This was AWFUL. I don't even know where to start. First of all, our lane was broken, and they refused to give us a new lane. Second, we had ordered wings, and they were UNDERCOOKED and made a friend SICK. The wings were also disgusting and had little to no meat on them. People were also VERY rude. Went there to play arcade games for my birthday. More than half the games were either completely broken and not on at all or it would take your credits and just not work. Went to talk to an employee each time and they would give back some credits and say it's going to take a while for someone to come fix it. I'll start by saying this is not my scene - I am old enough to typically not find myself in such places. I have not tried the food or the bowling, or any of the other activities. I was accompanying my grandson and his father to the gaming section. The place was very busy and painfully loud - I would never go this place to eat let alone play pool etc... it was crowded and full of screaming children and obnoxious adults. Don't get me wrong - nice people too... but isn't it the challenging people that ruin for the rest of us? I digress. Bottom line, at least 4 of the games were faulty and in need of repair or replacement. Each time, it took our money and then failed to deliver. Further, gaming can be quite expensive and they clearly are on the path to printing money when you literally get "one life" on a galaga or oac-man game ... and while the "toys" are mostly Chinese-made junk, the measly tickets "earned" per game or an insult, especially to the small children playing them. Bottom line: bring lots of money because they will happily take it and in the end, your enjoyment will be questionable and your anxiety through the roof! read more

I took my 7 year old for the first time and he had a great time. We were there in the early afternoon on a Friday during summer break and it wasn't too crowded. It is pricy, but the all-you-can-play activity pass is worth it and includes bowling, laser tag, the rope course, and billiards. I also bought him a 300 point card which, let's face it, is pricy no matter where you go, but it lasted a while. Like other commenters have noted, there were quite a few games not working (I counted about 10), but there were plenty of working games to have fun (including VR games). My son won big on a ticket claw machine and had a wide variety of items to choose from in the prize store. The staff were friendly, but did seem a bit overwhelmed, like they needed more help or support. The crispy chicken sandwich was tasty and my son liked the kids pizza too. The laser tag was ok, but we could have benefited from an explanation of some kind but the guy just pointed to the gear and then opened the doors.One of our group didn't find out their system was broken until the end, so that was a bummer. Top Golf had an hour and a half wait so my blue friend, I and another couple decided to give this spot a try. The idea behind this place is cool..laser tag, games, bowling, shuffle board and billiards all under one roof. We were planning to go bowling but with the 3 1/2 hour wait for bowling, we decided to play pool instead. The main problem is the set up.. the pool tables are not set up to handle a busy night. The tables are so close together that you can't comfortably play pool. We, along with the others at nearby tables had to constantly adjust or wait so we wouldn't hit our nearby neighbor with our pool stick. Our table was also situated right by the shuffle board which also presented challenges for us playing as there were people there. Unless they figure out a way to try not to cram everything in, this will continue to be a major sore spot for those visiting the place on a busy night. I am giving this place a one star review just because i got a refund. To start i took my boyfriend here for his birthday. All was going well until almost every game was broken or took the credits and did not work. I went to the front desk and she told me to go to a different part so that person could help me. The broken games took at least 40 of our credits. The person that helped me gave me 10 back. They did not say a single word to me just looked at me and grabbed my card. At this point it was frustrating because nothing was working. I went back to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager. Took my wife and my two kids there on Saturday June 29th for bowling. We paid around $70 or so for one hour of bowling. We played our first game and had about 20-25 minute for the second round. We did not take any breaks during when we started, we were courteous to those bowling around us (most people wait if someone next to their lane is going to bowl). Got to the 9th frame and the system shut off. Now I get the one hour time span but seriously, if the system can ask if you want to play another game why can't they let you finish the final frames or give you a grace period (one time shot/option) to finish the game. Was disappointed for the price we couldn't complete two full games. Got a reply back from Justin T, gives me link to fill out a form to guest relations on my experience vs just transferring my concern to them. I selected the link and got "page not found". Went bowling. Lane area under ball rack is very dirty, looks like it's never been swept. Venue seems generally under staffed. No one puts away the bowling balls after each game, so if you dont want your bowling rack overfilling with someone elses old bowling balls youll need to remove them yourself. The sweeper arm kept randomly knocking down pins and messing up our game. Bumpers wouldnt go doen and had to get an attendant to push them down. Old ball from someone elses game left in our gutter. We went here on Father's Day while we were visiting from California and had a really great time. You can purchase a $20 card and with that card you can play lazer tag, go on the high ropes course, bowl, play billiards and more or you can just pay for each thing ala cart. Then for the video games you purchase another card and they load points on it and each game requires a certain amount of points. This place is similar to Dave and busters back in Cali but even bigger. They also have food and a bar Area that is by the billiards and shuffle board tables. We really enjoyed ourselves. The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars was because the food area is very understaffed and service was really slow. However, everyone was very nice and apologized and did their best to accommodate us. We even ended up getting something wrong on our order and I was worried it would take forever to get it fixed so I went and spoke to the manager personally. I told him I understand your understaffed and I'm not upset but I really don't want my husband to have to wait 30 more minutes for his food after everyone already ate. I had a chance to meet the owner today after my original visit did not go so well. The owner-Stephen was very kind and wanted to ensure we had the BEST possible experience at his establishment. Kenzie along with a few others took AMAZING care of us while we were bowling. She was very sweet and kind and made sure we were taken care of at all times. The dining experience was wonderful! My husband and I shared a chicken quesadilla and it was delicious, the waitress was also very kind and fast to take care of us (I'm sorry I didn't get your name but you were AMAZING-thank you!!!). We went for a quick day date and will never go back. Most of the machines are broken. The card machine that takes your game tokens works fine but the machines otherwise don't work?? We were only able to play half of a couple games because those were the only machines that kind of worked. You couldn't even get a play card because all 3 machines were out of cards lol. And the floors were so sticky. I know, it's an arcade, it'll have sticky floors but I could literally feel and hear my shoes peeling off of the carpet they were that sticky. I could HEAR them over the music which was unacceptably loud. My husband and I couldn't communicate without yelling while being next to each other. I gave 2 stars because the staff was sweet, I came back and explained after about 10 minutes of "playing" and asked for a refund and they gave it to me no questions asked. One of my friends didn't even get his drink until we were done with bowling, he had reminded her about the drink four times while she brought out the food. One minute she would tell her she's out of something then she would say "oh wait, we do have that", then we would order that thing, and she would come back saying that they were out. Main Event is a super fun place to spend a few hours, but I've noticed their customer service is just terrible! I have been quite a few times to this Main Event since moving to Gilbert, and each time have experienced rude employees. Last nights experience was no exception: after playing games for about an hour my friends and I wanted to get a drink from the bar. My boyfriend ordered his beverage and since I didn't feel like drinking alcohol, I ordered one of the Shirley Temples that was advertised on the billboard pictured in my post. The bartender seemed annoyed, and said they don't make those drinks at the bar. She pointed behind her and said I can get them in there (which I assumed was the pizza shop located directly behind the bar). I went into the pizza shop, and there was nobody working. A father and his son were in line ahead of us, waiting to get service. 5 employees stood just off to the side chatting and laughing, when one girl came over hesitantly. She helped the father and son ahead of us, and as we approached she asked "what's up?" Weird way to address customers but okay. I asked her if this is where I can get the Shirley temple that was advertised and she looked super confused. She told me I could probably get it there but she didn't know how to make it, and the girl that could make it was MIA. So she poured grenadine in a cup, and told me to get some sprite and make it myself. Then she left, going back to the big group of employees talking. On November 7th, I booked and paid for a reservation for December 1st for three bowling lanes for a company team building activity. I received a phone call about 45 minutes before the bowling reservation was scheduled to start, informing me that our reservation was being canceled. They offered to move the reservation to another location, but that didn't make sense for our group. The employees I spoke with were very nonchalant about the entire situation, and we were left scrambling without a reservation trying to figure out what to do. The sky walk was closed and would not open until after 4 pm....we came at 12. Closure was not listed anywhere online or mentioned until after paying. We came for the skywalk as it was a favorite last visit. Laser tag is a 20 minute wait when there is no one around. Kids were only able to bowl or laser tag. The rest was closed or cost even more $$. My first and last visit. We were 8 adults here for the birthday of someone in our party. We started with bowling, which was fine overall but no one ever came to see if we wanted food. So then we went to order food - which was not cheap for 8 adults. It was mediocre at best and it took an extremely long time to come out. We had 6 of 8 meals and someone had to go ask about our last 2 meals - they were just sitting in the warming window with no staff paying attention. Then we moved on to arcade games. About 20% of the games on the floor were completely out of service. About half of the games we swiped our card in took our credits but didn't let us play. As adults we settled on the Wizard of Oz coin pusher eventually. I play a lot of these at different places and my experience is they rarely break down. The units here were breaking down every 10 minutes on average. We had to have the poor employee (who was fantastic!!) come out at least 10 times to fix the machine. We were using between 1 and 4 units at a time. The employee let us know the problem was there's not enough coins, so the machine runs out and then breaks down. How cheap do you have to be, Main Event, that you put your guests and employees through this? Get more coins! We will not be coming back here. The one star is for the employees, who were all helpful and nice. read more

We were here in a week night. It wasn't very busy and must have been understaffed. Our server was very friendly, but not very available.

Do not go here!! It used to be awesome but not not anymore. Try amazing jakes or fat cats. Most the games are broken but still take your money. The games are charging more than ever to play. We blew thru 500 credits in 30 minutes. The staff does not care and will not refund your money. 3 hour wait for bowling and we finally gave up and left. Gilbert is becoming a ghetto dump. All You Can Play Laser Tag For $7 Is A Win WIth Kids And Adults! We tend to come for the all you can play laser tag for $7 that is during certain days and hours but seems like most of the time to me... The laser tag room is 2 floors and a nice spot to play. Well planned for sure. The only bummer is the equipment could use more maintenance. When you tell the people working the counter your equipment doesn't work they tell you to put it back on the rack for the next person instead of tagging and bagging it for repair.... The have good pool tables and shuffleboards too of course, and bowling which I haven't done in a decade or so... Lol... The food menu is pretty typical bar food so we don't usually get food here. I honestly debating writing this review as I have worked in the service industry for many years now but I have never experienced anything like tonight. To start things off I had to hunt down a server as we were already 30 minutes into our 1hr of bowling and when she finally did come around it turned out that she was the server who had the bowling lane in the same bay and blatantly ignored us on multiple occasions. I understanding being busy, overwhelmed, in the weeds, ect. but to not as so much introduce herself let us and let us know that she'll be back shortly or even offer some waters 30 MINUTES into our game is mind boggling. Not to mention when we finally did get our food and drink orders in and they arrived she gave us no utensils, no napkins, no plates while our bay partners had all of the above. I had to again hunt down someone to get us plates and retrieve napkins and silverware from a nearby server station myself. To top everything off, our server comes around with fresh waters to everyone around us while ours were empty with nothing but ice left. All in all I enjoy coming to Main Event as there's lots to do here but will be apprehensive about returning as we were left hungry, hung out to dry and to fend for ourselves for most of our stay. Let me start by saying that main event is a cool place to go, but Donovan (the incredibly talented and awesome bartender) is literally the sole reason I keep coming back to this establishment. He's literally so welcoming and vibrant, it instantly puts me in a good mood. He has an uncanny ability to make everyone around him feel seen, heard, and valued.
