgeable and took the time to talk about several options that were available. I placed my order and left. Once the wheels came in, I went back to the shop and they got me rolling extremely efficiently. They even took the time to explain some service items that i might consider in the near future, but never came across with the typical mechanic BS and high pressure. During my time there, I observed the way the sales and service staff dealt with a variety of different customer types (men, women, car nuts, and clueless people). My car would not turn over. After I had it jumped, I took it to Marc Yount's Tire Pros. Mr. Marc told me it would more than likely be the next day when I got a call from them, since there were dozens of other customers ahead of me. Then at 3:50PM, I got called back with great news of the problem being a failed battery which had a 5-yr warranty. Can't really give an honest review. I got to the Marc Yount's Tire Pro office on Washington Road at around 1230 but there were no technicians there. All of them go to lunch at 1200. My issue is what if you are a customer and can only get your car looked at during lunch. What are your options? This is not the place for everyone. Nonetheless, really nice staff. read more

Went in for a road force balance, and found out my tires are worn down to the indicator. They gave me the balance for half price, and I returned later for new tires. Top notch shop. The staff are knowledgeable and caring. I have a performance car and take it to them because they know high performance tires and how not to damage rims. Extras include free rotations if you buy the tires from them. Prices are highly competitive even compared to online sellers. They detail the costs that some other shops neglect such as pressure monitor rebuilds so there are no surprises. Their web site is helpful and often has discounted service coupons. I agree with the other rater about customer service. They seem to be able to deal with even the most difficult or least knowledgeable customers with equal ease and respect. Always a good experience. I am one of those clueless types that have been mentioned in other reviews so thats the reason I now take all our family cars to Mark Younts for our tires. It was originally recommended by the BMW dealers nearby.I have taken a BMW,Audi,Golf GTI ,Honda,and Kia there and I feel the cars are in good hands with them and I don't have to worry if Im being" had" like I did with the dealers or big box tire stores. They save you money where they can and keep track of warrenties etc so have saved me many $ over the years. I drive out there from the hill area of Augusta although out of my way as I feel they are worth the drive for their great service and attention. Waiting area is not bad especially since it has free wi fi.Wait times are good also usually 20-30 min even when busy.They prefer you to make appointment but were great when I had to drop in also. read more

I took in my classic Ford that has been modified in for an alignment, and they were willing to discuss my requests (different than stock settings) and spent a long time making it right.
