So I usually go the Main Squeeze on Lakeshore and I happened to be in Alameda so I stopped here. I was really excited to eat the Aplha Bowl I got but the taste just wasn't there. The fruit was bland and so was the acai which was really hard to even get into my spoon. The folks working there were nice. I think the acai needs improvement and selection of the fruit needs to be better. I'm gonna stick to the Lakeshore location. read more

Craved an açaí bowl during the heat wave and found this cute gem. Convenient location in downtown alameda next door to a Mediterranean restaurant. Ordered the alpha bowl which was $10 and packed with toppings. Loved the toppings! The fruit was fresh and granola crunchy. The only thing was the açaí blend itself was bland. Not sure if they blend with apple juice, but it would improve the flavor a lot. read more

The good: açaí bowls are good (not amazing). The same for smoothies and juices. The bad: service is not great. They take forever to attend you and more so to make your order. I've been here several times and my experience was the same. Needless to say that if someone else opened an açaí bowl and juice place with halfway decent customer service this place would lose all its business. They custom made a strawberry banana mango smoothie for me with coconut milk and coconut flakes and it was so insanely delicious I had to have two in one day (the first was at their other location in Oakland, which was equally good). We drove 40+ minutes each way because we were craving açaí and aren't fans of vitality bowls. We only ate about half of each of our bowls and then tossed them. My son didn't drink his smoothie. Bomb organic juice spot. Love that they source their produce locally - literally right next door! I have yet to try their smoothies and açaí bowls, but the juice has got THE JUICE. The pairings are complementary. I ordered Cool Earth, and my guy added in some pineapple to sweeten it. Typically, I find kale unbearable, but this was so good! Hush hush: it isn't on the menu, but they offer 32 oz for $15 (joog), which especially saved me during this time cause I don't have the patience to wait in a line 6 feet from people - every minute just risking getting the rona - just to go get some produce from the grocery. I have a flight in two days and I am running with the cold so I got the ginger wellness shot and the citrus drink. Both were very tangy and spicy but it did the job and I am feeling much better. I love this place so much! Not only is the entire set up so welcoming and aesthetically pleasing, but it's always sparkly, squeaky clean. I highly recommend the Oasis bowl, it's my personal favorite. Even though it can get busy on weekends, the employees are always working so hard and getting things done in a timely manner while still making quality smoothies, juices and bowls. Ahhh was so tired of having to leave the island for good acai, and really excited for this place to open since I saw the "Main Squeeze" sign put up a few weeks ago. Apparently they've been open for about four days now, so they're still working on final touches. e.g., the "grab and go" refrigerator wasn't stocked while we were there. They also seemed to be slightly confused with whether we ordered or not, but I'm hoping that next time we return they'll have worked out these kinks. We'll see! But in the meantime, extra points to them for opening up near Park Street rather than South Shore. I ordered the "beleza" bowl for $8. The acai tasted quite watery, unfortunately, though the fruit was fresh. I've been to their Oakland location a few times and it was really delicious there.. so yeah, hoping they work out the details. On a positive note, the wait wasn't bad at all. The people are super friendly, so I'm happy to support their business if the acai improves. read more

I ordered the Beleza without guarana and instead replaced it with coconut water because I am pregnant. The bowl was the perfect amount to eat and there was a good ratio of sliced fruits/granola/acai. I removed 2 stars because I found the service to be really slow. From the time I walked in and walked out, it took 20 minutes to place my order and walk out. My order is just a chop up bananas and throw everything together type of thing. Meanwhile, two other people who came in after me got their smoothies and shots before me. Other people walked in, waited and were not immediately helped. Also, I watched one of the workers go from cash register, to touching her hair, to holding the paper cups with her bare hands, where her fingers touched the inside of a multiple cups as she picked them up to fill them with acai then moved them back into the refrigerator. In other words, she came into contact using bare hands with the inside of cups to be served later twice and I saw her touch her hair two times. I am not sure if I'd return again. read more

I just love love this place. My kids and I love the Maca Mana (without them honey). I always get an acai bowl without the honey, and it's delicious. They are so nice at this place, and I love supporting somewhere locally owned and operated. The rest of this review is from my 10 year old daughter: I loooooooooooooooooooove the maca mana soooooooooooo much. I think that it is the best thing that they have. (with honey). i absolutely LOVE açaí bowls and will stop to order one almost every time i see a restaurant or truck selling them. i've been having some appetite issues and thought one of my favorite foods may help things along. i stopped by during the week and things were starting to get busy. the service was pretty quick and everyone was super friendly. i ordered the beleza bowl which i feel is a pretty standard offering for açaí bowls (açaí base, granola, strawberries, bananas, and honey) but it was exactly what i was looking for. i did like the fact that they use guarana, which i'd never seen before. it was absolutely delicious! portion size was pretty good and the price was reasonable for the area ($8). luckily, there is another main squeeze closer to home (in oakland) so i don't have to trek to alameda for my fix. my only nitpick was that i would have preferred an unsweetened granola. it's not worth deducting a star - just personal preference. give them a shot! read more

I loved this place since the first time I tried their juices. Never had a bad experience and their menu has lots of options. Recently it's been very disappointing to show up to enjoy a juice after work and the business is "closed". Reason why I wrote "closed" is because I've shown up multiple times around 5:35-5:45pm(can't show up earlier because of work) and the business is closed while workers are still in there or as I'm about to walk in I'm told that they're closed when it's supposed to close at 6. I understand workers are trying to leave early or as soon as the business close but if that's the case they should adjust their hours of operation. Not sure if it's new employees but I've never had this issue before when I've shown up at 5:57 and I still received service. Again, not trying to bash the business but I take time out of my day after work to come support a local business and do my best to show up before its closing time but I'm told they're closed when employees are still inside. I wouldn't be leaving this review if this has happened once or twice and it's been multiple times recently. Unfortunately I can't show up earlier but I do my best to make it on time. Again, if you're going to close early, please adjust your operational hours that way it's not misleading for customers. read more

A suggestion to the owner, change your hours of operation to a later time so your employees are on time OR, find employees that care about punctuality. I always enjoy coming to this particular branch, both are good (the other being located at Lake Shore) but this location is just so well rounded. The workers are so nice and attentive, even if I'm not buying and just walking by they smile and greet me. The fruit bowls are amazing, I love all the healthy choices! The outdoor seating and indoor is just spacious enough to relax and get a lovely view of Park street while enjoying any of their items on the menu. This place has so much potential for modern healthy greatness. I was so excited to see that there was a Juicery in Alameda. Alameda is behind the times in Offering progressive healthy food,and I thought finally they're catching up to the rest of urban communities. This place falls short in a big way. Their selections offer contradictions in intentions. For example, they offer fresh organic juices On the one hand, while on the other hand they offer Sargento pre packed lunch meats, and hard boiled eggs in plastic? They need a couple of health minded hippies as consultants. They miss the mark sadly on the Opportunity to offer hip and cool and healthy snacks. They did have coconut yogurt as a snack but the rest of it I wouldn't want my kids to eat during their lunch break at Alameda high which appears they're trying to make money during the lunch break selling starchy snacks like plasticky pasta salads and carbon heavy Sandwiches with lunchmeat, process lunch meats unknown carcinogenic. Alameda needs a healthy juice place that offers a comprehensive healthy progressive menu. read more
