I was craving an acai bowl later in the afternoon today and my usual place unfortunately wasn't open today. This place was super busy but the wait was maybe 10 minutes at most, so not bad at all. Parking was extremely limited but fortunately I was able to find a single spot available nearby. They don't have peanut butter here which I was really craving so I added on almond butter to my Beleza bowl instead. It was overall a bit sweet for my liking, nonetheless was very tasty & satisfying and a good value (at less than $10) for a bowl that was filled to the very top. read more

I really like wheat grass and they serve it up nicely there and it doesn't take a long time a lot of juice bars if you order wheat grass it takes forever because of the slow machines but these guys have a pretty fast one. They've got a really great menu with all kinds of stuff. I also get the ginger turmeric shots. It's all really healthy and good and very nice people. read more

Excellent smoothies. I haven't had a bowl yet but look forward to it. One challenge is seeing the menu inside while ordering outside the door. The way the line forms, it's hard to tell. People absentmindedly linger near the door which can make ordering tougher. There's also the challenge of communicating your order while a powerful commercial food processor is running less than 10 feet away. read more

Came here yesterday for some acai and it was decent! Customer Service was very friendly and helpful. The acai itself is a bit watery and has a soupy consistency for my liking. Usually when I do get acai bowls, it's like a soft serve smoothie but can still hold its shape, but not this one! It was very refreshing though on that warm day! I would love to come back and try the smoothies/ they looked delicious. I would probably not order the acai if I were to come back. read more

TropiKale hit the spot - just what I needed for a healthy, filling, and tasty kick on a warm afternoon. It was sweet, fruity, and tangy. Very pineapple-forward. I couldn't taste any of the veggies, which is just the way I like it. Despite being a little backed up, we got in and out quickly in a socially-distanced line with everyone wearing masks. We found street parking close by. I plan to return to check out an acai bowl and grab a can of guarana. read more

I ordered takeout from Main Squeeze last week, and am glad they're open during this time. I've been craving an açaí bowl and feel this really hit the spot. Food: I ordered the Beleza Bowl and the Essential Green smoothie. The smoothie was definitely healthy tasting, so I feel I got my veggies and vitamins in while drinking something delicious. I drank this later in the afternoon as I was pretty full from the Beleza Bowl. My only tiny complaint about the bowl was that I wish it had more bananas on top, although that's because I love bananas. Great balance of all the ingredients. read more

Delicious acai bowl that satisfied my cravings! I got the basic Beleza bowl. I enjoyed the toppings, but my granola to acai ratio was too high. Would have liked it if I got more acai. Their blend tastes delish and had a great consistency. They are very generous with their honey and definitely drizzled a lot in my bowl. The honey sometimes overpowered the acai taste. Super small store with no indoor seating, but they have a cute bench outside. It's nice to just get a bowl or a smoothie and walk around the neighborhood eating it! :) read more

Maca mamá add cacao nibs is my go to for a tasty treat. They are also one of the most reasonably priced smoothie places around!

Tasty smoothies and juices. Totally worth it. We got three different smoothies and they arrived pretty quickly. Berry and I added spiraling. You order at the door or order ahead. read more

Their açaí bowls are good, however kind of watery. I'm used to the açaí in açaí bowls having a sort of ice cream/soft serve consistency. Despite that, very yummy. Fruits are fresh. They have a maca mama smoothie that's my favorite flavor profile. Banana cinnamon dates etc. that's all I've had here and I've had good experiences so far. There was just a day where the owner I think? Ran in and was like "I need two bowls ASAP" for these construction workers. I had literally just had a conversation with the girl about how I had a work call and whether my bowl would be done within a certain amount of time. I said if it wouldn't it's all by old I'd just come back and order after my call. She said it shouldn't take more than 10, then boom this guy runs in and my order that should have been done at the time we discussed was pushed back and I was subsequently late to my call. It's not a big deal, but it's the principle ya know? Seems like the owner has some special relationship with these construction workers to where their orders trumped people in line waiting for their orders... wasn't feeling that but I guess that's what happens when you own a business you can do whatever you want. read more

Mang thought I was getting one of those ice smoothie thing like the one that they have at Jamba juice, but it turn out that I ordered a juice. It doesn't have that cold refreshing taste that I was craving for, but after a few more sips I guess it didn't taste too bad, but it still a bit dreadful to drink. I am just not a in a mode for a Luke cold drink though, and for 9 buc (16 oz) it is not a lot. Not something that would ever come back to. read more

I've been to this location twice and am conflicted if I would want to return. The first time I came I had their berry smoothie (forgot the name) and added spinach. It was ~$10 after the addition of spinach, and I got their larger size. I waited inside because it was a super warm day and saw one of the most uncomfortable situations ever. There was 4 employees that day, 3 females (teenage aged) and 1 male (mid 20's, early 30's). One of the females acted as the cashier & the other three employees worked in the kitchen, which was open, small, and you look directly into it when you enter the store. Note, when I entered the store, the male employee was not there. He arrived after I had placed my order. The male employee, which I assume is the manager or owner, was incredibly rude to one of the employees working in the kitchen. It was very obvious he was annoyed with her in some way, or just plain didn't like her. I overheard him say things like "can you just do something," & "you're getting in the way." I was really uncomfortable and told the girl, when she handed me my smoothie, that she needed to find a new job. Even if she's not the best employee, this isn't how you discipline your employee. The spinach was very un-noticeable in my smoothie. This visit happened in Feb/March. I recently came back to this location (in the last week) and had a much better experience. Ordered a smoothie and felt like it was fine. Not super sweet/ripe (frozen) fruit, but you can tell they use real ingredients. Last mentions: -when they're busy, they get pretty slow -generally speaking, they do work slower than most other establishments -they sometimes make acai in advance, add toppings, and give you your order. When they do that, the acai doesn't taste as good. Their acai comes from little, individual baggies that they break open, blend with juice, and then create the bowls with -Prices are reasonable read more

Excellent Acai !!! The bowls here was delicious ! I have tried other places before but I felt the ingredients here were very fresh and the combinations were very well put together. The bowl is also great because it's not half Acai half ice ( like some other places) but it tastes like 100% Acai. The place usually has a small line that moves fast. The staff is very efficient so that works ! I got the Beleza bowl ($7.50) and loved it !! A good price for the healthy bowl 10/10. My friend tried the Oasis ($10.00) and was in love with it too! We also got the peanut butter cookie and chocolate chip cookie ($5.50 before both) while we waited and they were delicious !! 9/10 In the beleza bowl, the strawberry and banana combo with honey and gronola goes so so well with the acai they use ! It's a small place with big flavour !! I recommend it for sure :) read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE . This was my boyfriend and I first time visiting Oakland together, and we pretty much value smoothies and acai bowl restaurants. This place left such a great impression on us, the energy was super great and memorable; I love when employees are social and interactive in today's climate because people are so scary to talk to each other lol! Nonetheless, the smoothie was sooo yummy and this business was super accommodating to my preferences and allergies. Can't wait to come back read more

I think it's important to be mindful about the time that you go, because when I went early in the AM it wasn't packed at all. I went for lunch on another day (my fault), and it was crackin. I had to wait about 20 minutes for my smoothie. But hey, they're really good so I can't be surprised about all the customers lmao. There must be something in the air because I've been on an açaí bowl craze lately. I was with a couple of friends and we decided to start our day off with an açaí bowl! Arguably lighter and healthier than a typical brunch. We arrived at 11am on a Sunday and it "seemed" busy. There were maybe 10 people waiting outside for their orders but there wasn't really a line to order. Also, parking here is super hit or miss. There's plenty of street parking but most of it was taken when I was there. I ordered the Beleza Bowl (~$8). The bowl comes with açaí, banana, and guarana topped with banana, strawberry, granola, and honey. What else could you want on a bowl! It took about 10-15 minutes for them to prepare my bowl, but the wait didn't seem too bad. In the meantime, they actually offered us samples of a smoothie they made extra of. The bowl itself was delicious! For ~$8, this was a lot more worth it than many other places I've had. They don't skimp out on any ingredients and the load up the top with granola, banana, and strawberry. The açaí was a bit too frozen/icy but nonetheless, it was super refreshing and tasted great. If I'm ever in the mood for an açaí bowl again, I'd consider coming back to Main Squeeze. From what I've seen in the Oakland area, these prices for the amount you're getting is unbeatable! read more

Don't come here unless you want to be severed by rude teenagers who put 4 cups of ice in your bowl to make it taste like water. One of the girls who passed me my bowl was super rude and mispronounced my name which I don't have a problem with normally. She pronounced it like nee-haaa! Basically trying to mimic donkey sounds. Main squeeze is a small organic smoothie shop in the heart of Grand Lake! Parking can be a bit tricky during the evening dinner rush due to the many restaurants and businesses on this street. Main squeeze has two locations one in Alameda and the other one here. Both are ran by a family. I like supporting this place not only because it is someone's small and local business but also because the quality of the juices, the ingredients and the excellent customer service is perfect (according to my personal experience at least) the owners/ workers are always in a great mood. My favorite smoothie is the Maca mama! Nutty In flavor, filling enough and fresh. I also recommend getting their ginger shots - they cost $4.00 each and are seriously fresh and perfect to kickstart the day and detox your body. read more

Another yummy place for my belly! I ordered the Maca Mama and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As stated, it contains "maca" and it's basically a Peruvian root that gives you energy (at least that's what the CSR told me). The banana that comes with it goes really well with the root and adds a little texture to the smoothie. Also, it's not too sweet which I love! My hubby ordered the Berry Happy Together and he really liked the drink as well. I can't really speak on it though since I didn't taste it and we are recovering from a cold so we didn't want to pass on the germs. He is picky when it comes to his berry type smoothies so I'm sure it was delish. I would come back and recommend this place. The sucky thing is, parking can be a drag so just be prepared to look around. read more

Ever in the search for an acai bowl at least somewhat comparable to Cafe Brasil in Santa Cruz, I headed to Main Squeeze after reading Albertino's review. Walking from Piedmont Avenue/Broadway, I was ready to eat something. They have two acai bowl choices, the $7 Beleza Bowl (acai, guarana, bananas, a sliced strawberry, and granola all drizzled over with honey) and the $9 Dessert Bowl (acai, blueberries, bananas, raspberries, maca, cacao, hempseed, coconut flakes and granola drizzled with honey). I opted for the Beleza bowl to get a sense of the basics without all the added sweetness of the cacao and coconut flakes. It came in a small plastic tub about 3-3.5 inch wide and 3-4 inches tall. The presentation was nice with the sliced bananas surrounding the rim of the container and the sliced strawberry placed in the middle. What won me over about this acai bowl despite its size was the consistency of the acai and guarana blend and the crispy, sweet granola. The acai was thick, not runny like most places, and was well blended. The granola was golden colored and sweet, but thankfully not overly sweet given there was a generous helping of honey added to it. The three workers who worked there were funny and efficient. There were about 6 people ahead of me and I still got my bowl within about 5-7 minutes. There's street parking outside. There aren't spaces to eat inside, but there's a bench outside and a small nearby park. I will absolutely come back. Thank you, Main Squeeze, for finally finding me a place to enjoy an acai bowl without driving an hour and a half away! read more

First timer! I Every time I see a cool juice bar like this one, I love to check out their offerings and the types of fruit and vegetable combinations they've come up with. I spotted Main Squeeze while parking along the street, and after walking in, was having trouble deciding between the last three juices in the menu board (Cool Earth/Leafy Lime/Quite the Pear). I asked the barista to recommend one of the three, and he mentioned Cool Earth and Quite the Pear are the most popular, but he really likes the latter. I went with his selection and ordered a 12 oz Quite the Pear, which was deliciously fresh and refreshing. The barista gave me my drink in a 16 oz cup because he'd had extra--how kind! Main Squeeze seems to be a pretty popular spot as quite a few people came in and ordered while I was there. Excellent friendly and efficient service, a simple but creative array of menu items, and a prime location. I'm not in the area often, but I would for sure stop buy if I am. read more

Yummy açaí bowls! I got the $8 one, and my friends and I were wondering if two people should share one, but I'm glad we all got our own because one is definitely good for just one person (if you're not full). A bit more granola than I would like (but I'm sure this isn't a problem for some people), but the ratio of açaí to toppings was great! Small shop located on a street with a lot of other small shop. After a good workout I always get a craving for an acai bowl. Not too many options around but Main Squeeze is definitely at the top of the list! Acai bowls are pricy in general, and a bowl here will run you about $10. It's about half acai smoothie, and half toppings. So you definitely get granola or fruit in each bite, almost wish there was a little more of the actual smoothie! The bowls always taste fresh and you can add on any powders or toppings for an extra 65 cents. I was craving for a fresh squeeze juice in town and this place popped up on Yelp. Service is quick and nice, drink tastes amazing, and the store is conveniently located. I just think $9 for this is too much, compared to all other stores I've ever gone to. They don't have any price listed on the menu either, so it came a surprise to me at the end.
