Service was acceptable. Lots of servers... we pretty much never saw the same person twice, though. They forgot the soup, which was the soup of the day, enchilada soup. Borderline awful soup. The rest: airplane food. No kidding. You'll know what I mean if you get what we got. Spinach salad with salmon, and two really hohum dressings, neither of which struck me as homemade (and if they are, so sad). And, ham and brie on alleged focaccia. Only Pepsi products. And a "state best" bloody Mary that was no way near the best in the state. Probably not the best on the block. read more

Over the years, I've really come to like this place. My colleagues and I come to Ocean Springs several times a year for a trade show and always dine here on a Friday night, with reservations of course. You can sit out front , on the back patio, or if you like noise and excitement sit inside! We typically like the back patio but if nothing is available there, the front porch is just fine. It must be a good place to work because the staff seems stable. We regularly request Tara as our server but others have been great as well. It's nice to see familiar faces of people who remember you even if you dine there only a couple times a year. The menu is small but the food is always good. There are regular dishes and seasonal specials. Desserts are excellent and the drinks well-crafted. One issue subtracted a star. They recently started charging for the bread that comes out before the meal. No one told us and so we ate several baskets. A table for four gets the same bread as does a two top and so the portion for four is insufficient and thus more has to be ordered. read more

Wanted to try a nice intimate restaurant with my boyfriend and we decided to try Madison De Lu, in Ocean Springs, MS. The restaurant was clean with the tables set. When we arrived the host asked if we had a reservation? We said no bring that it was Sat around 6pm. So the only seating available was at the bar. However, outside seating was empty. That was a bummer but we decided to stay. The wine was a good choice along with the salmon, baked cauliflower, and sautéed mushrooms and onions. Great service and I would recommend. read more

As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with smiles. We had reservations for 7 & were a little early and they sat us. We were in on a Tuesday night and the bar was packed and there were several tables seated. Our server and service was exceptional. We started with the sautéed crab claws. It's not your traditional butter it's more of a Cajun style it was so delicious and light. Soaking the fresh bread in the sauce was delicious. The veal and lamb chops were great and cooked perfectly to our ordered temperature. They have very unique sides the Caesar salad was light and refreshing. My wife and I visited Ocean Springs recently and made reservations here for our last night. It did not disappoint. I love the vibe...kind of felt like I had been transported to Paris circa 1960. My boyfriend and I went here for his birthday dinner last night. The dining room and bar area are so very cute. It's a small restaurant but a very intimate setting. Our server was fabulous- very friendly and welcoming. She also helped us pick out our meal. We started with crab cakes that were so fresh. I had the blackened shrimp which was amazing! Delightfully surprised. We had a very quick overnight stay in Ocean Springs. The hotel was able to accommodate our walk-in request. Small charming restaurant. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere is very comfortable. Casual dining. I came here for lunch. The food was superb. The menu switch is very often. The waiter and service was very excellent. I cannot complain. It's located in downtown Ocean Springs I've Government Street. Finding a parking spot is a little hectic but it's a bigger parking lot behind the restaurant. They were able to accommodate a party of seven with no problem. Overall , give me a five star. The appetizers were amazing. The crabcakes were wonderful. The tuna was on point and melting your mouth. It gets rave reviews for a reason, it's delicious. We ended our meal by splitting the coconut dessert. So light and decadent. We didn't make reservations so we had to sit at the bar. Lovely white tablecloth restaurant with a lovely small bar and if it hadn't been so hot we might have tried sitting outside on the patio. We opted to sit at the bar and I had a blackberry margarita and Laura had a nice cold martini. Hosea is a wonderful, funny bartender and has great knowledge of his products. He spoke of the new tequilas coming out in some different flavors. We had reservations so we sat at a table close to the bar and our server was Arthur. Arthur had some recommendations so we went with crab claws in butter. Laura had veal piccata and I had grilled pompano which was delicious. We also had roasted beets and double baked cauliflower which were amazing. And then(drum roll please) we had the lemon icebox pie. This pie just melted in your mouth!! We will definitely be back!! For all the recommendations I read about this place, it did not live up to its hype. Caesar salad tasted like a bag salad, the red wine was warm, and we were a little rushed by the server. Always an amazing experience! Robert cooks hands-down the best filet I've ever had in my entire life. And I am somewhat of a filet connoisseur. Spence is always killing it on the grill as well. The entire kitchen staff need huge kudos because they always deliver impeccable food time after time. Arthur is one of our servers - besides Ryan the owner of course. He always goes above and beyond to help us with anything we may need. Jose is the bartender that every restaurant wishes they had. If you need a date night or a place to go and hang out and be in good company this is the place for you! We always feel like we're at home and these are our people.
