I had a horrible experience at the Main Event in Alpharetta today. My fiancé and I came in and got a game card with 500 points. No lie, probably about 100 points were wasted on games that didn't work. We would swipe our card, sometimes multiple times, and the game would never work. We decided to take a break from the arcade games to go get a drink from the bar. The bartender took forever and once it was finally our turn, she looked at us and then immediately turned away and went to the next customer. It was incredibly rude. To top it off, we were quoted a 30-60 minute wait time for bowling, which we were fine with. It took over an hour and a half for our lane to become available. And once it did, the lane was completely broken. We would bowl our first turn and then the bar would knock down the rest of our pins before our second turn. It would take minutes to put the pins back down for the next person. Luckily we got a refund for the bowling with no problem, so I'm sure management is already aware of this problem. Overall, this was honestly a terrible experience. No one there is friendly, staff is inattentive and on their phones. If possible, I would try out a different Main Event in the Atlanta area. read more

May 30, 2023 the first day off that I've had this whole entire month. I decide to take my children and my fiancé out and I received some of the poorest service that I have ever received. My fiancé ordered loaded french fries, and I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich without a bun, as we sat and had our drinks, which were previously ordered and received in a timely fashion, we sat back to watch our french fries get plated, put under the heat lamps, and then was proceeded to be picked off of by the employees as they walked past on their phones. My fiancé and I are both in the Food Service industry. We are both executives and both understand how much time it takes to receive an order and cook food and the amount of time it took for us to receive our incorrect, I repeat incorrect order, was absurd. Literally in a open kitchen eating off a customer's plate. Because that clear plexiglass panel keeps us Executive Chefs from watching you treat food so unprofessionally. read more

The server in the bowling alley was unbelievably rude. If this were a regular restaurant, I would have just walked out, but unfortunately I had already paid for the bowling. We eventually did have to leave because we were hungry and were never able to actually obtain food at this place. The bowling lanes were not functioning properly. The man working at the laser tag was completely unwilling to help anyone. Also, it seemed that the air conditioner was broken. It was uncomfortably hot in this place. They should inform people that there is no air conditioning before selling passes and should not sell passes to attractions that are not functioning properly. I regret coming here. read more

Main Event is SO fun and we always have a good time playing games and bowling. That said, we like to drink when we're here, and the line for the bar always takes about 20 minutes. We don't get servers coming around to the bowling lanes except for every once in a while, so the drinks take forever to get whether you get them from a server or at the bar. They definitely need more staff here to serve their customers, but if they were to fix this issue, it would be the perfect place for a fun night out with friends or on a date. read more

Went to this location three times. First two times were horrific experiences. Purchased the 20$ deal to do pool, bowling zip line, etc. was unable to do any of it....wasted 20$ a person to just sit around and watch other people do things. I asked for a refund and was treated very rudely by the manager. Second visit, booked a lane for bowling, for three hours, arrived 15 minutes prior to my time, they could not find my reservation and had to wait an additional 30 minutes for a lane. About 30 minutes into our first frame the lane broke down and we had to me moved to another lane. They kept deducting time from our lane because they "had a wait list" My third visit was ok at best. This is the second time that I visited this location for my sons birthday. He just loves it here!....we arrived today at 4:30 and it was not too busy. We received excellent customer service and the food was not bad either. This is a very cool place to host an event or Birthday party. My family and I did laser tag and the bowling. They also have tons of pools tables but we did not play pool this time. The prices are not bad either especially if you are splitting the cost amongst members in your group. During the summer and on Monday's, MainEvent offers a great deal...they have unlimited bowling, laser tag, and the gravity ropes for $24.99 per person. I ordered a 16" cheese pizza for the kids and chicken tacos and garlic wings for myself. The pizza was very good. I did not care too much for the chicken tacos. They make them with corn tortillas and they were not very flavorful at all. Next time I will just get hot wings and the pizza. read more

This used to be our "spot" for birthdays! Usually they are slow but the entertainment doesn't let the service get in the way. Today was my 8 year old son's birthday party. It was a small party of 7 so we walked in, was greeted by Cynthia who was the only nice person the entire time we were there. The attendant at the restaurant which is the ONLY way you can order food to the table is ran by one person who I learned his name is Landareas! He needs to be FIRED just for the way I noticed him handle customers today. My sister ordered 3 ice creams for our 3 kids and 2 on them came right out and the last one for the 4 year old took 30 min longer than the other 2!! I'm not joking we went to check on it twice the entire time he has ONE customer and we ended up canceling the ice cream. At dinner while trying to order a pizza, I was in line for 20 min before I gave up and asked if someone else is working, they said no, but go ahead and order to the bar. So I got OUT of the line and went to the bar. The bartender was SO RUDE to me just for asking if she could take one large pizza order, she treated me so disrespectfully. I went back in line and waited 10 more minutes before we gave up, picked everything up and left. Cynthia tried to get us a manager at the end when I told her what happened at the end, but my son was so hungry that he was about to cry. We left and I will make sure that the bartender and the attending at the bar will never treat a tired mother on her child 's birthday that way!! They are messing up on customer service. I have been here a lot of times and always bring out of town guests here to have good wholesome family fun. The waitress and waiters completely ignore you after seating at the bowling lane. They need to do better! Had a rare event with six buddies two of which came out of state and we assembled at Main Event In Alpharetta for bowling and shooting pool. I had called that day to get information and when I got there due to how busy they were they temp changed things as far as pricing. I talked to the Mgr Mathew and he went out of his way to make it right for us and stand by what I was told on the phone. The pool tables and laser tag were booked so Matthew gave us some free gameplay and Max allowed us to try out the new hologram game for four people several times which the guys couldn't get enough of. The games were fun but the staff ruined our experience. We spent $89 on games with one purpose, too get a specific prize from the prize room. We finished right around 12 am and the staff rudely told us that the prize room was closed. First time here but very fun. The service was awful! The lane the person sent us to was occupied and when I asked the service person if we could move he had a real attitude. The place was barely 20% full and the service was lacking at best. I waited in a line for food and drink for over 30 minutes of our 60 of bowling. One person taking orders, making drinks and tending bar. One person in the kitchen making food. The cafe was closed so all were funneled through the bar. I visited this Main Event location to have a fun night out with family & I don't recommend it. What started out as a fun night very quickly went to CRAP!! So, here's the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. The Good? Most of the arcade games worked and were fun to play. The black lady checking us in was SO nice, friendly, and helpful! && The maintenance guy is the nicest guy you'll ever meet! He's so sweet and helpful! If you do run into an issue, he's very quick to get it resolved! One machine took my money & he fixed it & came & found me to tell me that it was fixed & he'd gotten the game set up for me to play. It was SO nice of him!! He was awesome!! So, we think "tonight's gonna be a great night!!" -_- The lie detector determined that was a LIE. The Bad? Half of the laser tag guns didn't work once the game started!! At least 3 people had to spend half the game trying to change out their gear which is a supreme waste of money & time for them - my boyfriend was included in this group, so needless to say he did NOT have a good time. There should be some way to test these before the game starts so that people aren't wasting their money and time not getting to play the game they paid for. Finally, when the game was over we go out and everyone is asking the attendants what the score was and who won and etc. They tell us all "the scores are on the screen outside the room", so we all walk out & guess what? THE TV IS OFF. We go & tell the attendants that the TV is off so there are no scores and they just shrugged and were like "I don't know what to tell you". Umm WHAT?! That's ridiculous!! Why tell us to go out there to get our scores when you know the tv is off and you don't plan to turn it on?! There's an attendant guy walking around the area, so we ask him how to get drinks and he looks at us kinda weird, so I ask again if there was a waiter or someone that I could order drinks from. He said no, you have to go to the bar, and walked away. He wasn't sanitizing the stations or anything, just walking around. WTH? I was baffled that I had to walk allll the way across the building to wait at the bar considering you have to pay $29 FOR ONE HOUR OF BOWLING && THEY'RE NOT STOPPING THE CLOCK!!!! I just wanted a coke and a mixed drink!!! I get to the bar & there is ONE bartender!! There are literally 10 people waiting at this bar and the woman clearly looks overwhelmed, and NO ONE HELPED HER!! That poor lady!!! There was some lady who appeared to be a shift manager of some sort who literally watched this woman struggle and did absolutely nothing to help her. She walked away to talk to coworkers numerous times and did something on the computer, but never ONCE offered to help this woman. So, finally after me & 2 other guys had been waiting there for 15 minutes, one of the gentleman walks over to the shift manager lady and asks her if she could help out the bartender because we just wanted a simple drink. Do you know that she had the AUDACITY to tell him that "she was taking care of her friends at the bar and we had to wait" ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! I was LIVID!!! You're ignoring customers and allowing this poor bartender to run around like a chicken with its head cut off so that you can take care of your friends?!?! You've got your NERVE!! Her level of audacity was absolutely appalling!! The guys were so bothered that they ended up leaving without getting anything to drink & said they'd drink somewhere else. & I'd been gone for so long that my group came looking for me because they'd already bowled 4 of my frames for me!! OVER FOUR OF MY FRAMES WERE WASTED ON WAITING AT THE BAR!! Talk about I was HOTTER THAN HOT YALL!! To say I was HIGHLY pissed off is a major understatement. I wasted over half of my bowling game waiting around for TWO drinks. & then the shift manager finally comes over smugly after she hears me complaining about customer service acting like she hadn't seen us all standing there unserved for over half an hour! I truly want my dang money back because that was UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!! How dare you screw me out of my bowling game with that horrendous customer service!! I hope the owner is looking at these reviews because this place has SO much potential and could be fabulous but it's going to go under if they customer service stays like this. We got there and went to the counter and a lady just stares at me. Doesn't ask if she can help me. Just stars like I'm bothering her. I asked her some questions and finally figured out the package to buy. We were the only ones in this huge place. I asked to sign in for the ropes course and they made us wait 25 minutes. There were 6-7 employees sitting around chatting and we just had to wait. They also give you a short amount of time to do the ropes considering we were literally still the only ones there. We did bowling next. It was fine at first. We were the only lane going. Then they put a family right next to us. Every single lane is open and they put people right by us. Since the kids were jumping all over the booth we were trying to be in we asked to moved. They moved us but took a long time to do it and were just really rude. I ordered a $30 dinner that got me chicken fingers and a $30 game card. It took 50 minutes to get our food. My son never got his food. I ordered it and asked for it three times. We asked for napkins and water 3 times. She brought us napkins when she brought the check. The server was the only polite person there. I think it was clear she was trying to run the entire bar etc and had zero help. But still my son never got his food, we never got waters and we were charged full price. The games there are pretty good but very expensive in comparison to other similar places. The $30 lasted less than 20 minutes. One game took our points 5 times and didn't let us play. It took over 30 minutes to track the right person down to give us the points back but even then he only gave us the ones he thought the game had stolen, not all of them and essentially made it a waste. The laser tag was fun but the guy didn't care to answer our questions. He just seemed irritated to be there. This place is big, beautiful, very clean and has tons of games but intimately I spent about $150 and had a bad experience because of the poor customer service. read more

I booked a bowling reservation online. The Website explicitly states that you can cancel with 100% refund before the reservation time. Here is the problem, there is no 'cancellation' button or any means to cancel the reservation on line. I called and left several messages; way in advance of my time slot. I reply back to the email confirmation to cancel - all time stamped way in advance before the reservation. They do not answer their phone nor call me back. This place is pretty cool. A group of us came here on a Saturday night. First thing we did was go to customer service, because we wanted to bowl. Bowling had a two hour wait, so we decided to roam around. We played a few games and waited for the next laser tag session. It was a bit confusing because you have to go to one kiosk, then another then wait for a time. They give you one of the buzzers most restaurants give you when you're waiting for a table. When it was time for our session, we all lined it and got our gear! Now, once you gear up, your color is randomly chosen so you may be playing with or against your friends. Half of us ended up being red and the other ended up being blue. We had a great time. Afterwards, we went to the bar for a few cheap shots ($3 -to be exact). After some shots, we went to play some games and in mid-play the game shuts off and the lights come on. 2:05a sharp they're kicking you out! Bowling is overpriced at $50 per hour and the pin catcher would consistently knock down some pins every other turn. Was nearly impossible to get a drink (just wanted some water), literally had to go back into the kitchen twice to find an employee to help me. Several people sat waiting for a drink at the bar but didn't see a bartender the entire time I was there. Staff member lied to me and said the kitchen was closed 30 minutes before an announcement was made over the PA system that the kitchen and bar would soon be closing. Overall negative experience and on top of everything the entire place was a MESS, trash literally everywhere (especially the bathrooms). First off... 1. KIDS. EVERYWHERE. This place has no curfew (unlike Dave and Busters). Kids stay here until midnight (at least) running amuck. 2. We were playing shuffleboard and had our drinks sitting on the adjacent table. The waiter asked "are you done?" I said "I think we're still working on them." He said "well I've never heard of drinking a watery drink" and took them away. LOL. Thanks for making us go to the BAR to get drinks while we're playing shuffleboard, all while taking them away too soon. Lol.. 3. Drinks are either crappy or decent- it just depends which bartender you happen to luck out upon. Good place if you have a bunch of kids. BAD place for adults only entertainment. This is my 2nd time at Main Event in Alpharetta. For all the money you pay for the unlimited option, you sure don't get alot.... Now, I decided to take my bf here for his bday. Great idea, right? So I purchased 2 unlimited passes for bowling, laser tag, gravity ropes and billiards, along with 2 arcade cards with 20 bucks each on them. So, we was able to do one game of bowling and gravity ropes. Laser tag was fun however what I didn't like was that both bowling and laser tag got filled up fast... And that we couldn't get more rounds in because there was a wait.... Now, our passes were all day. So we were able to leave and come back... But I personally felt we didn't get our money's worth. There should be a VIP section on bowling and laser tag for those of us who bought day passes...... we didn't get a chance to use them as we wanted. And yes, I know this is a very busy place, but still... tons of kids... lots of them on the arcade games and not even playing them. And it's not like we can make a kid move ya know lol but still.... When we got to the bar.... that was a different situation. The seating right in front of the bar, were those just there for decoration? Because we sat and waited for 20 min before we went to the bar..... I thought someone would serve us at the tables, guess not. So we went over to the bar. 3 bartenders, 2 black women and a black man, were engaging in a loud personal conversation... we sat there watching them talk for about 10 min until my friend decided to gain their attention. We still waited for another 8 min until one of the women decided to come to us. Now, I am a manager myself, if any of my staff members were engaging in a personal convo while customers were waiting to be served and ignored them, I would have written them all up. Anyways, the woman who served us was a bit friendly, but she seemed very eager to finish her convo, so we didn't keep her long. we let her keep socializing with her fellow coworkers. Honestly, it seems like alot of people working here are under 25.... which explains their attitude and work ethic. Let me wrap this up. The food was great for the prices. The entire staff needs a bit more professional training. I understand this is a fun place, but there was not a serious person working tonight. Too much personal chatter and play. Poor customer service, young unprofessional staff. Poor scheduling of events. They blocked out laser tag and other events indefinitely due to their poor time management and poor scheduling. They could not even give an anticipated time of when the events were un-blocked. It wasn't even busy. What a joke. I was there on the late afternoon of 1/22/13, get better management! They stopped allowing laser tag & rope course at 5:30pm for the rest of the night! At 5:30. Said the events were for parties only, I was there until 8:39pm and NOT 1 person went on the ropes course or laser tag in those 3 hours, and there weren't any parties that late on a Sunday. Liars. So we were looking for a place to play pool with no smoking ,and after reading all the reviews, we were a little hesitant, but we decided to give it a try and glad we did. Granted there were a lot of kids running around unsupervised and loud, but we kind of expected it. We had a great time though. Staff was great, no complaints at all. This place is clean, really fun with lots to do! Billiards, glow bowling, laser tag, and Gravity which is a tightrope type obstacle course that's above the arcade. You get harnessed in and off you go! The employees were very friendly and the food was really great. Largest pretzel I've ever had and the chicken nachos were great. They made a very poor Martini and there weren't any drink specials. read more

Ehhhh, it's alright. I mean, Main Event is a good place to stop by and play a quick game of bowling, laser tag, or a few arcade games, however the experience is always lacking in one way or another. I've been to this particular location multiple times now and each visit is marred with either an issue with cleanliness or service. Again, the games and entertainment are good and fun, the prices are decent, but beware that you'll most likely deal with food and trash left from previous patrons or staff which are unwilling to help and only do so begrudgingly. read more

This review is only for the Arcade, and for our first visit. I went for the first time Sunday around noon and it wasn't too busy. Nice selection of games for a modern arcade, but not kept up well. Air hockey took our credits and turned on but didn't drop a puck, and by the time I got a staff member to help find one we only got a partial game before it turned off. Some virtual jump rope game took our credits but the sensor wouldn't sense a kid or an adult, and just kept saying so until our turn ended. The Mario Kart game had the left steering wheel broken, so no matter what you did the character wouldn't move. It was not apparent until after paying. I had loaded up my card with $35 and my kid was asking to go home before we spent it all. It felt like they were just trying to take our money, and there wasn't really anyone available to make things right. I'll probably go back just to spend the rest of what's on our card, but don't plan on spending any more money here. read more
