Got the lemon slice! The cake itself was moist with a hint of lemon flavor was expecting more of a citrus kick but was satisfied. The frosting was very sweet so it blended well with the cake as contrasting taste

I stop here sometimes after work when I feel like I've had a rough day and want to reward myself with a sweet treat. There are so many options, so I can reward myself with something taste like 20 different times. It's a small shop, but the desserts have a BIG BITE. This is definitely a dessert you eat in your bed with your feet up. So far I've tried the carrot cake slice and red velvet cupcake, which were moist and uplifted my mood. Thank you guys for making my day better on days I thought it couldn't! Keep up the great work! And yes, I ate my cupcake on the train because I could not wait.

Make My Cake 409 W. 125th. St. New York, NY 10027 Key Lime Cheesecake This bakery certainly made my day when they served my cake. I definitely got the best of both worlds with a combination of key lime pie and cheesecake merged together as one. The tart, creamy cake chilled with chewy graham cracker crust on the bottom.

Service was amazing. I stopped here to get my girls some cupcakes because I was ordering some chicken next door. I walked in to a pleasant young lady with a warm bright smile on her face to ask me what did I need. There was also another young lady who was in there, I believe to be on her break. They just gave good conversation and great service. They did have some seats for you to sit down and enjoy your treats but I decided to order to go and I left happy with four delicious cupcakes and a cookie. Yes they make cookies too. The cupcakes were very good. They had a very homemade taste. Like if they were made in my own kitchen using fresh ingredients. For that Im a fan, luv, luv, anything homemade. I can see why this place is popular. Thumbs up for me.-Happy Yelping.

I am such a dessert girl and I remembered this wonderful bakery. My friend was visiting from the UK and we were exploring Harlem. It was a beautiful day and decided on some sweet treats. First of all, I love the flower decoration of the exterior. The interior is just as cute and cozy. There are a variety of cakes to choose from as well as cookies and pies. We settled on the lemon frosted cake. Upon arriving at home I was eager to eat the cake and it was absolutely perfect and delicious. The lemon flavor wasn't overwhelming, it was moist and fluffy and the filling was excellent. Please forgive the pics. Not my best but we had the cakes in a backpack and it got a little crushed. Nevertheless, I was delighted and enjoyed every bite. You must stop in and get a slice. Terrific bakery and service with a smile.

Obsessed!! My daughter loves their cupcakes so we go at least once a week for a cupcake. Red velvet is my fave that cream cheese frosting is legit. However I'm here to talk about their chocolate cake. I ordered a 10 inch chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream frosting for my son's first birthday. The ordering process was simple and I thought the cake was decently priced for its size 80.00 for a 10inch cake. Budget friendly at least for me. The staff is always friendly and helpful if you are indecisive. Ok back to the cake. It was DELICIOUS! The cake part was soft and not dry. The frosting was good alittle sweet but nothing to the point you needed to chug water. Everyone at the party loved the cake and kept talking about it. Overall it's a great bakery and I will continue to order my cakes from there

OMG.....I can't say enough about this FAB-U-LOUS bakery. They just did a 25th company cake and omg the praises and likes that were well received. I already knew it as I have been ordering cakes from MMC for over 15 yrs. Thanks to Alliyah and Mya.

We decided to get dessert after dinner. We wanted to get some desserts from Make My Cake. The service was timely and the ambiance was bakery like (sweet Frosting). There were a variety of cakes displayed and purchased but the one that I got was the pineapple upside down cake. I took a quick picture before I ate it all.

During a recent trip to Harlem for a birthday party we ordered a cake from Make My Cake. It was so delicious. The chocolate cake was both beautiful and delicious. It was a hit of the party. Staff was super helpful and provided great customer service.

Wonderful quaint spot full of cake deliciousness. Purchased a slice of red velvet cake. Generous slice size and wonderful flavors with cream cheese icing with the perfect amount of sweetness. Great customer service.

I'm a sucker for their Red Velvet cake! Make my Cake definitely has the best Red Velvet cake in town. I've come on several occasions to grab a slice of cake or cupcake and their service disappoints. The staff are friendly and informative. The environment is warm and inviting. There's outdoor seating (if weather permits).

Make My Cake has the best selection of cakes that you can purchase by the slice. I love the cookies best because I can eat the cookie on the way home. This location in Morningside Heights @ West 125th Street is my favorite location. I definitely stop in for something special no matter which location I'm near. This one is far from my apartment but in a busy area of Harlem. It's definitely a all day trip when I visit this neighborhood. Customer Service is always tops! COBBLER - PEACH

I love Make My Cake. I am fortunate to live within walking distance of several bakeries in Harlem, and this is one of my three favorites. I alternate among them on my weekend errands, depending on what kind of desserts I'm in the mood for that week. At Make My Cake, my faves include the coconut pineapple layer cake, strawberry frosted cupcake, sweet potato cheesecake, apple or peach cobbler, key lime pie, and the coconut pecan cookies. I'll buy a cake slice or a cupcake and eat it over the course of 3 or 4 days. They stay fresh so every bite is a delight. Same with the cheesecake and the pie. The cobblers are huge so those last me through the week. And the cookies--I always get one or two on the side :-) The staff is typically local young folks as far as I can tell, who rotate somewhat frequently. It can get quite busy in there and I can see that they are sometimes feeling under pressure, but they maintain professionalism and reliable customer service. And with me, they are always especially kind and patient (could be my grays, signaling my neighborhood Auntie status haha). I love it. Store hours were hard to pin down when they first opened this location, but I think they found their rhythm now. Not once in the past few months have I walked over and found the doors locked and lights out during published store hours, nor have they been sold out of my favorites. A+

The Mango and Pistachio looked so realistic and mirrored the flavors perfectly. I love the size of their cakes which are perfect to share with a group of 4. I indulged in their Black Sesame Mochi Cake and Blueberry Chiffon Cake which both have the fluffiest sponge cake base, a fluffy vibrant cream, and fresh ingredients and fruit. Give their drinks a try too. I enjoy their matcha here! The Traffic Lights is a strawberry matcha with a mango cream top. It felt like items weren't made with care and mass produced at a factory or something. I went 10 minutes before they closed and there was still 10+ of each dessert. I'm not convinced that they will dispose of them. Even if they do, it means they didn't do a good job in forecasting demand especially after being in business for multiple years. I ordered mango and yuzu. Both were too sweet and had one dimensional flavor and textures, not refreshing per their stated flavors. Even if their appearances take effort, they don't look pretty enough for me to forgive what goes in my mouth. I'm used to having patisseries with many layers and elements. Mango's sponge probably only took up 20% of the bottom, because I barely had bites of it. Most of my bites didn't have any. I didn't like how liquid the filling was. It didn't exactly ooze out but just melted into a puddle in my mouth. Yuzu looks pretty with the pink and yellow glaze, but it didn't go with the realistic fruit theme. I chose it for the flavor combination which is strawberry, yuzu, and guava. This was slightly better in terms of flavor variety in the mouth. The flower on top had a weird off putting flavor. The bottom crispy rice apparently is supposed to be chocolate but it came out plain. It was tasteless anyway, so not effective in terms of flavor or texture.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

I had never heard of the place before, but I was happy to give it a try -- and I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels special. The store has two beautiful double doors that create such a grand entrance, and once inside, you immediately feel the energy. The place was bustling with people, and everyone seemed happy and excited -- from the customers to the team behind the counter and the baristas. The cookie case was overflowing with so many amazing choices that it was hard to decide! I ended up getting the Rocky Road cookie, a Double Chocolate Chip cookie, a Two Chip Chocolate Chip cookie, and a blueberry muffin to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The service was absolutely impeccable, and everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly, and delightful. When I got home, I had half of the Rocky Road cookie with a cup of tea, and it was incredible. The cookie was large and chunky but still perfectly enjoyable -- not heavy or overwhelming. It literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and every bite was just delicious. The next morning, I tried the blueberry muffin, and it was just as impressive. It was light and airy, not overly sweet like many blueberry muffins can be. It truly felt like a breakfast pastry. The blueberries tasted fresh and burst with flavor in every bite. I will definitely be back for more cookies. This was such a wonderful find, and I'm so happy my coworker introduced me to this place!
