Mike, the wonderous nice owner, put off looking into my car's wheel that was making a strange rubbing sound when i drove. Main street put it off for two weeks. Then their dude did a one half ass hour look into it , told me it was done. I picked up my car after being 2 weeks at the shop, one hour to look at it , nothin wrong with it. Come n get it. Som bichin tire cracked off the arm ON THE WAY HOME!!! almost crashed. People pulled over to check on me. It was Trump/ Bidens 3rd debate that night. cold as f. dark . I waited 3 hours for a tow. Progressive told me to tow it to Marhoffer Collision. They replaced arm, tie rod, gimpy cracked part of the inner wheel. Replaced the entire wheel, tire, damaged lines. And Progressive paid for a loaner . 4 days later my car was done well, and right. Now Mike gave me honest advice. He said my car was rotting out and i should get my car to not pass the emissions testing, so i would only have to pay $.300.00 to fix my problem. WHERES THE 6 STAR BUTTON??? I have been here like 15 times because my car is so old. Everytime, consistently, Mike ensures I get the best deal possible and I know for a fact he is 100% honest. They take such good care of my car every time. My dad is even blown away by their quality of service and told me I should give them a gift basket. My dad is not easy to impress! They were recommended to me by a person at Kent State. I went in to have my brake rotor looked at, as it has a score in it. I am on the road from Louisiana so it would be easy to sell me all sorts of unneeded stuff. But, he reported my pads were good, the rotor score would not diminish performance. I lived in Kent for five years while attending college at Kent State University. I took my 2004 Yukon there for all repairs and it was always outstanding service. They were honest and only fixed what was needed and let me know if there was anything that I should keep an eye on for the future. I dropped my car off at 8:30am for an oil change and a quote for an exhaust repair. I was told they would get to it that morning. By 4pm I hadn't heard anything back. When I called I was told they hadn't looked at it and wouldn't have a chance to that day. Do not quote me a time and then not stand by it. I've been going to Main Street Auto for a few years now for various car repairs as needed. The staff has always been professional and helpful. They have never tried to up sell or push anything I did not need. They inform you what the problems are and what your options are and let you decide how to proceed. A good reputation in the car repair business is not an easy thing to achieve, they must be doing it right because there is always many people in need of their services. It's helpful to make an appointment with them since they are so busy, but they will gladly take on your vehicle in emergency situations of course. These guys are top notch. fair prices. quality repairs. I've been taking my car to these folks since 2003 when they were "Crock's Auto Care" And you're going to have to schedule appointments. If there was ANY complaint I have about them, it's that it takes them a while to get to a project. I brought my car in Monday morning just for a check up before I had to go on a road trip. They called me later that day to tell me I had a very bad oil leak....estimate for repair $450.00 - and, because they were slammed, they couldn't guarantee they could get to it by Friday, when they close. I planned to leave 2 days later. They promised to call me to give me an idea if they were going to be able to do it by Fri. They weren't so good at the calling part. When I called on Thurs. they told me it would be done that afternoon. Cost -- $215.00 They let me take it to test it out and bring it back Fri. morning to make sure the leak had been fixed. It checked out ok today. So, all in all, I'm a happy customer! read more

Mike and the guys at Main Street Auto are outstanding. My daughter, a Kent student, went to see them with an steering issue on her car. They spent an hour, fixed her head light (they noticed it was out !), and the steering problem, and charged her $18.00. It doesn't get any better than this.
