Edoko Omakase is a sushi restaurant in Irving-Las Colinas. It's a fantastic restaurant with great service, creative dishes, and in a convenient location if you live and work in the area. It's one of my favorite spots and this is my updated review. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Edoko has a full-service bar, a sushi bar, and several types of seating. My most recent visit was on Valentine's Day, so the restaurant was full of couples out on a romantic evening. It's a cool, modern space accentuated by natural wood tones and dark seating. 1 Star. Service - The service is the best. The management team is excellent, as are all the servers. They are very attentive, and everyone is there to help. This is a well-trained, well-run staff. 1 Star Food - The omakase will vary each night, so I want to highlight my recent favorites from the menu. Start with Chasu with Poached Egg. This is a tender pork belly that's almost like a small steak. The beer braised pork is super tender and is paired perfectly with the delicate soft egg. It's a great flavor and texture experience. The volcano roll is also one of my favorites. A California roll is topped with baked crab and scallop garnished with crispy sweet potato. The crispy sweet potato is what makes the roll so great. It's like micro sweet potato fries get to hang out with their seafood friends and you get to benefit. 2 Stars, Will I Return? - Yes. Edoko Omakase is not just a great sushi restaurant in Irving-Las Colinas, it's a great restaurant in all of DFW. If you've never been, it's worth a visit. As for me, I will definitely be back. 1 Star.

Oh my goodness! We are in sushi heaven! Everything is so fresh, bite sized and lovely. Their pickled wasabi is perfect and their hot saki has just the right nutty flavor.

Nice spot in a good location. , Great service, with great food, just a bit pricey. Would love if they had happy hour!

The food was tasty, but the price is on the high side, I can't said much about the portion... but, CS was good,

Definitely a higher-quality, higher-priced Japanese / sushi option in Irving. $100+ a person and you're not going to leave full but you will leave satisfied. Quality of what they offer is great. Service is helpful / friendly. Atmosphere nice once you find the place tucked behind the main road next door to an LA Fitness. Check out Cafe Hana next door if they're open!

Since they opened back in 2020, I've become a regular for their lunch. Their food is absolutely amazing every time I stop by. My usual order is the lunch bento box, as I usually get either the nigiri or the sashimi bento. The food is served in a traditional wooden box and is very well presented. I typically get the tuna roll to accompany the sushi pieces and everything always tastes super fresh. The staff is super friendly and very attentive to their customers. Highly recommend and I'll continue to be a regular.

This place has good food but it's more of a high end fine dining experience so expect to pay a bit more than your typical sushi resturant. I was the only one there as they had just opened for the day and food/Service was extremely quick for obvious reasons. Food was really fresh but damn it was kind of pricey. I think as the title explains itself, it would probably only be worth it to go here for the omakase experience. I ordered a tuna avocado roll, tartar, and pork belly bun with an alcoholic yuzu I think and it was almost $70. Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 but biased because it wasn't that busy yet. Ambience: 5/5 beautiful and modern on the inside Maybe I'll return for the omakase experience!

What a wonderful experience we had tonight! Omakase for our table! I think what made our experience wonderful was our server Vanessa! She was very attentive and explained each item thoroughly! This is definitely for a special occasion, since it's super pricey but we'll worth it! See pictures, and go taste for yourself. Also get the uni shots! Best we ever had!

I was super excited to eat here again. The first time was delicious and I've only been craving more of the rich flavors of the freshest ingredients. The ceviche roll had me ready to explore more new flavors and build off my love for the hamachi kama (grilled yellowtail collar with roasted shishito yuzu garlic sauce). The hamachi kama (grilled yellowtail collar with roasted shishito yuzu garlic sauce). Our server Vanessa recognized us from our first visit and immediately I felt welcomed. This establishment is perfect for special occasions and a spot to really treat yourself to a gourmet experience. I learned you want to be classy here (the setting is upscale). Be sure to review your etiquette for omasake dining, and enjoy the chefs' skills to guide you into trying new things. My second experience began with a classic miso soup which had perfectly soft tofu and was bursting with flavor. Next, the sweet miso glazed king trumpet mushroom blew me away with its robustness accompanied by truffle oil and complemented with nori garnish, a spice blend on the side, and an even spicier scallion and horseradish dollop for those who like it hot. Lastly, but not at all the least, the pure vegetarian roll satisfied my craving for a reimagined salad. This roll is a genius design. The pure vegetarian roll was sweet, it was savory, it had a zing to it; and with so much happening in each bite there was intention and harmony. I found a new favorite roll. I was satisfied and had no ability to enjoy a dessert, but I cannot wait to visit again for a drink and dessert. Maybe next time rather than getting a table, I'll go to the bar seating and watch the chefs at work.

Super high quality sushi in las Colinas. This place is very high quality and service is great. I came here on a random Saturday evening with our four year old and my partner. The place was not crowded but we did make a reservation online before arriving. We were promptly seated and checked out the menu. We quickly ordered the chicken karage, pork buns, and some edamame. We also got a couple of cocktails. I got their odoko old fashioned and we also got the leeche martini. The old fashioned was made with toki whisky and they used some super fancy Japanese ice!! I was beyond impressed to see such a well executed cocktail in the burbs. I opted for the chef sashimi platter and my partner got a spicy himachi roll. All were delicious but the salmon was the highlight on the chef sampler. Super nice presentation. The pork belly buns were on the dry side so that's the only thing I wish was better executed. The place is on the pricy side but not something I'd complain about given the quality. Just something to know when going in (one pieces of sashimi or nigiri is $5-12 depending on the cut).

I LOVE sushi and have been wanting to try this place out for awhile. It's very cute inside. I made a reservation because I had no idea how long the wait would be around dinner time. There wasn't very many people in there. Which is fine for me. Servers are very quick and kind. I think the prices here are very affordable, and a really great place for sushi!

I'd say that if you're coming to a place with "omakase" in its name, you should probably get sushi. While they do have a few hot/cold plates and some non-sushi dishes, this restaurant is primarily known for drinks and sushi. We enjoy the spicy tuna rolls the most here, though honestly, it's not our favorite sushi place. Surprisingly, we've found the karaage is the best tasting and best value. It's quite pricey here, with the cheapest rolls coming at $6 and most items costing about $16-18 and the omakase $100. However, consistent with the pricing, the quality of the food is quite high, so I'd say if you're wanting some fine sushi dining, Edoko is a good option. For some reason (perhaps due to location), it's almost never been crowded when we've gone here, usually at night. While we've never gone during the day, they do have a nice bento selection for lunches, which seems enticing and affordable.

The Ramen broth is simple; it's not a layering of deep flavors like those found in other ramen places, which leads me to wonder if it's made in-house or purchased. On this trip, we tried some of their chicken offerings. While the chicken bento and chicken Katsu were better than the Ramen and sushi, they still weren't amazing by any means. The staff are likely well-intentioned, but they really amplify the disappointment and create discomfort. The moment you sit, they hover, pressuring you to order while still scanning the menu. The room is cramped; tables are packed so tightly that shifting your chair risks bumping the diner behind you. This is semi-acceptable if the place is packed, but it's not. The waitress insists on putting people next to each other instead of spreading them out a bit. At one point I briefly sat on the bench to help my child and the waitress took my chair away, it was uncomfortable and just odd to put it mildly. Food - I went with Pacific Table's special of the day: blackened redfish with creole sauce and a vegetable. WOW. This dish was a homerun. The fish was tender, well-seasoned, and the sauce added a creamy component that reminded me of the bayou. As a bonus, my sauteed spinach that I chose as my side was equally delicious.
