I like the smoothies. I always substitute and mix they always let me. Happy to be able to get delicious smoothie by the lake.

This is by far my favorite açaí & smoothie place in the bay! They have a small menu, but every item is delicious! I especially like their smoothies. I haven't seen anywhere else with the type of flavors they have. My favorite is the Tropikale. The staff is always super friendly, and they're quick! I drive 30 min out of my way to come here, so I definitely recommend Main Squeeze. read more

We love this place! Acai Bowls are fantastic and have us coming back nearly every week (sometimes twice a week). We love the Oasis bowl! Staff is always great and accommodating on our food restrictions. On nice days we take advantage of the sidewalk or outdoor patio seating. read more

This place is great, they serve a delicious, refreshing acai bowl! I got the beleza bowl and it was just the right consistency, not too watery or thick. I like a little extra granola in my bowls and they definitely give a good ratio of topping to acai. I like how they have a bunch of add ons, I plan on trying to add spirulina next time - but this is a great spot to grab a bowl and super friendly staff! The place inside is pretty small, theres only seating outside on one bench but I suggest taking it to lake merrit and eating it there. read more

Drinks 5/5. Service 5/5. Ambiance 4/5. Bang for your buck 3/5. Smoothies and açaí bowls? Count me in. With fresh fruit and vegetables this place is perfect after a run around a lake or an afternoon stroll. A hole in the wall shop, with no seatings expect a bench on the outside of the wall. It's definitely a grab and go place which is fine because it's next to the lake. They make the smoothies right in front of you so you'll know the ingredients they put in. I had the tropikale which was recommended to me by the cashier which was packed with kale and fruit. It's a little bit pricy for smoothies and açaí bowl (more expensive than Jamba Juice) but with the ingredients they use it's worth the cost! I will be back for their açaí bowls, mark my words! read more

I was on the hunt for acai bowls and found main squeeze...it was "ok" I had the alpha bowl(I believe)it had apples on top...never saw apples used before but why not? Ill try it. It was $10 and for me not fulfilling my craving for an acai bowl. The fruit was fresh she did add a "little" almond butter for me...I did ask who their almond butter supplier was and a different female told me they did it in house!!! Way cool for that! Unfortunately, not fresh acai sorbet base...at all...she used Sambazon packets that we all can get at Costco or even the grocery outlet! Way bummed out about that. With that being said, packets of acai aren't calling me.back to main squeeze. I miss Samba Rocks or even Brazilian Cafe in Santa Cruz...now that's worth the drive read more

Small space. Only pick up but they do have a bench outside you could sit and eat at. Quick and nice service. Bananas cookies are sooooo good! read more

I've tired this place a couple of times. The açaí doesn't taste as good as I thought it would. It's bland and doesn't really have flavor. I do however recommend the organic juices, the small is $6.50 and large is $8.50. More on the expensive side but worth it. It's a small place next to Lin Jia Chinese restaurant so you may miss it passing by but definitely worth trying especially on a hot day. Parking is definitely a challenge so walk there if you can. read more

I LOVE acai bowls but the bowl here just didn't hit the spot. My family and I ran the Hip Hop Run at Lake Merritt earlier that morning and we wanted a quick pick me up. My cousin and I both ordered the Alpha Bowl. I thought it had a lot of great ingredients but just lacked some flavor. The acai was really runny and watery so it didn't really taste like anything without the other ingredients but that could have been because of the weather? I also think it's gross to eat overripe bananas. If I am in the area again and come back, I do not want something with apples because I legit almost choked on the skin of the apple from my bowl LOL! I am happy though that the girl was willing to accommodate my request to split our 2 bowls into 4 bowls because we wanted to share with two other people. She also gave us a heads up after we placed our order that the wait would be around 10 minutes, which I appreciated. Overall, I wouldn't come back unless I was in the area. I also think for the amount we were given... the bowl was pretty pricey. I could be wrong but I feel like I get a lot more portions of fruit and acai from chains like Vitality Bowl. read more

Imagine a to go spot for juices! This place is great for quick and on the go. There's no where to sit inside but there's a great bench right in front where you can enjoy your smoothie or açaí bowl and people watch! The menu is only on the wall above you and there was lots of friendly staff when i came. I got the oasis bowl which tasted like vacation in a bowl! You have the choice to do pineapple do blackberry for this one! Alpha bowl was also delicious and less fruity and more toppings, topped off with Hemp seeds! They have Apple Pay so you can use your phone or just use your card as I did. Love that there was lots of Latinos working here. Friendly staff and delicious açaí bowls!!! There's also a bunch of bars if you want something to go with your smoothie! read more

I always want to love this place but at this point I feel like they must be playing a prank on me. Everytime I've been I order an Alpha açaí bowl (one upgrade from their basic one) yet somehow every single time I get home and realize there no almond butter, no blueberries no spinach basically none of the things you pay the extra $3 for. They will always give you basic bowl no matter what you actually order. Gonna find somewhere else read more

First Timer! My friend and I were looking for some freshly pressed juice while we were in Oakland on a Sunday afternoon & we stumbled upon this place. We tried a couple of Wheatgrass Shots along with a Orange You Glad & Quite the Pear. I loved the pressed juice and the wheatgrass shot. Very prompt service! * Orange You Glad contains: Celery, Carrots, Apple, Pear, Ginger, Turmeric & Lemon. Great blend of flavor, turmeric and Ginger aren't overpowering * Quite the Pear contains: Kale, Cucumber, Pear, Pineapple, Lime, Ginger, Cinnamon. Another great blend of flavor with a kick of cinnamon. I one juices with kale & pineapples * Wheatgrass Shot: love! It has a nice sweet note at the end read more

Got the Beleza Bowl, which is the classic acai with strawberries, banana, granola, honey, and coconut shavings. This bowl was pretty pricy since only half of the container was filled with the actual acai itself. It also tasted mildly medicinal. Parking is a bit tough to find here. As for their drinks, I'm thinking that the smoothies are more promising. read more

Waited 40 mins for my drinks in front of store then I realize people who ordered after me started getting drinks. I ask the lady where my stuff was and she pulls it out a fridge? Açaí bowls are one of the latest crazes to hit the Bay Area. Pureed fruit with a bunch of toppings that make you feel like you're being healthy with crazy names like spirulina and maca. Anyway, this place is small and on the corner of Lakeshore and Mandana. Google will have you make a series of weird turns, but it's there, I promise. It's next to a Gymboree so there's a bunch of moms wandering around with strollers and the like. As you enter, you'll see the menu board of juice blends, açaí bowls, smoothies, and shots. As I came here for the bowl, I ordered a dessert bowl, as did my fiancee, because really, it's basically a dessert that you feel slightly better about eating. It took longer than expected to make our bowls. Yes there was a line and it was made to order, but it was about a 20 minute wait for our bowls. Get the bowls, start walking to the lake. It's good, with plenty of toppings that I can't spell or pronounce, in addition to bananas, berries, coconut flakes, cacao nibs (the healthy way to say chocolate) and granola. The fruit blend itself was good, but didn't really knock me out in the way Basik cafe in San Francisco does. Additionally (as you can see in my picture) the amount they gave was a little low considering it's 10 dollars. Maybe it was the fruit blend or something else, but I was a little disappointed. The other secret to all this is you can easily make this at home for much cheaper. I've checked around, there are only like 2 major brands that make açaí purees, one of which is even sold at Safeway. That's right, no whole paycheck or even Trader Joe's. Safeway. All in all, I'm glad this place is here, but I likely won't be returning. read more

Stopped by this place after a hike with my girlfriend to get a healthy snack. It's a small joint located near a park. The menu had some clever names for their drinks and it was colored which made it more lively. My girlfriend ordered the Beleza Bowl and I got the Alpha Bowl because it looked like it had lots of interesting healthy toppings (coconut, spinach, almond butter, chia seeds? etc.) We waited outside for maybe 5-10 min so they could us fresh bowls which nice because they tasted great! Both were yummy and had lots of toppings and granola pieces for every bite. Out of the two we both really liked the Beleza bowl since it was a bit sweeter and seemed more refreshing. Maybe I'll try the Dessert bowl next time. The staff was very friendly and even walked the bowls out to us. Keep it up! read more

My boyfriend and I found Main Squeeze on yelp after going on a hike. Getting to the location, we realized it was right on the corner so you do have to find some street parking. It is located next to a park so that was nice. The store itself is very small but the staff was super friendly. I really liked the menu design - cute, colorful, and creative. Upon ordering, the gentleman that was taking my order helped me pronounce what I wanted (Beleza Bowl - beh-lez-uh Bowl?? I might have forgotten already!). He suggested that I get the Oasis Bowl as it is similar but has more toppings (for those of you who want more toppings). My boyfriend got the Alpha Bowl. We were waiting a while for our bowls because another staff member came in and decided to make us fresh bowls! That was well appreciated as our bowls were delicious. the Alpha Bowl was not as sweet as the Beleza bowl that I had because the Alpha bowl had almond butter in it. it also made the texture a little thicker. So if it is your first time and you want something simple and delicious, I would recommend the Beleza :) read more

Açaí bowls are consistent. But I alternate between 3 and 4 stars--depending on who is at the register. Açaí Bowls Consistently good. Though I tend to get the same two bowls all the time but they're good: for the most part the açaí is blended well and the toppings are fresh. Definitely better than the chain offerings in Berkeley and in the suburbs. Smoothies and juices Have had one of the juices a couple of times and it's good: fresh. My kid likes the smoothies but then the kid has yet to meet a smoothies she doesn't like. Service There are some really lovely staff who are very personable and this grumpy guys who is a bit older and a wonder if he's the owner. I'd recommend with the caveat that there have been a couple of mornings where they've opened late and they get pretty crowded certain times of the day. read more

This place is centrally located on Lakeshore, and is highly populated by Oakland's new incoming residents. Been here several times, as in like 21x. When the owner is not their the employees are attentive, friendly, and efficient. Orders come out quicker and taste better. When he is there everything goes downhill. The owner openly has loud inappropriate conversations and frequently ignores customers and increases wait time. Due to this fact I stopped going. But, my grandmother wanted a smoothie last week so we stopped by. We stood at the door while two workers and the owner stood behind the counter talking for 5 minutes and 37 seconds exactly, without acknowledging us. I told my grandmother we should make them at home. She spoke to the owner and asked "if they were open" the owner said: "yeah whats up?" keep in mind my grandmother is 80, who speaks that way to older person and a customer? She persisted to order a maca mama I ordered an acai bowl. We walked all the way down the street before trying. She said hers was so bad, she threw it away. And mine, to top it off, my bowl had a long hair in it. Also, trashed. I will never return. The owner has little respect for customers and to add cleanliness issues on top, its just not worth it. read more

Delicious acai bowls but the wait can be frustrating on the weekends. They do all the orders in batches so you either get really lucky and your order will come out sooner than expected or it'll take an extra 15 minutes than anticipated. It's definitely super tiny so be prepared to take your bowl and run with it. There's an option to do add-ons with the bowls if you aren't satisfied with any of the bowls, then it sort of allows you to "make your own" so to speak. I do wish they were bigger because I was definitely still hungry after eating one (for my mid-day snack). read more

Looking for a healthy and refreshing meal for a hot summer day? Acai bowls are the way to go! The Main Squeeze storefront is small and is more of a grab and go place, although if you want a place to sit around then there's a bench in the front and several more across the street. Parking can be difficult in the area since it's street parking. We came during lunchtime during the weekday so there was no wait time to order. I ordered the Beleza bowl which was the traditional bowl with granola, drizzled honey, strawberry and banana slices. You also have the option to add on other toppings to your order like bee pollen and coconut flakes. For less than $10 they give you a decent amount compared to other places, but don't expect to leave stuffed. I personally liked the portion and the affordable price so you bet I'll be coming back! read more

Great Smoothy bowl! Great granola on top and fresh ingredients! Would definitely visit again.

I was initially drawn to this place because of their advertisement of organic everything, ranging from juices to smoothies. However, when I asked to see what type of almond milk they use in their smoothies I was shown the Almond Breeze brand which was not organic and listed so many fillers in the ingredients. Super bummed about this false advertising. I would be weary of the other juices they add to their drinks, such as apple and orange. To the owners: I would be a returning customer if everything was truly all organic. read more

Bad customer service and half decent smoothies. Very young HS workers were beyond unprofessional. Singing loudly to the radio at the top of their lounges in an extremely compact space. I had to repeat my order and my name to the cashier and still nobody thought to ask them to quiet down. Have fun at work.. but not like this. Açaí bowls end up sloppy and soupy. "Juice appeal" in berkeley or "sidewalk juice" in SF have a more solid formula. read more

Came to Main Squeeze with my main squeeze & let me tell you--it won't be my last time. Craving a delicious smoothie on a cold winter morning, I looked at the menu & the first one that caught my eye was the Maca Mama. It had coconut water (NOTE: All their smoothies have coconut water), almond butter, bananas, maca, cinnamon, vanilla & sea salt. It is was the best damn peanut butter banana smoothie I've ever had in my LIFE thus far. I didn't know maca was so I asked the worker & he was very helpful & informative. Asked what his favorite smoothie was & he said the Carmen something--can't quite remember the exact name--but he said he usually adds kale & strawberries to it. Took his recommendation & walked out of there a happy gal! The smoothie he recommended was more tangy & fruity, which was still delicious nonetheless, but I can definitely say I liked the Maca Mama more but was happy with both. Thank you dude for the excellent hospitality! Will be back again. read more

Sadly anyone who works here who isn't the owner is actually super nice. The owner on the other hand makes every single female, including myself, incredibly uncomfortable. Lewd remarks, aggressive dominating conversation and especially if I'm coming in after working out it makes me feel attacked. No smoothie is worth the gross harassment that the owner constantly dishes out. He told my friend a grotesque story about when he used to be a bartender and would make hot girls his speciality drink " a pink p*ssy" and then continued to tell the story while making lewd gestures with his tongue out. He stares at you and forces you to engage in conversation. He is terrifying and makes me feel incredibly unsafe. read more

One of my favorite açaí places in Oakland by far! This place is located in a very cute neighborhood of Oakland (near Lake Merritt). I ordered the alpha bowl and loved it.
