I had a wonderful experience at this dealership. My 20-year-old son was in the market for a specific Acura Integra, and over the past couple of weeks, we had some not-so-great experiences at other dealers. Fortunately, we found the car he wanted at this dealership and completed the pre-approval process online to secure financing. Since we live in San Jose, it was going to be about an hour and a half drive to get there during the week. My son called ahead and spoke with Alex, who confirmed the car was available. When we arrived, Alex was nothing short of helpful and easy to work with. He allowed us to test drive the car on our own, which we really appreciated. Once we got back, the rest of the process was smooth and fairly quick thanks to the pre-approval. Thank you so much, Alex, for your amazing customer service! My son is absolutely in love with his new car.

My kids and I have been discussing replacing our minivan with a smaller car for years, but I loved my minivan (still do) and couldn't imagine parting with it. Over the past few months, my son and I searched for affordable used cars, test-drove cars, shopped around for a good trade-in price for the minivan, and even posted the minivan on Marketplace. Yesterday, as I drove off the High Street bridge and returned home to Alameda, instead of turning left, I drove straight to Diamond Auto's lot. I recognized my son's dream car by the enormous spoiler on the back. I took it for a test drive. I sat with Alex to discuss the price. Today, my son and I test drove the car. We sat with Alex to discuss the price and the warranty (3-months, which isn't much, but it's 3-months longer than any other warranty we were offered). We came to an agreement. I gave Alex the keys to my beloved minivan (which is now for sale, by the way), a lump sum on my credit card, and drove away in a sporty sedan. It wasn't just that we found the right car at the right price today. We found the right salesperson. Alex is supporting the local community as well as his own family. He negotiates directly and clearly. He speaks respectfully to middle-aged women and teenage kids. No gimmicks. No pressure. No confusing equations. Tell him what you need, and he'll tell you what he needs. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, no pressure. I enjoyed doing business with him. read more

Alex the owner greeted me upon first visit, was very courteous and professional. No need to haggle pricing, let me test drive the car for an extended time since it was a Sunday and could not get a PPI done, went to a friend that was mechanically inclined. Alex only buys good samples on his lot, my Infiniti Fx50 is already hard to find in the US, but pricing was more than fair, especially considering the clean sample this car was (maintained at the Infiniti dealer all it's life). I simply adore the car, feels like a 350z on matchbox wheels. Closest thing to a street legal dakkar rally truck! Here are a few photos. Best used car dealer I had to deal with, very positive experience, they even washed the car a second time even though it was already clean, while doing the paperwork. Highly recommended! read more

I had heard great things about Diamond Auto and about Alex, so when our family car finally gave up the ghost, my wife and I decided to check out their inventory. Their website made it easy to narrow our choices down to three cars before we even arrived, which helped take a lot of stress out of the process. When we got to the lot, the atmosphere immediately felt comfortable. Someone greeted us, let us know he was available if we had questions, and then gave us time to look around on our own. The lot was packed with cars, but the team cheerfully moved vehicles around so we could compare our options. They showed us practical features you don't always see on a spec sheet, like trunk space, rear AC vent locations, and USB ports, which really helped us eliminate some options. We test drove two cars, reviewed their deals, and met with Alex, who gave us his card. When we mentioned we wanted to look at other options they were completely understanding and didn't pressure us or ask for our contact information. We stopped by the nearby Toyota dealership since our old car was a Toyota, but the prices there were noticeably higher, even for used models. Two days later, we returned to Diamond Auto to try one more car. Alex even let us take it home to make sure it could handle our daughters' softball gear and our camping equipment. That extra step made a big difference. Once we decided it was the right fit, the financing process was quick and easy. We grabbed bagels next door while the paperwork was prepared, and less than an hour later we were driving home in our new car. It's been a month since we made our purchase and the car has been running great! We event took a road trip from Alameda to Portland and back. We are still thrilled with our purchase and will definitely return to Diamond Auto in the future! read more

I had questions, and Alex emailed me back almost immediately. I decided to visit the lot to see my unicorn in person, and she was really there-- and who doesn't like a beautiful drive in Alameda. Alex met me immediately, we discussed my questions, I took her (my unicorn)for a test drive (I think she liked me right away.) I never imagined that I would fancy a Toyota Prius, but the "V" in Prius V stands for "Very cool!" Alex invited me to sit, we talked about human realities, he took the time to discuss financial realities, and after a bit, we shook hands, and she (my unicorn!) was a member of my family! The BEST car buying experience my Wife and I have ever had...so simple, straightforward and smooth. No hard balling or trying to sell us something we didn't want. Showed us the Toyota we came to look at, answered any questions we had and let us test drive it. And the price on it was quite fair, so no need to really haggle over a price! Plus, he had noticed a tail light was cracked, so Alex ordered it to be replaced before we even looked at the car! And is replacing another one we found cracked as we were looking at it. Alex is the opposite of the stereotypical used car salesman is. I've been in the car business for 23 years and I've never seen anyone step up for his customers, community, or even strangers like this guy. He doesn't self promote, he doesn't tell everyone the good things he's doing, he is genuinely just a good guy. If you're looking for a used vehicle, you've got A LOT of choices in the Bay Area but no one will take care of you like this guy. read more

I ended buying two cars from this dealership a 2009 Toyota Corolla and a 2013 BMW X5. Alex was quick to sale me an overprice car, and I only had the car for a few months, and I had to do numerous repairs on both cars. DO NOT BUY CARS FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! Alex is dishonest , and in the long run will have you paying more in repairs for a car that is unreliable and will end up breaking down. read more

I made a call and the same repair that I was quoted as $480 at another local auto repair shop, Sebastian quoted me as about $250 dollars. And then the other repair of the right and left arms for some part of the engine that I was quoted as $1184 by the other Auto shop, Sebastian told me that it's normal wear and doesn't need to be repaired yet. Now it makes sense that the previous repair shop wanted to charge me $50 per bulb to put in when my bulbs went out on my car. So I went and got the bulbs myself at O'Reilly's and put them in myself the first time until I found out O'Reillys offers complementary bulb replacement. We simply can't say enough about Alex & Diamond Auto Sales! It would be easy to say we got a great car at a great price with excellent service. But that just wouldn't be enough. This place is truly special. Unlike anything we've ever experienced in the auto sales world. And we sensed it from the first moment we stepped onto the lot. Every vehicle was clean, quality, high end, bright and shiny. The selection, Mercedes, Audi, Subaru, BMW, hybrids, sedans, trucks, SUV's. No quick-sale jalopies on the back lot, every vehicle was first class, unique, popular, affordable and of the highest quality available in a pre-owned class. And then there was Alex. What a experience at Diamond Auto Sales. I made one phone call answered by Alex inquiring about my beautiful Cadallac SRX I'm currently sitting in writing this review. I told Alex what my situation was and I asked for a reasonable price out the door and he honored that price with no hesitation. I bought cars and have never ever had service like this before when I came back to pick up the car, my husband did not drive his car because his headlight went out on the way home from work. He asked Alex a question in general about where was the nearest auto store and Alex said what do you need? My headlight went out Alex said if I have one here you can have it Alex did not have one in stock. Surprise me and my husband and sent his employee to buy one valued at $40 and surprised us and saw it right there on the desk. Now, where will you get Services like that from? I had a very good experience here! I came here to get a Pontiac GTO and Alex and Julian did everything they could to finance me! They stayed after hours to get me approved and work out a very good deal, from the time I walked in the office they presented me with car fax and all the paperwork for the car that the previous owner had obtained, they are very professional and they work with you to get you approved even if they have to stay a little bit after hours. We are new parents, with an eight-month-old baby, looking for a reliable car. Our experience at Diamond Auto Sales has been exceptional. Julian Jones showed us around the lot and was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. When we came upon on a 2004 Mercedes Benz E320 Wagon, it was in the midst of getting the suspension repaired. We were impressed by the low-mileage and spotless interior. The price was just above blue book, but it was in beautiful condition. We had auto financing set up with our credit union. Julian jumped through all the hoops the bank required and worked patiently with us throughout the process. The truly exceptional part of the experience was when the airmatic suspension system was showing signs of a leak. Diamond Auto Sales replaced the entire suspension system. We also had a list of small repairs that had been recommended by another local repair shop. And while the mechanic at Diamond was fixing the suspension system they also took the time to take care of a few of these small adjustments (just because we had asked) and at no cost to us! Bought My Son's first car there (Mazda Protégé 2002) 3.5 years ago at Diamond.. Made a good fair deal for both parties, no haggling, no bs, and got out of there in 45 minutes. Car ran good ,as advertised still runs good, all we did was put new brakes on and a thermostat. We just bought a new car for my wife, so we decided to give our son her old car and attempt to sell the Mazda. So Instead of going through the hassle of selling it myself I took the car back to Diamond to give them a shot first. Alex Dimant recognized me and the car,(he originally sold it to me) we joked about it no longer being under warranty, he ran the Kelley values (which I had checked prior) and the range he gave me was exactly what I had researched. He told me what he could give me which was right in the middle of the range which was very fair, and within 20 minutes I was out of there. I will most definitely go to Diamond first, next time I am in the market for a used car or want to get rid of one. I came in here a few weeks ago after going to other dealerships in search for a car that I didn't think would be such a big deal to buy. Well, apparently it was a big deal, at least at the other 3 lots I went to. I wasn't looking for anything special, I just needed a simple car with seat warmers. I decided this lot would be my last stop of the day even if I didn't find anything. I came in and was greeted by the owner, Alex. He was nice and cordial without making me feel like all he wanted to do was sell me something that I wasn't looking for. Unlike the other 3 places I visited before coming here, when Alex asked me what I was looking for and I said "something simple, but I really want seat warmers," he took that into understanding that THAT is really all that I'm looking for. He showed me what he had on the lot that came with seat warmers, which made the entire process stress free since Alex actually listened to me and stayed on track with my want for this specific feature. About an hour and a half later, I left the lot in a silver TL and my butt has been warm ever since. =) read more

I've been buying and leasing cars for over twenty years, and my experience buying a Tesla from Diamond Auto Sales was truly refreshing. After browsing the website, we found a Tesla we liked and scheduled an appointment, which was super easy. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by name and immediately felt welcome. I know it's a dealership and friendliness is expected, but here, there was no pressure--no hard-selling tactics. We were shown the car, told about its history, the previous owner, and why it was being sold. They even provided the Carfax report (a must-have!) and patiently answered all our questions, leaving us completely free to make our own decision. Personally, I can't stand pushy sales tactics; if I feel pressured, I walk away. But here, we felt at ease. We chose to purchase, and again, we were given options to either finance or pay in full, both of which were straightforward to arrange. What a wonderful experience at Diamond Sales. I finally bought the car of my dreams, my Audi A6 2005. The car was in great condition with pretty low mileage. When I came in to the shop I was a bit worried, after all it's my first time car purchase. The sales man -Alex- came up to me with great smile and asked all the right questions, which made things so much easier for me to decide on and most importantly, I felt no pressure ! The process was quick and easy. Since its -european- car, I had couple of technical questions, so I called the next day and the sales guy patiently spend good 15 minutes with me on the phone to make sure that I get all my questions answered. I purposely waited for a while to write this review just to make sure that the car was indeed running as they promised, and sure enough it is as smooth and as healthy as it was the day I bought it. I never imagined that I would write in praise of an auto sales company and a car salesperson. The experience at Diamond Auto Sales in Alameda, and dealing with Alex in particular, was so refreshing that I feel compelled to write this review. There was none of the usual pressure to buy. Alex was incredibly helpful in terms of dealing with our situation, including putting us in touch with an insurance agent and being very patient while we sorted out everything. Regarding the vehicle we purchased, Alex was very open about one minor issue that we would need to take care of eventually and without asking he reduced the price of the vehicle to cover the expected future repair cost. Speaking of the price, Alex showed us that it was priced well below the Carfax recommended retail price and seeing that Carfax report also gave us confidence in the quality of the vehicle. We are delighted with the vehicle and the whole experience. We will certainly be buying again from Alex and have already recommended him to our closest friends. read more

The best and easiest car buying experience my wife and I ever had, I am not kidding! I want to start off by apologizing to Alex, Julian and Gene for taking so long to write a review. These guys are honest, up-front and more than fair! For Christmas last year, I bought my wife a Range Rover Sport from Diamond Auto Sales. Alex gave us a SUPER GOOD PRICE for the Rover! He'd just received the Rover a few days prior to us coming to his car lot. Alex told me a new part for the compression is due to come in that week and he'll call us to bring back the Rover to install the part for free. The part came in and we brought it back to him and he installed the part, ran a full diagnosis check and tested everything to make sure it was functioning perfectly before calling us to pick it up. The Rover runs like a champ! MY WIFE LOVES HER CAR! I for sure will buy another car from them, no doubt. I strongly recommend everyone reading this to buy from them! Ok, so I am not going to lie, I absolutely hate car salespeople. Just the thought of having to go car shopping and deal with those blood sucking leeches makes me want to poke my eyeballs right out of my skull, but at Diamond Auto, Alex was different. From the minute I walked on the lot I felt comfortable with Alex. He allowed me to look around at the cars without hovering over my shoulder and asking a million questions. When I had questions though, he was right there and giving me honest answers. Not the usual sales rigamaro that you would expect from a car guy. His focus was not to stuff me into a car and get me off of his lot, but to sincerely answer my questions and address my needs. His selection was great and I was able to find a car that fit my budget and my needs. The car was so fairly priced, that I didnt even feel the need to negotiate. A dear friend of mine had his car stolen and he found an beautiful Audi for sale at Diamond Auto Sales. Our experience with Alex, the owner, and all of his business associates was absolutely lovely. Very professional and kind people. They do not give the typical "used car salesman" vibe at all! All of their inventory are high end, very reasonably priced luxury and other affordable vehicles. They let us take the Audi to a mechanic for a few hours to have it checked out and it was perfect with a few minor things that needed to be fixed, which they quickly repaired and sent us on our way with an affordable, beautiful, reliable card. I will be coming back to see Alex when I am ready to by myself a car. I cannot give them a more high recommendation.
