Id been so looking forward to trying the verse immersive here! We were initially so disappointed to have driven 45 minutes to get here to first be told the young lady behind the counter couldn't sell us tickets. I explained that threw were 16 tickets available just 2 hours earlier and we planned to buy on site due to drive time and more wanting to be late. I asked to speak to a manager and Alex was wonderful! Payton his team member was equally wonderful! Both went above and beyond to offer us an option so we didn't leave disappointed. The experience was visually interesting. I have neck problems so it was hard for me to hold the device up too long but I also enjoyed just laying down on the floor and looking about. My friend enjoyed the animal tour. I didn't realize the experience was a virtual reality as it looks like a walk through on the website so that was a bit disappointing but that could be because I didn't fully read the descriptions. I recently checked out the $29.99 unlimited gameplay deal, which included an entree (drinks not included), unlimited games (bowling shoes $4.95 extra), and a $10 arcade card with 50 points. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger with the Cotton Candy Shirley Temple ($4.99 extra). We decided to bowl for 2 1/2 hours; it was so much fun! We went around noon on a Monday before the crowds, so only a few lanes were full at the time. The food was so good and flavorful! The burger was so juicy and cooked perfectly! I loved the drink; it was so fun and a great photo op! We played a few games of billiards , and afterward, we decided to check out the arcade. I was a little sad some games were out of order, so I only got to play a few, but overall I had a great time! This is such a great deal for the price and what's included! The pass included 2 slices of pizza as well, the kids got meal tickets to cash in. Mini sliders came with smashed patties, caramelized onions, special sauce, lettuce & tomato. They were listed as an appetizer but I preferred if over a full size burger because of the crispy edges & meat : bread ratio. Salads, fried pickles, fries, Brussels sprouts, etc were all very well made. I was honestly surprised on the quality of everything because my bar was set on Dave & Buster's. Came in Monday evening for the wrist band promotion. We played lots of arcade games, and they all worked; you just dont get points for winning on this certain promotion day. We played lots of games of the gel blaster tag, and laser tag. All the employees were real friendly, and helpful!! We did the tight ropes, and that was scary for me, but everyone else had a blast, finishing up with bowling!! I went to the verse immersive based on an advertisement which appeared sublime. Turns out it was false advertisement. Actually I found this to be quite embarrassing. 1970's technology at its best. Live so close and had never been to Main Event until just a few weeks ago. Night out with our boys and couldn't really decide what we wanted to do after having an early dinner. One of my sons suggested to go bowling, so we ended up here! Main Event was actually bought out by their competitors Dave & Busters in 2022 after originally opening their first Main Event location out of Texas in 1998. This spot in Gilbert opened in 2017 next to Top Golf and it is their fourth location in the Valley. Huge venue that has 22 bowling lanes, LED lighting, laser tag, billiards, shuffleboard, a suspended ropes course and an arcade with more than 100 games. There is also a restaurant and bar. We chilled in the bar area and got a few drinks before our lane was ready. Will say their prices to bowl are a little expensive. 1 hour plus shoe retails cost roughly $75 plus tax for a group of 4. *Suggest downloading their app. if you come here often enough as it's good for their perks on everything. All and all we had a blast as it's been years since we've been bowling. They do offer lane hosts/ hostesses if you want to get beverages and food. They actually have a decent menu and fair prices. We just didn't take advantage of this cause we had already had dinner. Really fun atmosphere and employees looked like they enjoy working in this indoor elevated entertainment environment. I'm a very consistent customer to main event, and tonight I felt very disrespected by Kaitlynn at the San Tan location on Saturday night. My cousin and I had already bought the all you can passes to play pool, bowl, etc. and when we went up to get our shoes for bowling she had told us we didn't pay for shoes. Literally cut us off, didn't even explain our bowling timing or anything, just handed us our shoes. If I had known it'd be such a big deal, I wouldn't have come here. read more

We came here on Sunday afternoon for a little get together for my sons 5th bday . We had a total of 12 people and spent well over $700 We bowled, bought game cards, played 2 rounds of lazer tag and ordered a ton of food . When we went to bowl I have asked our server if we were cool to leave our stuff and food at the table and she said yes . To my surprise when we got back our food and plates were all gone . My son was super sad because they took his food he was saving for after bowling . I asked our server what happened to it and she said it probably got bussed by mistake . Ok no worries things happen . She offered a $20 app to be replaced and I said I didn't need that much food but if they could just take it off the bill . A manager came over and said he is not able to take off the money . I asked if I could have that same app again to go on the house and he agreed . My question is why can you give more food for free but can't comp the food that was mistakenly taken ? The food that was missing was pizza so not even the app and I was willing to meet in the middle . Unfortunately the manager said there is not anything he can do for us . I watched him walk to the kitchen and presumably talk bad about us . Sadly we were not given a new app or given even $5 off . We paid full price for food that was thrown away . And left $100 tip for the server . I told her sorry your boss is a jerk but you did a great job ! I remember now why we stopped coming here and we will probably not come back . read more

Went to Main Event with some of my friends and we had a blast! There was no line for laser tag on a Saturday night which was a dream come true. We signed up and went to play. Not sure for how long we were in there but it felt like a long time. We played around at the arcade and some of us even bowled. It was a complete night of fun and the service at the bar was exemplary. This is also a very big Main Event location in comparison to others so I liked that too. Will be back! read more

I went here for a work event. We received passes for just about everything. The rope course was challenging and fun. Bowling was a good group activity and the ability to set a photo made the experience even better. We had a lot of fun at laser tag, but the room was really muggy. I came out drenched like I had been dredging through a swamp, and I wasn't the only one. The food was just okay and the arcade needs work. The claw machine prizes are super disappointing. read more

My spouse, some friends, and I went bowling today at the Gilbert Main Event. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. After that is when things went wrong. We were planning on purchasing some alcoholic drinks and apps. However, we did not receive service at all. We attempted to go grab a server and were told they were going off shift and not taking any orders and that shift swap was occurring. After an hour, we had to notify the front desk and then 15 minutes later a server grabbed our orders of soda and water. At that point it was 75 minutes and we were only there for 90 minute bowling reservation. You lost out on liquor and food sales for us and others there this evening. It was horrendous, will never come back. I do not recommend anyone going here. read more

We had our sons birthday party here and purchased the ultimate gaming experience. We would rate our time 6/10. The VR was not working great in 2/3 available games, and some of the games were broken in the arcade area. We were also bummed to discover the game cards did not accrue points for prizes for the kids. Our party table was very far from the experiences we signed up for and our host lacked excitement, direction, or any enthusiasm for the short hour we had the space for eating/cake/gifts. We checked in 15 minutes early as instructed but nobody helped us for birthday check in or to our space until we were already 15 minutes into our time at the designated table. We also had 2 people no show for the event that we still had to pay for. Fun times to be had! This location had a fun atmosphere that could be had until 2 in the morning. There is a bar, food, bowling, pool, VR and an arcade! We chose to try the food, which was really tasty! The item that stood out was the fried pickles. We also gave a toss of the ol' ball down the lanes. The night glow was fun time. We did have a hiccup on our second game as the pin got stuck and cause a weird reboot of our lane and the one next to ours. The lane was down for approximately 10 minutes. But to the rescue the staff fixed the issue, then added an additional ten minutes to our lane time. This will be a return visit location for us! Next time we will bring the kids. read more

Always a great time had here! They stay extremely busy but was able to do everything I wanted. Bought the all you can play wristband. I didn't do the gravity ropes, but bowling and laser tag was great. This is a great place for birthdays, certain celebrations, team building exercises, etc. Tons of games to play. During high peak times probably harder to navigate. Several machines were down for maintenance. I'm excited they're getting a mini escape room inside. Definitely have to go back to try that out. The food was average but exactly what you expect from a place like this. Everything I had tasted great and the service all throughout was great. No complaints. Definitely will be back! read more

I had the Caesar salad, it consisted of shredded Romain and was drowned in Caesar dressing. The grilled chicken sandwich was a thin chicken breast with no mayo, or seasoning of any kind. Service was okay. The ambiance wants to excite guests, but that's about all that was exciting at Main Event in Gilbert. Seemed like half the games were out of order or broken in some way. There is no Happy Hour specials of any kind which is surprising, considering how bad the food is. Go somewhere else for a better experience on all levels. read more

Always good energy walking in the main event. Pretty loud between people talking, kids running around, and games being played.. but it sounded like everyone was having a blast. My team for work was doing outing and so we had a server assigned to our section near the bar. Our server was Joe, he was super cool, and great answering questions about the menu. My first time going back to Main Event after years. Really disappointed with my experience at Main Event Gilbert. Staff handled the situation poorly and accused our group of trespassing when we paid $50 to get in. It was a young lady with Brown hair and Blonde pieces already unprofessional with the hair and this young man SO RUDE AND OUT OF PLACE FOR WHAT THEY DID, Are you that bored where your watching people go into the Bathroom area. She was so disrespectful like she hated her Job even though....there was confusion that could've been handled respectfully. Security and Gilbert PD escalated things instead of communicating calmly its either you take us to jail or let us go, almost to the point where they were being racist to our group. The customer service was unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome right when we walked in, Mind you we had to go ask for our own WATER nobody came up to our lane!!!!!!. Definitely not the experience we expected.Terrible customer service at Main Event Gilbert - San Tan. Staff and security immediately treated us like we were doing something wrong like trespassing but we paid????? Instead of talking to us respectfully in the FIRST PLACE, the situation was escalated way too fast and ruined the night. Cant bring water to our lanes but you can call the cops and watch???on teenage students?????? Never will be going here again. read more

My family and I were staying at the DoubleTree Hilton, right across from the Main Event Gilbert. My daughter wanted to visit this place initially on Sunday afternoon during the holidays. When we had stopped by the main event, it was closed for a private party. We opted to go to a different place on Sunday instead and stopped by Main Event Gilbert on Monday afternoon. Inside Main Event Gilbert, there are a variety of different attractions. Arcade Bowling Restaurant Gravity Rope Laser Tag It's really expensive here. We started off in the arcade area and played a variety of games for 30 minutes. The gift shop inside, where you could trade in your tickets from the games was nice. There was a wide variety of options to choose from with small prizes to large prizes. My daughter wanted to do the gravity rope. At the front, the team member had informed us to just purchase tickets and then go to the gift shop for the gravity ropes. After purchasing the tickets for the gravity rope, when we went to the gift shop, we were informed that the next reservations weren't until 6:00 P.M. It was 3:00 P.M when we had purchased the gravity rope tickets. No one had informed us that reservations were required. We decided to go back to the front desk and ask for a refund. The front team had to call a manager. This took about 45 minutes for a manager to come and refund us the money. The team member kept asking over their intercom system, internally, for a manager to help out, but it just took an extremely long time for the manager to come to the front. Once the team member did, the refund process was seamless. My family and I more than likely will not be coming back to the Main Event at Gilbert again. read more

It's a great setup with the bar and food area being in the front so I was able to watch the game and relax while she ran around the whole time. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Food was just ok. Went here for Father's Day to bowl. 4 people and it was $95!!! And they didn't even have a good selection of bowling balls - the heavier weights all had small or medium sized finger holes. I can't imagine most families in the Mesa / Gilbert area can afford $95 for bowling. Seems like a total cash grab by a chain company. Don't recommend. read more

Honestly these 5 stars are due to the amazing Hunter, Tim & Steve and Ethan! Upon coming into main event we were greeted by sweet Hunter ! He answer all of our questions!! We bowled for a bit and we had Ethan as our server and he was very quick and friendly: We decided to do the gravity ropes, which had about an hour of wait. We decided to try the zip line first and upon landing Isaac was very rude; hostile demanding we get off the course due to doing the "main part of the course". Which made no sense because it is a full course with no steps showing which way you have to go. . I questioned where that is written that if we do the zip line the course is done because we were told it would be a 15 minute course time. We literally were on the course for two minutes before being told to get off. I was also told "don't you see we are busy, take to a manager idc get off" I asked who the manager was since these rules were not advised to us open purchase for a 2 minute course and it is unfair to not be told any so called rules. When I got to the bottom I was greeted by the kindest manager I have ever met and his name is Stephen Bentle; he apologized for what had happened. He told us it is a timed course and it not based on what you decided to do on the course. He told us he would either refund us the ropes course or he would personally go up the course with us. We really wanted to spend time on the course and we had Stephen and Tim with us personally!! They totally changed our experience! Tim and Stephen helped my nephew through the course showing him so much support throughout his fears: they made sure we were having an amazing time! I am so grateful for this turnaround: without the great support from Tim and Stephen we wouldn't have come back due to the rudeness from Issac. Thank you so much Tim; Stephen; Hunter and Ethan!
