In the attached picture from left to right I rank the sake from bad to less bad. The one of the right was bearable but I still would not buy it alone. Perhaps the japanese sakes would have tasted better? We also decided not to get the sushi hand rolls to try and make the drinks more bearable as they did not have much variety or sounded good. I was also not a fan of the interior. Kind of reminded me of an old chinese buffet with those large stick chairs and tables. The staff here were friendly, but nothing else really redeemed here

We got Texas Sake tasting to start with and this is where we finished. The flight looked very different from other people's reviews here and tasted VERY fishy. The yellow-ish one was probably the most bearable one but it still was not good at all. To be very honest, I really had to push myself to take more than one sip of each. If I had nothing to compare with, I would probably refrain from being this harsh, but I have had cheap and expensive sake and I have never tasted anything this bad... We looked at the hand roll options and we didn't find anything we would be interested in. The interior felt like it was a bingo room with a couple of Japan inspired booths that looked a little bit out of place compared to the rest of the floor. Gave one star for nice staff and a cool fish mural.

We didn't even realize that Pinthouse Brewing had a sourdough crust (apparently not all locations…read moredo), so that was such a fun surprise. The sourdough pizza was really good--almost like a focaccia/Detroit-style hybrid, but with the sauce layered on the bottom. Super flavorful, crispy edges, soft inside... honestly just hit. Also--my husband was way too excited (in the best way) to see boiled peanuts on the menu, so of course we had to start there. Great call. We'll definitely be back.

The building is quite large and inside is cool as the seating is quite spacious and a large number of people can enjoy food and drink at once. Definitely not a tiny, small placed brewery...but it's true... everything is bigger in Texas! When we were at Pinthouse I spotted a Mexican Lager which is a type of lager I love and especially in warm weather... a perfect summer beer for me! The name of the beer was Burro's Breakfast. In the flavor profile of this beer you will find a naturally sweet corn flavor, some maltiness along with a tart and dry finish. The beer is light bodied like most lagers of this type and smooth in body. In addition to having a beer we also decided to get some lunch. So we got a chicken sandwich a piece along with coleslaw and had a very nice lunch. Coming to Pinthouse Brewing proved to be a good stop as we made a pretty extensive tour of the breweries in Austin.

My friends and I came during a time when kids are allowed. My husband went up and found out they have apple juice. He got some for our kids and another kid. When they finished it, I went in to ask for more. It was another bartender and he seemed really annoyed I even asked. I said I'm sorry but my husband just got some and he insisted I'm mistaken and looked more annoyed. He sent me away. My husband asked and his response was "are you with that woman in the scrubs?" And was annoyed yet again. What did I do to him to piss him off? Anyway. Our friend went up then and asked the original guy who got it for us. THERE WAS NO MISTAKE. The bartender just was rude for no reason. I tipped 25% when I got drinks from him, and never once treated him like crap. So not sure what I did to deserve his ire
