Ask for her, you won't be disappointed. She asked me specific questions related to my debt to income ratio such as rent, auto payment, gas, insurance and the like. They'll also ask why you need the loan. Within hours after getting off of the phone, I received a call back informing me that I was approved for $5K. I went to the branch location, signed some docs and the money was in my checking account the following day. (What I mean by 'Fair/Average Credit') One Main uses Vantage 3.0 to check your credit score. I'm around 650 with fairly new lines of credit which are all in good standing with flawless payment history and I have under 20% credit utilization. Not a big shock in Oakland Chinatown that they their staff would be multi-lingual, their specialty is working with the Asian immigrant communities. The family that runs the Bank has been active in the Oakland business community for decades and has gotten involved in different community groups and charities. They and Met Bank are a true pillar in the community, if you're looking for a smaller bank to put your money in, I'd recommend them.

I spoke to an agent from the Marin location who confirmed that this branch did notary only to be told in person they don't. I wrote in the comments, the reason I was coming in was for notary. Jason, did not contact me until 30 minutes before my appointment at 4 to inform me that the notary service wasn't available. I did not see the phone call until I arrived in person. He gleefully shared that the branch doesnt offer the service. It was very unprofessional on their behalf and inconveniencing for me. Had they called me to inform me they didn't do notary, I wouldn't have adjusted my schedule.
