We were able to get three games in the hour time slot with minimal screwing around. They had a great beer selection as well and free classic arcade games. I planned a date activity at Social Axe Throwing for my husband's birthday. Neither of us had ever tried axe throwing before, so we had no idea what to expect...but we ended up having a blast! It was such a fun and unique experience. We arrived on a Tuesday shortly after they opened around 4:15 PM, and we were the only ones there, which worked out perfectly. This may have been why the manager gave us extra attention, showed us how to throw properly, and guided us through three different games. That personal touch really made the experience even better. For two people, I felt that one hour was a good amount of time--though we definitely could've stayed two hours at least if we didn't have other plans. Pricing for one hour is $54, which feels a bit steep, but I was able to snag a deal for $27, which was much more reasonable for a one-hour activity. They also had about five arcade machines set up with free play, so you could easily spend more time there either before or after your axe-throwing session. I didn't realize until after we arrived that they offer food and drinks too...next time, I'd plan for lunch or dinner along with the activity. This place would be great for a team-building event or a group date night. Axe throwing is a bit harder than it looks, but definitely a lot of fun. We enjoyed the different game options, like tic tac toe that made it even more fun. One thing I didn't love: when you arrive, they ask for a credit card to keep on file in case you order food or drinks. Then when we finished and hadn't purchased anything extra, we were asked if we wanted to leave a tip. I found that a little awkward. While the manager was super friendly and helpful (possibly because it was empty--or maybe that's just how they treat all first-timers), I think there should be a better, more subtle way to encourage tipping without putting guests on the spot. Went to this axe throwing spot last night and had an awesome time overall. The vibe inside was great, energetic but not overwhelming. We didn't have a reservation, but they still got us in, even though the place was pretty full. That said, if you're planning to go, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation just to be safe. Pricing was about the same as other axe throwing places I've been to. I didn't grab any food or drinks since I came in already full, but I did see someone with fries and they looked and smelled amazing. They've got a huge canned adult drink selection so just a heads-up that sodas are canned, not fountain. The staff was super kind and helpful. They give you a rundown on how the games work and how to throw safely, which is great but that part did cut into our paid time a bit. They were juggling instructions for a few groups at once, so by the time everyone was set up, some of our playtime had already started. That's my only real knock. Aside from that, the experience was perfect. They even have some free arcade games, which was a cool bonus, we hung out after our session to play a bit and catch up. Definitely a fun night out. Wow! I can't believe I just went axe throwing!! Daren and Toni greeted us, and were friendly and super chill. They have a great bar and do serve food. They have a wall of video game machines as well with free play, great for those not throwing or while you're waiting for your turn or for a Bay to come open. Wore the wrong shoes, don't worry they've got you covered. Options of indoor and outdoor lanes, private, or engaging. Hosting a special, personal, private, public, charitable, business event, to family time, or date night - your axe throwing experiences are endless. First off the environment the ambiance is inviting and comfortable. Clean and well maintained, lighting is perfect (not dark), neutral smells, energy and the vibe is engaging right from the start. Upon arrival and getting checked in with Jaylan, great guy! Patient, kind, knowledgeable, a blessing (he carded me)!!! When you get settled, Daren (Owner) gave an intro safety demo and provided us with individual instructions of one/two handed options of throwing and the techniques. Point system explained, and then it was GAME ON!!! We were in town for baseball West Coast Premiere, and needless to say we parents thought our baseball boys were going to give us a beat down. Boy were we wrong! Anyone 13U and has the capacity to safely engage - I say do it! Give it a try! My friend treated me to Axe Throwing for my birthday. She believed to have made a reservation a couple of months in advance but front of the house could not find it. Luckily they were able to fit us in since we came early in the evening. We had a lane, chalkboard to keep score of game points, and ordered some cider (Cider Corps' POG & Mango Trot) from the bar. There's an instructor on safety and throwing, they'll also teach you a game, and then you have an hour of playtime. It was quick and easy for me to sign in. They have you use your phone to sign a waiver. Then, while you wait for the rest of your party to arrive, you can use one of their game machines for free. They had about four machines there. There were about four throwing lanes in the front. At the front, they also have high top tables for people to eat at if they order at the location. I liked how the employees gave us instructions and also tips on how to throw the axes. They also taught us axe throwing games as well. They mentioned a tic tac toe game and also a numbers game. I loved their parking lot with a lot of spaces. Hopefully someday stores will have covered parking for the whole parking lot, but there were a few trees there. read more

Had a fun time here last weekend, definitely recommend for a fun activity for the fam! I'm sure they have rules on age requirements etc (please review their page) We made a reservation online and headed over on a Saturday night. Closed toe shoes are required, they have coaches to help you get started and of course beers/seltzers/sodas available along with some food items to order ( we didn't order any though just some beers) The team was great. It was ok. throwing the axe was fun, but we were just there for a 1 hour date, definitely not trying to be serious about throwing axes, and during that time TWO of the employees tried to give me unsolicited advice on how to throw. I ignored one and told the other "no thanks, we're just having a good time, I don't need to be good at it" and I could tell they were put off by that, but honestly, way to make me feel like crap on a date. I knew I wasn't doing great at it, which was fine, I was still having fun with my boyfriend and sticking it about every other throw, but to have two people essentially point out how badly they think I was doing really ruined my date night. Okay, to be honest I didn't want to come here at all because I was so scared of throwing an axe. My best friend has been wanting to do axe throwing forever. This opened up close to home so when she visited me I told her we would go. I had no intentions of throwing, but to watch and support. We made our reservation and they got us all checked in when we arrived. They spend about 15 minutes going over all safety procedures and showing you how to throw. I was so nervous, but once I learned and watched it looked like something I wanted to do. Kaden was great and patient. Once we started going I was having a lot of fun and got my rhythm going. They have a chalkboard to make it competitive and you can play some games against each other. Everyone working stayed involved and cheered on as you did it too. They were quick to answer questions. SO MUCH FUN! My husband surprised me with a random outing for my bday. We ended up here at Social Axe Throwing. This was both our first-time real ax-throwing as we are fans of the game at Dave N Busters haha. I definitely recommend reservations because it's a bit snug when everyone starts to file into their reserved lanes and the wait varies depending on time and day. The staff takes the time to train you on how to throw, and how to get the best score to win and gives you a few different games to try. Just remember when you finish one game if the staff doesn't notice you are done, just ask them and they will move you on to another game. Our reservations were just for 1 hour for the 2 of us and that was perfect. I think we played 3 or 4 games with each other. They also have a small bar for alcohol and other drinks. We were here in the early afternoon so we did not order any food. When we were getting ready to leave I didn't see one sad face in the place. So definitely recommend with family or friends. Went here last week for a work event- Doug was our minder for the afternoon. He was funny, personable, and most of all, knowledgeable- and a former axe throwing championship winner, to boot! He took care of us during our entire session, patiently explaining all of the safety rules and giving us options to correct bad throws when we didn't hit the marks. Beyond impressed with the level of service received by Pam, Daren, and Gary! I rented out their venue for My husband's 50th bday party. My initial point of contact was Gary and after some back and forth, we were able to nail down the details. The night of the event, I had around 80 guests. I was nervous as Gary wasn't present, but Daren and Pam were spectacular! From the time we arrived, to the time we left, everything ran smoothly as they had 8 employees on staff to work my event. They had my guests set up and ready for fun immediately and I didn't have to worry if anyone was bored or uninvolved. Pam was very communicative and even offered to help me with set up and break down of my party decor and private catering. I even hired a food truck (that's another review in itself as it was a disaster) and Pam made sure to usher my guests out when the truck eventually opened. Another bonus was that all the employees seemed to know who I was without me having to introduce myself. That was a relief as I didn't want to have to keep name dropping that I was paying the tab and needed a beer lol. They even made sure the bday boy was recognized by all. When it came time for cake, I didn't even have to lift a finger except to present it the my husband to make a wish and blow out the candles. Come to find out, this was their first event!! First time Axe throwing and it was A LOT of fun! For two people I think one hour is the perfect amount of time. Booking a reservation online was easy. Once we arrived the check in was smooth. The liability waiver you have to fill out is easy to access and doesn't take up much of your time. The staff greeted us immediately and stayed engaged throughout our time there to ensure we were having the best time. We were provided a quick demonstration on how to properly throw an axe and how to do it safely. There were several games and I think in an hour we were able to play three games. There aren't any drinks on tap but they have plenty of beverages (soda, beers, liquid death, etc). The pretzel bites were delicious and the flat bread was pretty good as well. They can have up to 5-6 per group. When you arrive you use your phone to sign a waiver and then wait for your party to arrive. They offer a wide selection of beer and have bar food available. Once your group is all situated , they have one of the employees who comes and goes over how safety guidelines & how to properly hold and throw the axe. Give it a try, you won't regret it. I was hesitant going in but I'm so happy we did. This was an extremely fun date night! We had so much fun and are exited to come back. From the get go you are assigned a "Coach" to your lane who walks you through the safety rules and the "how to's" of the game. The staff was extremely friendly and cared to make sure we were having fun and asked us if we needed anything multiple times through the evening. Boe our coach was really encouraging and we felt very confident with his instructions. They also have great selection of beers, ciders, spritzers, and mead. I had a few local ciders from cider corps and my wife had church music IPA. Very easy process and would recommend to anyone looking for something fun to do. My only recommendation would be to have close toed shoes. I didn't have any when we arrived so I had to rent some "crocs" and socks from them which was an extra few $'s but they were super comfy and gave me and extra edge.
