Been going here for a few years! Love the service and the prices! After getting my wedding dress altered somewhere else, I came here to fix the mess the other people made! Why i didn't come here in the first place is beyond me! I totally recommend Jennifer, she knows her stuff! My husband also gets ALL his pants altered here! We are always happy with the end product! Thanks MIF for always doing a fabulous job! read more

Jenifer is amazing. She has done the impossible for me. I have brought her about 25 different things and she has altered every single one of them to perfection. I highly recommend her. read more

I called Make It Fit, and asked if they do wedding dress? Jennifer told me, their specialty is Wedding Dress, and I felt Jennifer have alot of experience on wedding dress. I also was referred by many of my friends of this place has excellent service. So, I give it a try. When I arrived, I was very stress out because the wedding day is around the corner. After Jennifer pinned, I felt confidence that Jennifer will take care of me, and my dress will be great. On the day to come for fitting, I was very happy, and I felt very good that my wedding dress is in good hand. On the day of pick up, I was very happy. Jennifer even offer me, before 2 - 3 days of my wedding, I can bring my dress, and she will press for FREE. Fabulous Service. I highly recommend everyone to come to Make It Fit for all of your favorite dress, suit, etc..., and make sure you ask for Jennifer. She offer an excellent service, and I thought she was the owner. read more

My wife and I were regular customers for years and have been generally satisfied but her most recent experience was horrible. We will NEVER go back and will tell EVERYONE we know not to go there. My wife recently brought in a brand new jacket in to hem up the sleeve. When she got it back, it was done poorly and asked to have the sleeves redone. When she got the jacket back the sleeves were fixed but the seamstress decided to take revenge and pluck out the decorative beads from all of the buttons. The jacket was brand new and was in perfect condition but she got it back from the store with the buttons screwed up. The owner called my wife and refused to fix the problem and denied any responsibility. Well, they've lost a regular customer and now I'm posting this to warn everyone on the internet about this store. Cheap or not, horrible customer service doesn't cover the cheap prices. read more

I took my daughter's Prom dress to Jennifer at this location. She is very precise and easy to work with. Compared to the last place we had alterations done, she really listens to your concerns. The dress is complicated, with hand beading and kind of stretchy beaded net straps, but she has been amazing. It was an expensive alteration, but no more than the other place we went, and she made my daughter feel so much more comfortable. read more

My daughter had Winter Formal last week. We found a dress on Friday around 2pm and drove to MIF in Tustin at 2:30. We asked Jennifer if we could have it altered within the hour because we were pressed for time. Jennifer, who is so kind and accommodating, agreed to do it and DID NOT charge us extra for the rush job. At 3:30, the dress was done as promised and the execution was perfect. MIF is amazing and the customer service is second to none! read more

The ladies at Make It Fit are phenomenal! I take dress shirts here every other week and the turn around time is amazing. You also can't beat the price! Highly recommend! read more

This place is horrible. I brought in a pair of pants to get hemmed about 1.5 inches and came back with a pair of highwaters. Avoid at all cost. They will destroy your clothes. read more

I bought an expensive pair of jeans that were only available in a 32 length, and I'm a 30. So I brought them in for a simple hem. They said it would take THREE DAYS. Ok, they're busy, I thought, and that's understandable. Three days later, I came to pick up my jeans to discover that they were only about 3 mm shorter than before (maybe a 31.5 in length?). The employee argued with me about it, and it was very difficult to get them to redo it. In fact, I had to pay half for them to do it again. FINE. I paid it. Three more days passed, and I went to pick up my jeans. This time, they were a size 28 length. Thanks guys, for ruining my jeans which are now unwearable because they only go to my ankles. Never. Coming. Back. read more

This place is awesome!!!! I have had several items altered here and I'm always pleased at the results. I've never had to go back twice to get anything readjusted. They do it right the first time! I've been coming here for 3 years and have recently learned that they also do dry cleaning. What an absolute convenience for busy people like me. Manager Jennifer is super friendly and helpful. The owner Roy is hands on and is very accommodating and always extends great customer service. Love how modern the interior is, and how clean their store is all the time. Definite 5-Star place! read more

Please DONT CAME TO THIS PLACE I'm doing a big favor to you is a bunch of liars and thieves, working here The asian manager Jennifer is very rude and unprofessional, they send coupons to try to bring clients for free, as soon as you present the coupon is a bunch of lies from Jennifer to try to avoid the discount when you present the coupon. She has different prices on the computer and she changes her mind every second about the prices, plus this is an extremely expensive place. Please don't came again we have a very bad experience here, we take a pairi of pants to alter and asked for the price at front, the red hair hispanic lady on the register told us from 16.99 to 24.99 dollars . We have a coupon for 5 dollars, however when the asian Jennifer came to do the alteration she said that was ok my husband told her is going to be 20 dollars she said yes. After she finish we went to the register to paid the 20 dollars and jthe asian jennifer changes again the figures on the computer telling that the regular price was 39.99 dollars and trying to make discount and avoid the coupon giving us the total of 29.99. A big lie, we try to talk to her and she start argue with us in very unrespectful way that we have to leave without to do the alterations for all the lies that she create. Very bad experience. Please safe your money there are so many alterations places that they can offer quality honestly and respect.is a very bad experience she likes to argue with the customers because also she got a commission from every garment that she alters that is the reason that when you bring the coupon is no convenience for her to take it because she will loose commission. We give it to this ugly place several chances but we won't tolerate any unrespectful answers from the asian manager jennifer. Also we want to talk the owner and she doesn't know any information for Roy or Eric, looks like she wants to do wherever is convenience for her pocket This place will run better with someone professional , honest and with management skills NO STARS SAVE YOUR MONEY YOU CAN GET BETTER PRICES AND BETTER QUALITY ALTERATIONS IN OTHER PLACES read more

Seriously the worst. They took in the waist of my skirt and when I picked it up, the bottom was horrible crooked. Like a witch skirt. She said she could fix the hem but at an additional cost. When I insisted that she fix it, she said "why would I touch the hem if I'm not getting paid?" She said the only thing she would do is take out the elastic and put it back the way it was. It's honestly not about the cost but that means I basically handed her 20 dollars to babysit my skirt. What a waste. I could have done a better job myself. If you do go to get the waist of your skirt taken in, don't expect the bottom to be even, that "costs extra". Luckily my skirt was inexpensive, I can imagine what she would do to my expensive things. read more

$15 for a simple hem for a dress. No lining, nothing special about the hem. Compete rip off! I'll never go back.

Brought my Army ASU dress blues to be converted from enlisted to commissioned (Green to Gold) and they did an AMAZING job. After a miscommunication and some items sewn on improperly, they re-did it with no charge (and I'm pretty sure it was explained incorrectly on my behalf). They've made me a loyal customer. read more

I had decided I was giving my bridesmaids a robe with their names on the back as gifts. Make it Fit in Brea recommended the Tustin branch for embroidery. They did my embroidery in 1 day and it was very reasonably priced. The girls loved their gifts and it looked so great. I had other brides all ask where I got them done at and this is the place. Make It Fit is a one stop shop for bridal, the Brea store offers the Couture Bridal boutique shop, where you can get your dress and the girls plus accessories. read more

I bought a suit for an interview and took it here to get it fitted. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the employee who helped me (he was male, and pretty skinny w/darker skin). I got it back and didn't try it on for a while, but when I did it was way too tight. I had the sleeves shortened and asked for original hem, so he had to take it in at the shoulders. But, he didn't compensate for the fact that sleeves get narrower, so my jacket is very tight in the shoulder region, making it very hard to lift my arms up. The pants are ok, but a little longer than I expected (even though I wore the same shoes when I went to get it taken in). I would have taken it back if I still had the receipt. Definitely going somewhere else in the future. read more

Not very friendly. I had a pair of jeans altered here and they came out with uneven length. It's running the 2 bucks basic hem promo, that's why I go back. Not recommended when there's no deal. read more

I've been coming to this location for 3 years. Customer service was never great but the prices were always very reasonable. This last year they were late on my dry cleaning and then hemmed a pair of pants an inch short. Again this week, my dry cleaning has not been ready and no refund offered. They used to always accept credit card but sometime in the last year or so imposed a $10 minimum. As a regular customer here, things seem to be going downhill quick... read more

Asked them to measure my boys and I for tuxes. I offered to pay but cashier refused. Said that they don't know how to measure men. All this while they were measuring another person for tix alterations. Stupid policy stupid attitude. read more

I came in to get an expensive dress shirt altered, which needed the sleeves taken in and shortened, the body taken in on the sides, and the front adjusted at the shoulders - this shirt needed to be rebuilt. Jennifer did a very conscientious, detailed job and scheduled a "fitting" to ensure her tailoring was perfect before making the final cuts. When I picked up the shirt, it fit like a glove - it is beautiful. Jennifer transformed the shirt from ill-fitting to skillfully crafted and flattering. I am very happy with the product - thank you, Jennifer! read more

I sent in 4 pairs of the SAME workout pants. AND I got 4 different lengths. Funny, no? I would laugh more if I didn't have to go back so many times for them to fix the error. However, I give them 3 stars because they did make the effort to try and satisfy me and the cost was reasonable ($4.95) per hem. Just don't get the 5 minute turnaround they advertise and don't give them your best clothes. read more

This place saved my daughter from having to look like a sack of potatoes in the junior bridesmaid dress my new daughter-in-law chose the size for! They fixed it perfectly! It seriously was 2 sizes too big (at least) and 6 inches too long. The smile on my daughters face said it all when she realized she would look like a teenager and not a big blue blob! read more

You get what you pay for! Until now I've only come in to get pants hemmed which are a good deal and they do a decent job. However I would never have more than a simple pant hem fixed. They can't handle it charge insane prices. And frankly demonstrated poor customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere read more

Thanks for a quick and great job. My mom needed her pants for my dads funeral. We'll be back. The rep was really nice.

Do not try to either pick up or drop off alterations on a Sunday. One employee serves all and unless you have lots of time to wait for 7 customers ahead of you, it is a very frustrating experience. If they are open on Sundays, they should provide customer service 7 days. read more

i love this place because they're fast. if you drop something off right when they open you can likely have it back that evening without having to ask them to rush. at most (like the time i dropped off 5 pairs of jeans all for original hem) it took 2 days. a little pricey for an original hem, and sometimes they'll charge you/do an original without verifying so pay attention when they ring you up! only had 1 problem ever and that was that a really young guy (whom I'd never seen before or since) fit a pair of jeans for me and they ended up too short. i had to have them made into capris!! read more

I went here for the first time the other day - I just dropped by because I needed some work on my Ugg boots and they were able to quickly fix them. Also, I thought it would be a rip off because of the location but they actually did the repair for a very good price. The best part was that she did them on the spot, which was great because I forgot to bring another pair of shoes! read more

It's not worth saving $5-10 for them to ruin your clothing. They hemmed a pair of my jeans too short & there's this strange triple wrinkle on the pant leg above the hem. Also, I brought a dress in there I wanted hemmed just below the ankle & when they finished it, it was halfway above my calf. Unbelievable! It's ruined. They acted like they were doing me a favor by giving me a refund when they should've reimbursed me for the entire dress. They typically only have 1 person working the desk too so wait times can be lengthy. Also, what's with the stapling of the receipt on the clothing tag? It completely tears it. Go somewhere else, take my word for it. read more

I've been going here for over a year now all my alterations have been spot on. Jennifer is always friendly and makes sure everything is done on time. read more

There is a seamstress working here named Jennifer - she is absolutely AMAZING! If you are lucky enough to get her to do some sewing for you, you will not be disappointed. I brought My mother of the bride dress literally a couple days before New Year's Eve. The store was super busy & I was asking to make a long gown into a high low dress. Jennifer was so detailed & really cared about making it look just right for me. She had me come back twice in between little tweaks she had to make so it would be absolutely perfect - which it was! She was an absolute angel! She did a fantastic job - the dress came out perfect & I received many compliments. The big take away here is that she basically remade the whole dress during a super busy time & produced something even nicer than I imagined. Jennifer really cares about doing a great job! She is just fantastic! read more

I recently moved to Tustin and had to find an alterations place. I've had some bad alteration experiences in the past so I'm always skeptical about new places. I came across Make It Fit and finally... I've found my "Go-To" place! First of all... as busy as they were, everyone was very polite and professional. They made sure they took care of everyone. The first person who helped me was Janet. SUPER helpful and gave me a nice first experience there. Took care of my husband's shirt and answered all of my questions for future alterations. I ended up going in the next day. I brought in more clothes to be altered. This time I met Jennifer. She is a pro! As she was adjusting my jumpsuit so she can pin it, she was giving recommendations and showing me different options to make sure I was happy with the fit. She made sure she got it just the way I liked it. By the way... this was an all white outfit and I JUST had a baby so I wasn't feeling my best. But even though I was a bit insecure about my body, Jennifer and Janet made me feel better. I am very happy with my experience so far. read more

Good for last minute alterations- not detailed as the tailor doesn't even come out. Both my jeans didn't turn out as I expected... Redoing them at a different place :/ read more

This place is amazing!! They always get it right! I always recommend this place to everyone I know. The seamstress is wonderful and skilled.

Absolutely love this place! I have had several items of clothing altered here, everything from a hem to a wedding gown alteration, and I have been impressed with their work every singe time. FABULOUS! read more

I had a great experience here. I took some dress pants in to be hemmed. After being measured, I was asked if I wanted to wait or come back. I waited and my pants were done in 5 minutes and it cost less than $6. That is good service :) read more

I brought in two pair of slacks to be altered. Other than having to wait a bit for someone to measure me (it was pretty busy that morning), I was very happy with the end resultnand with the turnaround on getting my slacks back. This place is a little gem. read more

In comparing Make It Fit with other tailor shops I have used, I am compelled to give it five stars. The employees are cordial, the service is quick, and the work is excellent. Recently, I had a jacket that needed not only the arm length shortened but the over length shortened which dictated that the pockets be moved. I was concerned that the jacket would end up looking altered but the work was so good, it looks as though it was originally made in my size. In addition, I found their pricing to be very reasonable. I highly recommend Make It Fit. read more

Have been there twice to get pants taken in. The first time I had to return because the waist band on one pair had not been properly finished. The second time I had to return because the belt loop on one pair of jeans was hanging loose. Also, many unclipped strings, etc. Over all, it's just OK. Sloppy workmanship, but they are fast. I am looking for another place. read more

I've had a few trousers and jeans altered by these guys and they were okay. But about a month ago I made the grave mistake of taking a pair of formal pants that were part of a more elaborate outfit to them. I simply wanted them to shorten them a little so I wouldn't trip on them. They were part of my wedding outfit, which traditionally is repeated for a sibling's wedding. They *destroyed* the pants. They shortened it diagonally and unevenly so that the inner seams were raised, which changed the entire shape of the pants. They were part of an outfit that cost me more than 1k. After spending four hours the day before I was flying out during which they just made it worse, I got fed up and left. I later called them to express my anguish and upset, showing them courtesy even in my anger. They had pre-charged me $60 for a simple alteration that they botched up. So they promised to refund me half the cost, taking down my credit card info over the phone. Knowing I was leaving the following morning, they simply didn't return my call or bother to follow through with the refund. My wedding outfit is destroyed, I'm out $60, and there's simply no accountability. I will never give them my business again. They had the cheek to blame the original tailoring, which was done by professionals under the watchful eye of a designer who personally tended to stitching my wedding outfit. If you want simple alterations, use them; but if you have something of value I would strongly advise to stay clear. Upon speaking to others I learned that other alteration places do not charge until the alteration is complete and done to your satisfaction. There is a reason they have three stars. read more
