Nice place. Very busy sometimes but clearly Nick does his best to provide everyone with attention they need. So far happy with quality of their work on my Range Rover Sport. Mechanics are friendly and seem knowledgeable. Mr. Floyd (The tire guy) is a definitely a Rock-star of the shop. As some other reviewer mentioned, yes, you can be told "We will take you in 15-20 min" that will be really an hour but not because they forgot about you but, likely, because it took a little longer to finish the previous vehicle... Keep in mind that safety and reliability is a concern and you will want a mechanic to double check everything, check here and there before you leave even at the expense of the next guy waiting a little longer. read more

I had a pinhole leak in my front left tire for months. The dealer mechanic wasn't able to find the leak since the last two service maintenance, so I decided to go to Major Tire to get it checked out. I met Floyd and it took him seconds to spot that a nail got stuck in the tire. The reviews of him are true, he IS the tire guru. He took the nail out, and sprayed soap solution to confirm the leak. I was watching him work and he was telling me how a plug repair won't work for this type of penetration, as the plug will fall out and leave you stranded. I got the tire patched and tested with soap solution and no leak! Not done yet, after the repair was done, tires were rebalanced as the tire was taken out of the rim, which shows you Floyd knows what he is doing. Repairs cost less than $20 dollars and I was on my way. Thanks Floyd! read more

After not so great experiences at several other tire shops I think I've found the one to come back to. I came with a slow leaker that Floyd patched up. He noticed it wasn't balanced (which my previous tire shop failed to do correctly) and offered to balance it at no extra charge, all for 15 dollars. Major Tire is not only a tire repair shop, but also an excellent repair shop. I maintain my fleet of company vehicles with them, and also service my personal cars. Whether it is an alignment, an oil change, or an engine malfunction, they were always able to diagnose the problem and let me know what my options were without any upsell. Good quality work with excellent communication skills and affordable rate. They do get very busy, so be a little patient, but they will take care of you and you'll leave satisfied. Like every other review, look for Flloyd if you want your tires repaired the right way. Only shop around that uses a PATCH repair instead of a plug type repair unless you ask. Under 20$ with tip and you don't have to worry about a plug falling out or in your tire after a few months. read more

What can I say that hasn't already been said except for it's all true. I've been putting off getting a new set of tires just swimming in the options for months. My shop, who I love, quoted a too high figure. Considered joining Costco just for the tires but they only stock one poorly rated all season in my size. Now it turns out it's going to be a rainy and snowy Thanksgiving long drive. Missed the cutoff to buy from TireRack and be sure I'll still be on schedule, so I gotta do something. Mavis? I Google for what else is nearby and head down to Major Tire to see if buying the tires from them as well would end an OK deal. Long story short, it was, and I got to meet and chat with the wonderful Floyd, who is everything his reputation says he is and then some. The only brand in all season they had in stock that was my size was Venezia, which I wasn't familiar with (not that I know much of anything about tires). But Floyd saying they were totally fine, well, it's like Julia Child saying that cheese there is a good cheese. He finished the car he was working on and I pulled into the lift area 15 minutes after I showed up unannounced. I went around the corner to a pretty decent bagel place for a while (bagel and vegetable cc great, coffee not so much but I was in a good mood so it was fine) wandered back and in very short order it was done, including some balancing, air pressure and other wisdom from Floyd dispensed exactly as you would hope he would dispense it. Drove away maybe an hour after I drove up. The car rode great and I was smiling. What an amazing world this would be if everyone in Floyd's position everywhere else was the person Floyd is. read more

Floyd at major auto is really good at what he does. My tire air pressure light was coming on every other day, even after getting air pressure checked at many places and getting the tires checked, no luck. Floyd did take a look, and I told him everything that I had tried, he was able to successfully find the issue with one tire and diagnose the issue. The light is gone, its been couple of days, it used to come right back on the second day. I highly recommend major auto, these guys know what they are doing. read more
