Absolute waste of time. Came in for a 2:30 appointment and keep in mind I ordered tires to be delivered there, so everything was all set to go. I wait until 3 and I get a notification on my phone saying arrival time 4:15, estimated completion time, 5pm. So I go up and ask what the deal is, guy named Zach says "oh it's just an error that's not accurate you'll be the next car or the one after that" I'm like "ok great, so it shouldn't be like an hour right?" And they basically laugh like oh no don't worry it won't be nearly that long. Fast forward an hour plus to 4:10 and I'm like "what's going on you said it wouldn't even be close to an hour and my car still isn't in the bay" and he scrambles and goes and pulls my car in and says we'll get you out of here in 15 minutes or less. 30 minutes goes by and it's finally done. So long story short, had a 2:30 apt with tires already delivered, and it took me asking 3 times, and waiting 2 hours and 15 minutes to get TIRES PUT ON, it's so simple. I purchased a set of rims for my truck and one of the rims was the wrong size shipped in the wrong box.. ok I kinda understand that. I found a set of tires I wanted to have installed on my truck. I picked them out and called the store. I provided them the item # and they stated they would have to order them and they would be in next week. Around 10 days goes by and I receive a call from Nate telling me that my wheels are in and booked me an appointment for March 22 2021 @10:00 AM. I arrive 30 minutes prior to my appointment and stand in line. I'm checked in and told it will be about an hour wait. I go find a seat and patiently wait to be called. Nearly 3.5 hours later Nate approaches me and tells me that apparently they put my wheels on someone else's vehicle and that person has drove off. Nate advises me that if I'm willing to wait for the customer to drive back and take the wheels off, he would then put them on my truck and give me a discount. I told him I wasn't crazy about getting used wheels put on my vehicle, but reluctantly agreed pending the wheels would still be in like-new condition. Nate told me whether the wheels were new or used he would give me a fair discount to compensate me for my time and inconvenience. So after waiting for nearly 4 hours I go home empty handed and 1100 dollars lighter in my wallet. I receive a call later that night from Nate telling me that the customer who received my wheels is refusing to come back in so they're going to have to order more wheels and they would call me when they came in. The entire situation almost seemed like a bad joke, but apparently I was the punchline. 8 more days pass and I finally receive a call asking me to come in. I take the day off work, I drive back and check in and am told it would be 30-45 min max, they were going to "bump me to the front of the line". I wait for over an hour before being asked to pull into the bay. At nearly the 2 hour mark a bigger gentleman comes up to me and tells me that they didn't have the correct size lug nuts for my wheels despite them reassuring me everything was going to go smoothly this time. So they asked that I keep the OEM chrome lugs on my black wheels and come back AGAIN tomorrow so they can fix yet another mistake. Nate makes no reference of providing me a refund until I approach him to remind him. Nate types away in the computer for a few minutes and offers me 90 dollars off my original purchase price. 90 dollars. 90.... 90 dollars is apparently what 6.5 hours of my time sitting around is worth to discount tire. I tell Nate that the discount offered isn't even 10% of my purchase price (which i'm military so I didn't even get offered or utilize the 10% discount to begin with). Insulted by the offered would be putting it lightly. He types away on the computer some more and tells me 154 dollars back is the best he can do. This is after wasting 4+ hours of my time the first visit, then nearly tripling than the "30-40 minutes" I was quoted upon arrival. Then with the cherry on top telling me that I have to come back AGAIN for a third time to make up for their incompetence. Well unfortunately for me, I make more per hour than he offered me as a refund. So this entire wheel adventure costs me another thousand dollars in time missed from work accommodating discount tire for their mistakes. The entire experience was extremely arduous and unprofessional. For a company that makes their slogan "lets get you taken care of" this experience missed the mark by quite a bit. I have noticed the quality, professionalism and efficiency of the Augusta store has substantially decreased over the past few months. I'm not sure if they've had a change in management or what, but I can assure you my family, friends and I will steer clear of Discount Tire in the future. My personal opinion, I'd rather pay a little more at the dealer and ensure these clown car antics don't occur again. read more

I came in today for a usual tire rotation. The second I walked in, I was greeted and helped to find out what I needed to be done. The gentleman took my information as we walked to my car to get the numbers of the wear on my tires and the mileage. He showed me the wear through the chart in the building and that was helpful for a visual. After the in processing, they took my car within minutes and rotated, balanced, and checked my tires and I was out of there in 20 minutes. I really wanted to like this place but after dealing with a issue on one of the four new tires I purchased, unfortunately I cannot. I didn't make it a quarter mile down the road when I realized something was wrong and pulled over to see but didn't notice anything unusual about any of the tires. After scheduling two rotations and balance two weeks apart soon after, they explained to me that all tires were fine. I knew this wasn't true because one of the tires definitely felt like it had some kind of a hump and was bouncing my vehicle around. Even after one of their guys drove it and said he too felt it they still couldn't explain it. I took it in to another shop for a front alingmeand still the same issue. It wasn't until I had someone follow me on the highway they could see one of my wheels bouncing slightly as if was vibrating while the others were normal. So here I am still stuck with this bad tire. You'd think that they would have found this being a tire shop and all. It's almost to the point I don't even like driving my vehicle now with the bouncing. Update: I felt it was appropriate to let the rest of the viewers of this post to know that I never got a call back from customer service. I finally replaced the tire and no more vibrating vehicle and rattling feeling through the steering wheel. Discount Tire don't give a damn and I can feel their middle finger being pushed into my face. I don't care about the free rotation anymore. I noticed my tire had a knot in it, and it had been a few years on the same tires so off I went in search of somewhere to grab new tires. I made a few calls and found discount tire and decided to check them out. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted and someone came out to check out my tire. They agreed, it was time for some new tires. Where Discount Tire stood out to me, was the service. The associate measured the tread on each tire, explained what the markings and dates meant on the tires, and went through each available tire they had in stock for my car and the pros and cons of each. They also have a satisfaction guarantee, and will replace the tire for free if something happens to it throughout the life of the tire.
