Got my bike tuned up and I ended up purchasing an expensive Thule bike rack and a bunch of accessories. He was knowledgeable and happy to help me any way he could as I was a newbie e-bike rider. Ardmore Trek ( and the entire staff) understand the lifetime value of a customer. Today's minor repair often leads to a future customer. A few days ago, I took my granddaughter's road bike in for repair. The front, left-hand shifter…read morewouldn't shift from the big ring to the small and vice versa. I thought that maybe the shifter or front derailleur may have been bad. Johnathan took all of 5 seconds to diagnose and fix the problem. It seems that the cable from the shifter to the front derailleur was way too loose. I offered him money for his time and expertise, but he said it was "on the house for such an easy repair!" Johnathan is an expert mechanic and an all-around good guy! He did a similar repair about two years ago on a Cannondale mountain bike that I brought in. I'm pretty sure he didn't charge for that, either. From now on, Johnathan will be my go-to bike mechanic! I would happily give Havertown Bike Shop more stars if possible. They earned my trust and respect.

Definitely not a great experience...brought my E-bike rear wheel to be trued/tensioned, as I broke…read morea few spokes after hitting a massive Philly pothole, and this guy proceeded to rip spokes off of my wheel and said it was unfixable. He said it would cost over $180-$200 to fix it, and that I was better off just getting a whole new motor and wheel. Instead, I brought it to my trusted bike shop that I used to live near, and those guys took great care of it, explaining that the 3 broken spokes had to be replaced, but that re-tensioning the wheel would actually take care of the other loose spokes. And it all cost under $50! Definitely stay away from this place!
