"Your rear axle seals are shot, and I don't eve know what I'm going to find when I open that pumpkin (meaning differential)." An off-the-cuff estimate was $2500+ It was a condition I was aware of... just brake seals, not axle seals. They were leaking on the inside of the RR back tire, and rather than be honest or investigate further, they took me for a fool and threw rear axle seals in the mix, a $2500 repair that wasn't needed. I'm 100k further down the road and my axle seals are still fine. The blonde old hippie is a shyster, and his squeaky mouthpiece at the desk is just a minion. I went there because I thought they did good, honest work. But this was my last day ever since... can't re-build that kind of trust.

The staff are pretty good at rotating customers through, but you can still wait few hours pending time of the day. I've always purchased Tesla tires here. The gentleman who helped me looked out for my best interest in sourcing the best, yet most cost effective tires. We were able to put in an appointment and come get my tires swapped out seamlessly. Stopped for what i thought was a nail in my Pirelli run flat Mercedes dealership and another corporate tire place would not patch a run flat. Couldnt even take me in to check it for at least 4 hours. But someone told me to try Whitehead. These guys took me right in, diagnosed it and brought me back to shop to see there was some asphalt caught inside the rim and tire bead causing the leak. Not a nail. . Once that was scraped off the tire sealed well. Crisis averted and i was back on the road. And they charged a very fair price for what they did and the attention to detail. If i lived in the SRVA i would give them all my tire business.

They took the tire off and told me I didn't have a puncture and the screw didn't go through the tire (which is probably why I didn't notice any issues). After discussion they told me I didn't the patch and there was NO DAMAGE to my tire! They put it back on and I drove away. Within 5 mins of being on the interstate the tire sensor warning came on, and my car started to pull to the right. When I was able to safely pull over, my tire was FLAT and I could hear the air shooting out. I had to put a spare on on the side of the road (I am a 5'2" 140 lb woman). When I contacted Mavis and brought it into another Mavis (same day) I was informed that not only was there a puncture IN THE EXACT SAME PLACE so it wasn't a new puncture, but the inside wall was also damaged and I need a new tire. This went from a 22 dollar issue to a 200 dollar issue. Not to mention, the tire that was damaged also came from Mavis not even a year prior. I AM LIVID, literally in tears and was left stranded unless I bought a new tire. They refused to comp the tire, I had to purchase a new tire. I loathe these people! I will NEVER go back to another Mavis, EVER!!!!!! I WILL be filing a small claims case for the cost of the tire, it's not about the money, it's the audacity! Lesson learned, beware!

They gave me an outrageous price for that minor of a job and I said no screw it ill fix it myself. They then said that it is not safe at all to drive it home and said I would need to get it towed if I didnt want the job to get done. Mind you I was able to drive it perfectly fine to the place and after there inspection it was no longer safe to drive-according to them- So I said fine ill pay your terrible price after they made it so it wasnt drivable. I thought it wasnt drivable because the lady at the desk had told me that 3/5 of my lugs on one tire couldnt be tightened enough and then one was bad on another tire. I waited almost all day for this inspection and repair, just to find out its 2/6 bad studs for two tires which would have been okay for the didtance and speed I needed to go. And they charged me 360 dollars when I could get a 5 pack on amazon for 15 dollars and it would probably take me a hour or two at most. Instead they way over charged and told me false information about the repair which is what made me have them fix it. So if you ask me i was essentially scammed. Would give them 0 stars if I could
