We stopped in since I wanted a cruiser bike and there were a few different kinds to choose from. They have a nice selection of bikes. I was also able to choose a basket for my bike. They also have gadgets so I got a bell :) They have car hitches but I'll need to come back for that purchase. Owner is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I purchased a sun bike which I love. The owner helped me load the bike in the trunk of my car. I will definitely be back. read more

Unfortunately, this review isn't for the actual shop. It is for the owner. This bike shop has been around for YEARS. It has a great reputation around here. I can remember coming here as a kid, with my dad, to buy a new bike. However, 15 years later, I have realized that the owner is actually an incredibly disrespectful man, especially if you park your car behind his shop. Earlier in the week, I was taking my dog out for walk in the late afternoon. We were nearing the end of our walk, so my dog and I cut across the parking lot (the parking lot behind the bike shop). As my dog and I were at our apartment complex's courtyard, the owner came out and yelled at me saying, 'You have to move your car!'. At first, I was taken aback because I do not drive. Also, I had my dog with me. I thought it was blatantly obvious that I had not been driving. I had asked him to repeat himself. He stated again, 'You have to move your car!' I said that it was not my car and continued to tell him that the car actually belonged to one of his customers that walked to the front door of his shop. He did not apologize to me for making assumptions, rather he continued to stand there staring at my dog and I. I found this completely arrogant, rude and disrespectful. To have to write this review is actually quite a shame. This bike shop has a great reputation in this town. Unfortunately, the owner was so rude and condescending to me that I refuse to acknowledge his presence any longer. read more

My family was looking for a place to get our bikes tuned up for a trip to Wildwood. We are not avid bike riders. In fact, we typically ride only on this annual vacation. My mom and I brought our 3 bikes to this shop for a tune up since it is close to where we live. The owner was totally disrespectful. He started by telling us that our bikes were not worth the cost of the tune up and that places like toy stores and Walmart shouldn't sell bikes to people like us because they were so cheap and poorly made. Now if he said, "I will tune up your bikes but I would love to suggest this bike for you because your comfort is important to me. It is worth the investment. If you enjoy your ride, you will ride more...." I would have been open to his sales pitch. I am actually in the market for a good bike but not from this place. If it wasn't such a pain getting the bikes back in the car, we would have taken it to the bike shop in University City that we have used in the past. It is ok to be a snob about the things you are passionate about. By all means, care deeply about it and offer opinions when asked. But if you are a business owner, you should not talk down to your patrons. read more

Great repair shop. The owner is a nice man. I have an old gt bike that needed a new grip shifter and he did that fast and didn't charge too much for it. I took a bent front wheel to him also and again he repaired it in a timely matter for a reasonable cost. He sells quality accessories for good prices too. I'd recommend calling him with any repair questions and he'll give you phone quotes that are close to final price which is rare if you call around. read more

Dropped my bike off here a few weeks back to replace a crank arm and a tune up. Very friendly service and quick, but when I got the bike back, the tune up was never performed and the crank arm and BB had to be replaced again within a week. I took bike to Fred at Drexel Hill Cyclery and within two days I hand an incredible bike that road incredible. Fred even gave me a used seat at no cost.
