We walked to Makario but there is a lot of street parking available. They were training someone during our visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots of seating choices; we grabbed our drinks to-go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had alternative milks, so I had a black sesame oat milk latte. My coworker ordered a cold matcha drink and stated it was good matcha. They were busy, so it took the appropriate time for us to be given our drinks.

One of my favorite coffee places ever! I am so very lucky to have access to a coffee place like this so close! Located in downtown Everett, it makes a great stop for a day out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is very cute and and I often see people studying and working here as they have comfortable chairs, wifi, and good food to go along with their drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They offer a good variety of drinks and none of them have ever let me down. My absolute favorite drink to get there is the Cafe All Black which is such a deep and rich chocolatey coffee drink. I am a sweet drinks person and this one is amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have super cute cups if you are dinning in and overall great vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service here is so great. It is family owned and run and your drink is brought straight to where you are sitting so there is no need to stand and wait or be alert for your name. Stop by if possible and I would say it is also worth the drive too if it isn't a stop!

My partner picked this up for me so this review is only going to go over the drink itself. Drink: (5/5) I got the matcha with black sesame cream which seems to be a fan favorite menu item. I 100% understand why. The black sesame brings a a subtle nuttiness to the already earthy matcha without any one flavor overpowering the other. SO GOOD. I drank the whole thing in the car. Other notes: My partner got the matcha with strawberry cream for himself and although this is such a classic combo, I would definitely choose the sesame one over it. The strawberry here is a little too strong.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Makario is a cozy coffee shop located in Downtown Everett.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tried their Flower Latte, Black Sesame Latte, White Mocha, and Cafe Mt. Rainier and they were all amazing. Their drinks have rich flavours without being too bold or sweet. K-Panini was crispy and a good mix of Bulgogi and cheese. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is cozy but have plenty of seatings.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owner and their family are very welcoming and attentive. This coffee shop is a must-try cafe in Everett area.

It is such a beautiful place, filled with such beautiful people.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The whole family is so kind and always tries their best to get out the drinks and food as fast as possible. The food and drinks are amazing. And they even offer a 10% for Everett High Students, this place is amazing!!

This place is a true 4.5 stars for me. I don't know how I haven't heard about this Korean owned cafe located in Downtown Everett sooner. There's free 90 min street parking right outside the cafe. For a smaller sized cafe, there is plenty of seating. We tried their mexican mocha and black sesame latte, both which were perfectly sweet and milky. Since the place is owned just by a couple, they can get quite busy and overwhelmed, but they are prompt in making sure you're not waiting long!

This is really a 4.5 stars, but I rounded down and I'll explain later! The vibes here are great, the staff is incredibly nice as well! There is free 2 hr street parking here as well (non-parallel parking). The drinkers here are great! I got the matcha with ube foam and both were amazing, not too sweet. My friend loves her einspanner (essentially a vienese coffee). The cinnamon roll was also quite good, tho not as a sweet as I think the American pallet prefers, which I appreciated lol We both got sandwiches she really liked hers! I got the bulgogi grilled cheese which was in general very good, large and decently flavored. The one down side was that there were some pieces of meat that weren't warm, it wasn't big enough of a deal to send it back but as someone who hates getting a small piece of cold in the hot, it's enough to lose half a star (we still finished the sandwich), the meat was definitely cooked all the way just not reheated all the way. But I'd still order it again! I can't wait to come back and try more of their drinks and pastries :)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a beautiful cozy spot in Everett![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You can tell a lot of dedication and love is put into this business and it shows in the product. I ordered a basil pesto panini with a hot brown sugar matcha. Both were delicious and perfectly crafted! Service was attentive and inviting, making this place feel like a home away from home. Would highly recommend visiting this spot and I'll definitely be returning :)

A cute ambience, cozy vibe and a versatile coffee menu -- Makario is one of a kind! I met a girl friend here and she had the orange blossom tea and morning sandwich. I got the flower latte! My flower latte hit all the notes of good flavor. Subtle sweetness! A place to study, for conversation etc. The owners are super nice! They do kick you out at 4pm which is when they close haha. Parking is not bad! You may have to park one to two blocks away since it's near other businesses.

We heard much about this coffee place and finally had a chance to try. Street parking was complimentary in the front of the store. The atmosphere was modern and laidback. The service was friendly and welcoming. There were photos of some coffee drinks next to the menu on the wall which it's helpful. We ordered hot black sesame latte and iced white mocha. The latte was perfectly balanced with nutty flavor. White mocha was a step above from what you would find elsewhere. I can't wait to come back next time.

I discovered Makario when I was renting an art studio in the area. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem in Everett. It is my favorite place to get matcha, the flavor is the perfect balance of earthy and sweet. It has a mochi like flavor which adds to the richness of the drink. I am pretty picky about my matcha and this cafe really delivers. They have a wonderful assortment of drinks with unique flavor combinations. The ambiance of the space is relaxed and tranquil, surrounded by beautiful plants. The staff is very friendly and attentive! They always bring my drink to me which is so refreshing as most places will plop your drink on the counter and just call your name out. Go to your new favorite cafe in Everett!!! read more

I looked on Yelp yesterday and saw this coffee place near me I was surprised!!! Went this morning with my good friend . The first thing I noticed was the area lots of homeless! Went inside was comfortable. My friend got a scone and coffee and I got a coffee with skim milk was very good but the end was too strong I threw it out! I want to try it again but different coffee but I have to admit it was a little more expensive but for really good quality ! read more

Consistent place. That's what makes a coffee shop great in my opinion. There is always plenty of street parking for 90 minutes to 2 hours for free I believe. Location is easy to find. Decent amount of seating for about 20-30 people. There are tables with 2 chairs and I think one larger section for a family or group. It's a Dutch coffee shop and they have traditional coffees. Flavor is always on point. I believe the owners are an Asian couple, because I've seen them the past 3 times I've been. They are honestly the most kind individuals. This also allows them to incorporate some delicious bites with Asian flavors. You'd be missing out if you came to Everett and didn't give this coffee shop a try! Today I ordered the Einspänner, which is a classic in Viennese coffee shops. This beverage is espresso with whipped cream or full cream on top. Their take on this is perfect! The actual espresso is perfect- not too bitter or sour. The cream is delicious and just the right amount to give it some sweetness without taking away from the star of the show- the coffee! I'd recommend this beverage for not only avid coffee drinkers, but just anyone who'd like to try a cup of coffee here. I wish I could make more precise recommendations, but honestly I haven't had an item here that left me feeling underwhelmed. Highly recommend this place. P.S. they do have one bathroom that's very clean. read more

Great Mom and pop specialty cafe with a pretty laid back vibe. The flower latte is what caught my attention and it was a perfect sweet blend with a subtle floral taste that reminded me of a blueberry chocolate. My husband and I were shocked at the rich flavor of both our drinks and were huge fans of Cafe Makario. Their menu has a great specialty drink selection and their basic drinks are not even basic, they're better than most. We came around 11, and they close at 12 so most pastries were gone but they had some beautifully colored scones that looked very tempting. We asked for a strawberry scone to go and didn't look before we left that we accidentally got a different kind. Not sure what it was, kind of tasted like pineapple with really good frosting and it was delicious. The cafe is very spaced out and they have a small tables and a couch. When you enjoy your coffee there it is served in the most intricate cups and plates, perfect for a photo. Quite a few people had laptops out as well and it seemed like a chill spot to enjoy a fine cup of coffee. They also had ample parking spots directly in front. read more

We were passing through Everett and wanted to stop for a cup of coffee, and I must say we were not disappointed. Makario is highly rated, and for good reason. The service was fantastic, and the coffee was absolutely perfect. We ordered the Nutella latte and the caffe mocha and both were 10/10. I've been wanting to check this place out for a long time and I finally had the chance to recently. Customer service is excellent. The owners are very nice. Love the variety of coffees and other drink options. I like that they have specialty items. They all sounded great so it was hard to choose. Pastry options were great too. Love the decor and set up inside. It's so cute! I wish it was closer because it's a perfect place to get some work done over some yummy coffee and pastries. read more

I have never tried a matcha latte before but wanted to try it out so I got the matcha latte with added sweetness, and it was creamy and delicious! We also got the basil pesto panini and the bugogi panini, and both were amazing. The paninis were shared by two people, and they were the perfect size. My new favorite cafe! The barista is so nice and the coffee was DELICIOUS! I got the Mt. Rainer and my friend ordered the Dutch Affogato, both were amazing. I haven't stopped talking about this place to everyone I meet and still can't get over how amazing my coffee was. Pre-Covid, I definitely would've loved studying there for hours and filling up on coffee. Currently, inside seating is still available and although the cafe is tiny, it doesn't feel suffocating. The door is kept open so there is good airflow as well. I can't wait to go back and bring other people. Highly highly recommend! read more

Drove all the way to here from Issaquah just to try their coffee. Loved the Sumetra specialty coffee and Mt. Rainier! We also had honey cream cheese bagel at the cafe and my husband loved it. The vibe was so chill and calm, the owners were super nice and friendly, and drinks were so good! We ended up ordering einspanner and black sesame matcha as take out before heading back home. Einspanner was a bit sweet for my taste but was still good. Black sesame matcha is a must try! Definitely can taste the black sesame and was just enough sweetness. Everett's best cafe for specialty coffee! Delicious and strong coffee with each cup handmade with love and care! You can really taste the quality and effort they put into it. High quality coffee and baked goods, with an extensive menu of specialty beverages that you will not find just anywhere. Cafe Makario is a cute cafe in Everett, with a good amount of indoor seating, and a clean bathroom. Their menu includes over 15 specialty lattes, Dutch coffee (cold brew), tea, drip coffee, and more. They even have bulgogi breakfast/lunch items. I got their popular Einspanner, a subtly sweet, cream topped latte. It was delicious, with perfectly balanced rich, nutty espresso and smooth cream. I also got a Mixed Berry Scone, which happened to be vegan. It was packed with juicy berries, and had a nice delicate crumb. The owner was genuinely friendly. Worth a stop! read more

I am still thinking about how good my Einspanner here was. Never had nor heard of it before but yelp made me curious. I was thankful I was able to call in an order within 5 minutes of their closing and they happily made it for me. It was ready when I arrived and immediately upon entering, I felt welcomed in the cafe. Space is cute, owners are friendly and drinks were interesting and so good. After taking a sip, I already wanted another one. The house made whip cream was delish and neither Espresso nor cream overpowered the other, but rather enhanced each other. Not too sweet either. I'll definitely have to come back for more :) read more

Wow, I had the BEST mocha I've ever had in my life here today. First time here, I brought my toddler which I wouldn't do again- it's a more adult atmosphere which makes sense being downtown, but I would definitely come back again for a to-go mocha. The service was also great and my drink came out fast. Thank you! read more

I recently discovered Grain Artisan Bakery in Snohomish…read more(highly recommend), & since it was afternoon, I got a decaf latte to go with my rhubarb custard tart. With decaf, I've come to expect that I will need the sweet treat to enhance the drink, but this coffee was absolutely as good as the amazing pastry, which is super, super rare!! It was Velton's Three Ravens Blend, the best decaf - by far - that I have had in more than a decade of searching. Three Ravens is completely delicious standing alone - which is what I've been searching for - and it harmonizes beautifully for the half-caf I like to drink in the mornings. I first emailed the business about which of their caffeinated offerings they would recommend for this, and Velton Ross got back to me right away with the friendliest, kindest reply and several very thoughtful suggestions. So far I've enjoyed the Bonsai Blend - an excellent and delicious accompaniment, just a slightly warmer, brighter profile when full-caf than is my preference - and I am going to order the Twilight Blend next. Although you cannot buy in person from their roastery, you can easily order from their site. They have lovely detailed descriptions of everything they offer, and shipping is very quick and very reasonable. They roast on Mondays and ship on Tuesdays, and I have always received my order (in Shoreline) by Friday, or Saturday at latest. There are also quite a few retail locations from Everett to the eastside - and even one each in Vegas and Montana! - where you can buy their beans and/or drink their coffee. I greatly appreciate that they took the time to list these on their site with detailed information about each establishment. So helpful for learning about local businesses I might have otherwise never come across. Online, you can purchase both whole bean and pre-ground for espresso and drip coffee. The drip coffee grind was a little too fine for my coffee cone method. So I experimented with whole beans and found that, for me, the flavor is perfect when I grind them one setting coarser than I used to use for other coffees. The best part of all of this, is that this is the first decaf I've ever been able to drink without a feeling of compromise, extra doctoring, or gaslighting myself into believing that it's good. Zero disappointment!! I can make a straight decaf cup any time of day and know that I'm going to love every sip. Thank you, Velton's!!

I especially love the Einspänner coffee that this café makes. They cream is really nice and sweet. The coffee is strong and I can defiantly taste the roasted beans.
