The omelette was especially good--light, fluffy, and finished with a nice touch of salt and chives. Their hot sauce was amazing too, and I loved it on the eggs. One thing I really appreciated was their $35 prix-fixe-style option, where you can choose as many items from the menu as you want and they serve them in smaller portions. That was such a great option, especially for an expensive DC brunch, because it let me try several things without committing to full-size entrées. The bread basket was also tasty, and overall the food and experience were great. I did remove one star because I indicated that I cannot have fresh garlic due to a dietary intolerance, but some of the bread contained visible pieces of fresh garlic. Unfortunately, I had already eaten some before realizing it. I know accommodations can be difficult, but I would have appreciated a heads-up about which items contained fresh garlic so I could avoid them.

Shout-out to Wynter for her EXCELLENT service. BEAUTIFUL restaurant. A little smaller than what we expected but GREAT use of space. EVERY cocktail, app, and entree were noteworthy ... from the presentation to the taste! Check out the pics. The standouts for me were the deviled eggs, Espresso martini, and short rib croquettes. FYI: The sweet corn waffles are savory, not sweet. A tad on the expensive side but still looking forward to experiencing a HH here.

Our server, Quintin Smith, insured that the birthday girl's dinner was memorable. He was extremely personable, offered helpful suggestions based on his personal experience, checked on us frequently, and ensured that she received a complementary birthday dessert. Jula's has upscale decor, with amazing views, especially when seated on the outside patio. They are on the top floor of the building, have garage parking that's reasonably priced, and plenty of signage, making them easy to find. We enjoyed taking photos in front of the grass wall outside the entrance, and all staff was extremely friendly. I ordered the Creole Shrimp Linguine, as suggested by our server, which was delicious. So much so, that my friend took half of my pasta to mix with the plain noodles that came with her Crispy Chicken Paillard meal. Our drinks were delicious, so I highly recommend them. We ordered the Belaire Blue Mimosa and Lavender Martini - both a 10 out of 10! If you're looking for nice atmosphere, spectacular views, and great service, visit Jula's on the Potomac and ask to be seated with Quintin Smith!

8:30 pm Reservation for two ‍‍…read moreServer: Man Bun Drizzle night out. This was my first time here at Julas. We had a reservation but came a little early to sit at the bar and gossip. Can you believe there was a baby sitting at the bar? Yes , a baby no more than 12 months old eating fries drinking a shot of apple juice. I almost took a picture of this phenomenon but their parents would not have approved. The parents were also an interesting couple. An Ethiopian and an Asian woman. I've never seen that combination with a child sitting at the bar. Anyways, this night was having a weird start. We sat at the bar for a drink . I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir by Evolution. This wine has nice legs . I made the mistake of looking for wine on the bottle list and baby they have $600 dollar bottles of poison at this bar ! Very fancy. My friend had a cocktail not sure which one it was but he didn't like it very much. The bartender put a cinnamon stick and dried orange slice in it, not sure if that helps. When our table was available a nice young lady met us at the bar and escorted us to the dining room. It was very noisy like a cafeteria . We felt more comfortable next to the boss baby at the bar. At least she was quiet enough for us to have a conversation. The food took longer than we expected. We ordered 3 appetizers. Brussel sprouts, duck egg roll, and the fried short rib balls. We had 2 rounds of the starting 3 apps. The duck egg roll was the . The Brussel sprouts were the supporting actors. The fried short rib balls reminded me of fried beef stew. I always order the sides when I'm new to a restaurant and I was not impressed by the carrots. They were served in their natural shape but shaved down . Perfect for bugs bunny. I'd rather mine were chopped in little circles so I can eat like a laaaaady. Not to mention they were still Raw at the core. We sent them back and asked for truffle fries. The fries took forever AND were undercooked. Soggy , oily ... WTH. How do you mess up French fries ? An air fryer could have done a better job with the fries and carrots. Those two mistakes made me lose confidence in an entree. Maybe I'll travel for a brunch experience but I dunno . ‍

The food was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared, and the cocktails were exceptionally well mixed. I tried both the Cherry Blossom Sangria and the Orange Old Fashioned, and each was delicious and nicely balanced. Rather than ordering traditional entrées, we decided to sample several items. The Garlic Parmesan Wings were a standout--the Parmesan appeared to be freshly shredded, which gave them a noticeably fresher flavor than the typical pre-packaged version. The wings were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed the dip and the Chicago Beef Pizza, both of which were flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The service made the evening even more memorable. Monique and Alex were both attentive, personable, and welcoming throughout our visit. Monique, in particular, added a thoughtful personal touch when she commented on how much we seemed to be genuinely enjoying one another's company. It was such a kind observation and a beautiful reminder that, as friends, we don't always get enough opportunities to simply sit together, laugh, catch up, and enjoy the moment. Between the quality of the food, the well-crafted drinks, and the warm service, Joe's Thighs delivered a wonderful first impression. Nothing felt rushed or mass-produced; everything tasted fresh and intentionally prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will definitely be returning for football season. Prices were extremely reasonable and cost efficient. And a special thanks to Antwan for checking on our experience at our he restaurant and encouraging us to come back during the season. Because of these experiences and exceptional service from Antwan's welcome when we entered, the food & drinks the ladies impeccable service, and his recommendation when leaving, we are sure to return!!!!

The bartenders were incredibly friendly and even let us sample a new cocktail they were experimenting with, which was a nice touch. The drinks we ordered were both strong and well-balanced. This was also my first time trying escargot. They serve it deshelled and topped with a flaky puff pastry, which definitely made it less intimidating for a first-timer. It was rich, buttery, and a great introduction to a dish I'd always been hesitant to order. For our meal, we shared the burger and the calamari. The burger was good but didn't really stand out, while the calamari was the surprise favorite. It had a nice crispy texture with just the right amount of heat. For dessert, we tried the rice pudding and the crème brûlée. The rice pudding was light, creamy, and not overly sweet, which I really enjoyed. The crème brûlée, however, was a bit of a mixed bag. The caramelized sugar layer was so thick that it was difficult to crack through, and I ended up lifting it off and eating the custard on its own. The custard itself was slightly runnier than I expected, but it was still rich and flavorful. Overall, I really enjoyed the atmosphere, the friendly service, and the cocktail program. I'd definitely come back for happy hour and to work my way through more of the menu.

Main course choices of sea bass and mussels were delightful w texture and flavors that were welcoming and filling. The bar is a dynamic center point for the restaurant with high ceiling and lots of natural light pouring into the space. The space can handle large crowds and there are private spaces available. We were in on a late Sunday afternoon and the setting near the window gave us a great view of the well maintained streetscape. We enjoyed a pre dinner Manhattan that was straight up and so refreshing. Polina recommended a Sauvignon Blanc and a Chardonnay that really complimented our main course selections. Parking is plentiful in one of Crystal City's many parking garages and the streetscape is welcoming and smartly designed with colorful plantings.
