Florida roll no salmon extra crab
Melinda H.

This was the worst sushi restaurant I have ever been too. First off the minute you walk through the door it smells like sewage. I should've left then. Okay then we order 1 roll it was called the Florida roll. We substituted the salmon for extra crab. We split the roll and I think we ate 2 pieces out of the whole roll. It tastes like mayo. It was not good at all. We also ordered eel sauce which was not that. It was thick like paste and brown. Then we ordered the spicy mayo and it tasted like straight mayo. Anyway 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Maki Boy is everything you want in a simple Asian meal. The portions are huge, the food is excellent, and the entire place smells awesome! The fried rice dishes might need a pinch of salt or msg, but the textures, flavors, and oils are wonderful. The spicy pork might be the best thing on the menu. Tofu costs $3 extra as of November 2023, but there are vegetarian dishes even without tofu. Service is pretty lacking but that's their business model. You have to order at the front, then find a table in a very small area, and a cook will bring out your food. Nobody will ever check how you're doing minus water refills. That aside, it's an excellent place and I'd eat here any time!

What a beautiful surprise! At first glance, I didn't think our experience was going to be fantastic, but what an incredible evening. The ambiance. The service. The food. All of it was amazing! The ordering process was great, but would've love to see a menu sooner rather than at the counter. Seating is first come first served, but service was fast and helped turned tables. Food was fresh, tasty and honestly a hidden delight! We will be back!

The service was nice and they have unlimited side broccoli and cucumber, which the broccoli tasted pretty good with a hint of peanut butter. I don't think their chicken bowl worth a try at all. However, their price is extremely good for the quality of their sushi. The sushi was tasty and filling.

OMG!!! You must go!! So so good. People are very nice. Very small and intimate. Usually a pretty good crowd too. I had California roll and shrimp tempura roll and Bolgogi. Amazing

Spicy Pork Bulgogi

We LOVE sushi and Makiboy has some amazing rolls!! We loved the Shimp Fire roll and the monster roll. Also had the spicy pork bulgogi and spicy chicken ramen which were fantastic. Also super quick service!

Oh Maki Boy how you've fallen. The past 2 times I've ordered, you have not met your previous delicious standard. The gyoza was flat, soggy, and lukewarm. I wasn't impressed with the quality of fish used on the rainbow roll. I order the same thing pretty much every time, and the issues are the same. It makes me sad.

Went to Maki Boy the other day! We got kimchi fried rice and an eel dish. I really enjoyed the eel dish. The flavor was very good. The kimchi fried rice was good but I thought it would be better topped with sriracha. (Sriracha costs extra) I will definitely go again and try some other dishes!

Prices are great and I love that you can get half rolls but the quality of Sushi is mediocre at best.

Very small place. Not great for a group lunch. Food is good though! It's more like a self serve place.

The food is amazing. I really wish we had a place this good where we live. The katsu and chicken bowl are great and so is the sushi.

What a cool spot! My partner and I were looking for a good late night spot and Dansungsa checked…read moreoff all the boxes! It's an unassuming location but once you step through the doors you're met with ambient lighting, wooden table tops and benches. We arrived around 11 and were greeted immediately; sat within 5 mins. Once sat, you scan the menu to order. There's plenty Korean and Asian fusion dishes to choose from. We ordered a number of things and everything was fresh and plentiful. I'll say the standout was the bulgogi and lemon pepper wings. Also, the fries were stellar! Needless to say we'll definitely be back!

When I walked in, the place was empty. I stood at the "Please wait to be seated" sign for way longer than necessary--especially since there were no other customers. I finally peeked in and saw two employees busy counting receipts and money at the register. (Bad Impression #1). After being seated, I was actually enjoying the music until I felt something sticky on my forearm. It was a stray bean sprout left on the table (Bad Impression #2). To make matters worse, the tables are incredibly low. Even at my height, I had to hunch over the entire time. I eventually gave up on table manners and just held the rice bowl up to my face to eat comfortably. Regarding the food: it was a bit salty. The kimchi fried rice was average, but the kimchi stew really missed the mark. That was the moment I realized this is a fusion spot, not authentic Korean. It wasn't horrible, but it's definitely different from the real thing. BUT, can we talk about the massive portions? (Good Impression #1). Everything is clearly meant to be shared. The service was actually good. They have a buzzer on the table for service, which I loved. It saves you from having to track down a waiter. (Good Impression #2). The ambiance is loud, poppy, and "hip." You better like K-pop if you're coming here. It's not a first-date spot because it's hard to hear each other, but it's a solid place to hang out with friends who like the genre. Will I come back? Not actively. But if someone else suggests it, I won't fight them on it.

You place your order on a electronic tablet. We ordered the Sizzling Lau Sausage, Crispy Zaap Wings, Pad Kee Mao and the Mango Sticky Rice. We ordered all of our items to go. When I took our items out of our bags when we got back, I was amazed at the portion size of the Pad Kee Mao because the weight of the container was SUBSTANTIALLLLLL!!!!! All of our items were out of this world fantastic but I have to give a big ole shout out for that MANGO STICKY RICE! This was first time to have it and my husband and I both enjoyed. I appreciated the variety of Thai and Lao items on their menu and would like to come back and try some other things. They had a lot of customers coming in and out with to go orders. You can tell this is very popular for lunch for folks who work in the area. I can understand why. All of the food is so fresh and piping hot. Oh and the chalkboard art is MAGNIFICENT!!!! I love it so much that i took more pictures of that than our food! I did, however, get a pic of the mango sticky rice because I had to try it immediately when we got back. WOWOWOWOWOWWWW! They have quite the menu and offerings but for my visits, I typically stick to their sushi menu. On my first trip, the restaurant was so busy there were only three open tables. The second time I went, I chose to go later in the afternoon on a weekday and my friend and I had the place almost completely to ourselves. The atmosphere is very nice here where I think it would be good for a small group or a date. It has the right balance between an intimate classy establishment and a casual meet up place for a few friends. I went around Christmas time and the decor was really cute and not overdone. The food was amazing, and I would say it was reasonably priced. My dad loves this place because of how healthy fish is and that he can eat it with his special diet plan due to medical reasons. I have also tried the crystal roll (no rice), eel, and tuna, all of which were amazing. I absolutely plan on visiting again.
