I looked on Yelp yesterday and saw this coffee place near me I was surprised!!! Went this morning with my good friend . The first thing I noticed was the area lots of homeless! Went inside was comfortable. My friend got a scone and coffee and I got a coffee with skim milk was very good but the end was too strong I threw it out! I want to try it again but different coffee but I have to admit it was a little more expensive but for really good quality ! read more

We were passing through Everett and wanted to stop for a cup of coffee, and I must say we were not disappointed. Makario is highly rated, and for good reason. The service was fantastic, and the coffee was absolutely perfect. We ordered the Nutella latte and the caffe mocha and both were 10/10. The shop is also very cute and clean, definitely a nice place to hang out. read more

Consistent place. That's what makes a coffee shop great in my opinion. There is always plenty of street parking for 90 minutes to 2 hours for free I believe. Location is easy to find. Decent amount of seating for about 20-30 people. There are tables with 2 chairs and I think one larger section for a family or group. It's a Dutch coffee shop and they have traditional coffees. Flavor is always on point. I believe the owners are an Asian couple, because I've seen them the past 3 times I've been. They are honestly the most kind individuals. This also allows them to incorporate some delicious bites with Asian flavors. You'd be missing out if you came to Everett and didn't give this coffee shop a try! Today I ordered the Einspänner, which is a classic in Viennese coffee shops. This beverage is espresso with whipped cream or full cream on top. Their take on this is perfect! The actual espresso is perfect- not too bitter or sour. The cream is delicious and just the right amount to give it some sweetness without taking away from the star of the show- the coffee! I'd recommend this beverage for not only avid coffee drinkers, but just anyone who'd like to try a cup of coffee here. I wish I could make more precise recommendations, but honestly I haven't had an item here that left me feeling underwhelmed. Highly recommend this place. P.S. they do have one bathroom that's very clean. read more

I've been wanting to check this place out for a long time and I finally had the chance to recently. Customer service is excellent. The owners are very nice. Love the variety of coffees and other drink options. I like that they have specialty items. They all sounded great so it was hard to choose. Pastry options were great too. Love the decor and set up inside. It's so cute! I wish it was closer because it's a perfect place to get some work done over some yummy coffee and pastries. read more

I have never tried a matcha latte before but wanted to try it out so I got the matcha latte with added sweetness, and it was creamy and delicious! We also got the basil pesto panini and the bugogi panini, and both were amazing. The paninis were shared by two people, and they were the perfect size. I also loved the atmosphere and music, and will definitely be back to study there! read more

Great Mom and pop specialty cafe with a pretty laid back vibe. The flower latte is what caught my attention and it was a perfect sweet blend with a subtle floral taste that reminded me of a blueberry chocolate. My husband and I were shocked at the rich flavor of both our drinks and were huge fans of Cafe Makario. Their menu has a great specialty drink selection and their basic drinks are not even basic, they're better than most. We came around 11, and they close at 12 so most pastries were gone but they had some beautifully colored scones that looked very tempting. We asked for a strawberry scone to go and didn't look before we left that we accidentally got a different kind. Not sure what it was, kind of tasted like pineapple with really good frosting and it was delicious. The cafe is very spaced out and they have a small tables and a couch. When you enjoy your coffee there it is served in the most intricate cups and plates, perfect for a photo. Quite a few people had laptops out as well and it seemed like a chill spot to enjoy a fine cup of coffee. They also had ample parking spots directly in front. read more

Drove all the way to here from Issaquah just to try their coffee. Loved the Sumetra specialty coffee and Mt. Rainier! We also had honey cream cheese bagel at the cafe and my husband loved it. The vibe was so chill and calm, the owners were super nice and friendly, and drinks were so good! We ended up ordering einspanner and black sesame matcha as take out before heading back home. Einspanner was a bit sweet for my taste but was still good. Black sesame matcha is a must try! Definitely can taste the black sesame and was just enough sweetness. My new favorite cafe! The barista is so nice and the coffee was DELICIOUS! I got the Mt. Rainer and my friend ordered the Dutch Affogato, both were amazing. I haven't stopped talking about this place to everyone I meet and still can't get over how amazing my coffee was. Pre-Covid, I definitely would've loved studying there for hours and filling up on coffee. Currently, inside seating is still available and although the cafe is tiny, it doesn't feel suffocating. The door is kept open so there is good airflow as well. I can't wait to go back and bring other people. Highly highly recommend! read more

Wow, I had the BEST mocha I've ever had in my life here today. First time here, I brought my toddler which I wouldn't do again- it's a more adult atmosphere which makes sense being downtown, but I would definitely come back again for a to-go mocha. Everett's best cafe for specialty coffee! Delicious and strong coffee with each cup handmade with love and care! You can really taste the quality and effort they put into it. Cafe Makario is a cute cafe in Everett, with a good amount of indoor seating, and a clean bathroom. Their menu includes over 15 specialty lattes, Dutch coffee (cold brew), tea, drip coffee, and more. They even have bulgogi breakfast/lunch items. I got their popular Einspanner, a subtly sweet, cream topped latte. It was delicious, with perfectly balanced rich, nutty espresso and smooth cream. I also got a Mixed Berry Scone, which happened to be vegan. It was packed with juicy berries, and had a nice delicate crumb. The owner was genuinely friendly. Worth a stop! read more

Stopped in for a quick visit with my family and little kiddos. Small atmosphere but it is so cute! So inviting, and comfortable! Ordered an iced chai, which came with the best whipped cream on top. If you order in house, they'll serve it in a glass cup. So good, and quick service! I can't wait to try it again. read more

I am still thinking about how good my Einspanner here was. Never had nor heard of it before but yelp made me curious. I was thankful I was able to call in an order within 5 minutes of their closing and they happily made it for me. It was ready when I arrived and immediately upon entering, I felt welcomed in the cafe. Space is cute, owners are friendly and drinks were interesting and so good. After taking a sip, I already wanted another one. The house made whip cream was delish and neither Espresso nor cream overpowered the other, but rather enhanced each other. Not too sweet either. I'll definitely have to come back for more :) read more

I had high hopes for this shop after the amazing reviews. I had the black sesame latte and the bacon/chive scone. First, the overall appearance of the restaurant wasn't what I expected. There was a lot of stuff behind the counter. It was an eye sore given it lacked organization. I kept thinking "I have to take this to go because the picture is sitting on the dining cups." The scone was super dry. I really liked the bacon portions but overall I just ate the bacon around the actual scone. Now to my drink.. I wanted to love it so bad!! The black sesame latte tasted like grass. I could taste coffee but the actual taste wasn't all the great. I'm glad I had the chance to try it once. In my opinion,there are better shops in the Everett area. read more

David offers almond, soy and rice milk. The teas are loose leaf and I agree with Anna T that the chai is the best I’ve had as well. The Dirty chai with almond milk is a go to for me. Also, the green tea latte with almond milk is amazing.

With decaf, I've come to expect that I will need the sweet treat to enhance the drink, but this coffee was absolutely as good as the amazing pastry, which is super, super rare!! It was Velton's Three Ravens Blend, the best decaf - by far - that I have had in more than a decade of searching. Three Ravens is completely delicious standing alone - which is what I've been searching for - and it harmonizes beautifully for the half-caf I like to drink in the mornings. I first emailed the business about which of their caffeinated offerings they would recommend for this, and Velton Ross got back to me right away with the friendliest, kindest reply and several very thoughtful suggestions. So far I've enjoyed the Bonsai Blend - an excellent and delicious accompaniment, just a slightly warmer, brighter profile when full-caf than is my preference - and I am going to order the Twilight Blend next. Although you cannot buy in person from their roastery, you can easily order from their site. They have lovely detailed descriptions of everything they offer, and shipping is very quick and very reasonable. They roast on Mondays and ship on Tuesdays, and I have always received my order (in Shoreline) by Friday, or Saturday at latest. There are also quite a few retail locations from Everett to the eastside - and even one each in Vegas and Montana! - where you can buy their beans and/or drink their coffee. I greatly appreciate that they took the time to list these on their site with detailed information about each establishment. So helpful for learning about local businesses I might have otherwise never come across. Online, you can purchase both whole bean and pre-ground for espresso and drip coffee. The drip coffee grind was a little too fine for my coffee cone method. So I experimented with whole beans and found that, for me, the flavor is perfect when I grind them one setting coarser than I used to use for other coffees. The best part of all of this, is that this is the first decaf I've ever been able to drink without a feeling of compromise, extra doctoring, or gaslighting myself into believing that it's good. Zero disappointment!! I can make a straight decaf cup any time of day and know that I'm going to love every sip. Thank you, Velton's!!

Had I taken a sip while walking I most likely would have dumped it on myself. The bacon breakfast burrito was good but light on the bacon. I broke open the burrito because I don't eat the tortilla and the bacon was hard to find.
