I had 4 tires sent for my VW GTI from tire rack. I was happy at first, well balanced and aligned, and great customer service. It's been about 2 weeks and my wife came home saying something felt very off and scary at the end of her drive. Come to see that 3 of the lug nuts are missing!! I will also call to complain, but this is a dangerous mistake to make that should be fundamental to the job. I won't risk it again.

Flynn's Tire tried to charge me $1,600 for a $300 repair. My steering wheel was beginning to feel rigid and difficult to turn. I checked my power steering fluid and saw that it was very low. I topped it off, but my steering wheel issues persisted. I took my car to Flynn's because I had previously received tires and an oil change from them at a fair price. Jeff informed me that the joint on my intermediate shaft was rusted out and would need to be replaced. He went on to say that because of this he would also need to replace my entire steering rack. Additionally, this would require him to replace my tie rod ends and my power steering pressure hose. Further, without telling me he added in a power steering fluid flush (despite me just adding all new fluid myself) - Note that they charge $80 to do this, when it cost me $4 to do it myself. He also added an $80 alignment. This all came to a total of $1,612.22 see attached photo of receipt. My dad, who is incredibly handy with cars but unfortunately lives far away, thought this seemed suspicious. He had me take my car to Meineke in Parma. I did not inform them of my experience with Flynn's, and just said I needed them to diagnose my steering problem. They said the exact same thing as Jeff from Flynn's: My intermediate shaft joint was rusted and needed to be replaced. And that was it. Cost me $331.07 see attached photo of receipt. They replaced it quickly, and it drives just like new. Afterwards I mentioned to them my experience with Flynn's and they confirmed that I absolutely did not need to replace any of the other parts they added to the list nor did I need a power steering flush or alignment. I cannot believe this man was going to con me into spending $1,600! Unbelievable. I will never go back there again, and I have already warned all my local friends of their shady ways. FYI the orange highlighting on the receipts shows the only two things that SHOULD have been charged: the intermediate shaft part and the labor costs.

Just prior to my husband's passing, he noticed a tire pressure warning light but he was unable to fix it or get to Fuerst for help. Today I drove our car for the first time since my husband died. I drove to Fuerst and with my cane hobbled to the front door to find that it was closed. As I got into my car to leave, Mike came out the front door to ask what kind of help I needed. I was in tears due to circumstances, apologized and explained. Mike offered condolences and even though they were closed, he told me to pull up and he would check my tires. Mike was so gracious, patient and kind. He properly inflated all 4 tires and said if the warning light returns to come back on Monday. As a family owned business, Fuerst Automotive continues to prove how much it values its customers and cares about the community. Mike is a prime example of that excellence. I don't know of many businesses that would've reached out when closed to help someone during a difficult time. I wish I could give Fuerst 10 stars because they deserve it. Thank you, Mike, for your kindness and help.

It was a coolant leak that spiraled and turned into a lot of hours in labor charge$$, guessing on radiator, thermostat? maybe, hoses, heater core, parts and symptoms over 3 weeks in dead of Winter. In the end was told to "get a head gasket replacement", but why was that not checked first when told that SUV was overheating? A compression leak down test or a coolant combustion gas test should have been the first thing done, then go from there. We just got a large bill and a larger one now looming... We are local, and like to give locals good reviews, but this was a most painful experience, and we had to rent cars for a month just to get by. He had somebody quit in the middle of all this, so I get that, but the communication there was very lacking, as we would go 4-5 days with no updates to the progress, kept us wondering every day if we should extend the rental car agreement, a day,a week, two, who knows? There is nobody working the front desk to call, so you are calling Nick directly and he's the one working on cars, so we weren't sure if he was getting messages. Every excuse was that he was always working on somebody else's car instead of ours. Engine was missing some parts by week 4, I had to go buy to replace after getting it back. He did refund me though. Interior of car was received as filthy and took over an hour to clean. I think that the A/C refrigerant was also lost in the radiator swap, I'll find out in the Summer. Bush's, McBrides, and Randy's were booked out 2 weeks when it overheated, or I would have gone there, so took a chance here and would not recommend.

When I called them to make an appointment, although the price increased, they still charged me the original quoted price. They didn't have to do it but they did and I'm truly grateful. A few minutes after arriving they told us…read morethey couldn't swap them because they were all wheel drive vehicles and tires were different sizes (going from an acadia to explorer). My husband and I have both worked in the auto industry do we already the tire sizes were able to be swapped, and for that matter both our vehicles are front wheel drive! My husband asked to see the vehicles while they were in the air (to double check), and sure enough FWD. He asked the girl who checked us in if she could just let tech know to double check before they give customers wrong info. She pulled the tech aside and told us tell him yourself, so my husband did. Tech had nothing to say except "ok" and gave him a dirty look. There was no "hey we were wrong we apologize"... just nothing. When cars were done my husband tried to tell the tech have a good day and he walked away and didnt even acknowledge him. We came here because ive been a customer in the past and never had an issue. 1. Not having the knowledge to know the difference between AWD and FWD - not good if youre in the vehicle repair business. 2. Not offering any kind of apology when it was YOUR mistake, just bad manners. 3. Walking away and not acknowledging a customer who was polite but pointed out your mistake and told you that you were wrong - unprofessional. We wont be back.
