Maids of Honor is an understatement! Our apartment never looked so great! We were moving out of an apartment that the landlord does not take the best care. When we moved in she did not have anyone clean & were left to that task. I advised the owner, who is delight, that they were in for some hard work. They brought their best! Could not have done a better job myself. (Which is why we hired cleaners, because I hate cleaning.) This business is local & incredibly helpful. Maids of Honor were punctual, kind, professional, and very thorough! I purchased the Spring Cleaning package where they literally get down on knee pads and clean everything from baseboards to places you didn't know existed in your home! That particular package is a bit pricey, but you absolutely see where the money goes. The young ladies sent to my home worked none stop and very hard. I was very impressed. We all live busy lives and do our best to keep our homes clean. Maids of Honor took a bit of that weight off our shoulders and really took care of us. I was speechless when I saw the bathroom. It looked and smelt like a brand new house. It's tough to even describe the level of cleanliness they achieved in a home we've lived in for over a decade. We used to live in Phoenix, and for several years used the services of Maids of Honors. Now that we're in Tucson, I'm struggling to find a service as reliable and relatively affordable. Although the teams changed a bit during the time we were with Maids of Honor, for most of our tenure we had a team led by Darcey that sometimes also included her sister, Jessica. They were terrific; always did a fantastic job, were incredibly kind to our pets (giving them treats, etc.), and sending condolences when we lost one of the dogs. But even when Darcey and Jessica weren't on call for our house, the teams did a find job. With pets and two young kids, our house could get pretty messy, and it was bliss to come home and find no dog hair floating around, clean floors, a sparkling kitchen, etc. We also appreciated Cathy's willingness to work around our travel schedule. She and her staff were always responsive, via email or phone, to our needs. I would recommend Maids of Honor to anyone needing good, reliable housekeepers. read more

These ladies are fantastic. And clearly in high demand. I had to wait a few weeks to get a spring clean done on my house, but now we're on a bi weekly schedule. It's heaven. I have never seen my house so clean as it was after the spring clean visit. I don't think it was that clean when we bought the house! I look forward to their visits, they've befriended and love on my dog who adores them. My husband loves it because we're no longer trying to force the issue of me not being gifted in the cleaning department (I can cook, do dishes, and laundry.. I can do some things!) Some might say it's expensive but it's a fair price for good work. They're great at their jobs and you certainly don't feel like you're taking advantage of someone. I have a one story 1200 square foot home and was quoted $360 for a deep clean, which was more than other places I inquired with, but I had been personally referred and they had good reviews. I ended up paying $500 when it was all said and done. I almost got ill having to pay that much. They did a good job but for $500 I expected to see NOTHING missed, but there was still dust on shelves and spots on the floor. Everyone was nice to deal with so if you can afford it, great. If not, find somewhere less expensive that I'm sure will do just as good of a job. read more

I have been using Maids of Honor for almost 25 years. After reading one of the negative reviews, I decided to write a review. The negative review from Tamara does not represent Maids of Honor. In all these years, they have been dependable. They spring clean one room each time they come and they spring clean that room in an excellent manner. I have had very very few complaints but there is always immediate follow-up if there is any complaint - which it has probably been 10 years since I had the last one. As already mentioned, they call the day before to give me a window of time. I am flexible but when I was working and needed a first arrival time, they were consistent to show up at about the same time on my cleaning day. They do a very complete job. If anything is damaged or broken, the staff leave a form so you have a record. I had a small item broken about 20 years ago and Cathy paid me for the item. The only other broken item was a glass container that the lid was previously broken. I told the gal she didn't need to leave the form as it was previously broken but she still did. It has been too many years to remember calling and complaining but I have called to say the girls did a great job. I have them clean every 2 weeks. Occasionally I ask to change my day to a different day or even skip a cleaning and have never had any issues. When Cathy retired and the new owner took over, I wondered if there would be a change in quality but I am happy to report that the quality, respect, friendliness, dependability and all service remains with high standards. Incredibly disappointed! I have had my brand new home professionally cleaned by "Maids of Honor Housecleaning" for nearly 3 years and have only ever had minor issues, until yesterday. My home was actually left in a worse condition than when the 3 young women arrived to clean. My gas stove grates were left filthy; the kitchen counters that were "cleaned" were wiped down with a dirty rag that left residue behind; the other counters were left dusty and uncleaned; the wood blinds were not dusted or wiped clean; all garbage were not taken out; some of the wood floors were left unmopped; faucets were not wiped clean; bathroom floors were not scrubbed, in fact dust was left behind all bathroom doors. The Master shower floor tile was wiped with a filthy rag and unknown debris was caked into the step up grout... DISGUSTING! One of the young women (the one "in charge") was on her cell phone the entire time, another took multiple smoke breaks, leaving the 3rd to do a terrible job! I am completely sickened by this! Being disabled, I am unable to clean my home by myself and now I am left with a dirty house that I will have to find and pay another cleaning service to re-clean my home after paying an increased rate of $330 to "Maids of Honor Housecleaning" All above events were recorded on security cameras throughout my home. I called and left 2 messages in order to voice my concerns, but neither call was returned. I then emailed the owner and a reply has not been received. I was then contacted by an employee of Maids of Honor who used to clean our house for them regularly and was informed that the owner called her to say that I called her a cripple. Seeing as I am a quadriplegic, I would never refer to another individual with such a derogatory remark. I have been completely taken advantaged of by this company and the 3 staff members who neglected my home; Shanda, Leeangela, and Kristin. The owner of this company, Catherine, promptly hides all negative reviews on Facebook in order to falsify her rating. In fact several of her five star reviews were written by employees. UPDATE: After the response from the owner, I have been left no choice than to contact my attorney and take legal action. Accusing me of abuse is slanderous. I have been the one taken advantage and abused as a disabled person. If listening to the life story of your employee (she was from New Jersey, worked in daycare for 10 years, etc...) and helping your staff put my stove back together when your lead cleaner exclaimed "I don't know how to put your stove back together" and being made to sit outside in the cold with my 90 year old grandmother so your staff can clean in the order that they want to clean is abuse, then you need to take a course in customer service and ethics. read more

I just got off the phone with the receptionist and didn't even get past the inquiry before deciding this company was not for me. I called to ask about their services. She told me that the person in charge was in a meeting and she wanted to obtain some of my information. We proceeded to go through how many bed/baths I have, square footage, number of stories in the home, kids, pets, and then she started repeating the same questions like she forgot she already asked them. I told her we already went over those questions and she continued to ask them. Obviously very disorganized and not a great first impression. I have not used Maids of Honor but I tried too several months ago. The woman I spoke to on the phone was pleasant and friendly. She asked great probing questions to find out the level of cleaning we needed. My only concern was, I lead the conversation with "I can only do weekends or Wednesday" and she presented me with "Tuesday or Thursday" when I mentioned Wednesday or weekends again she said "We are booked Wednesday" so I said "weekend it is..." And it was at this point she mentioned they do not clean on weekends. Oh. Could have saved me some time by leading with that. I'm glad you give your staff weekends off, but it isn't common and I'm sorry I assumed. But a bit of active listening practice can go a long way. read more

I'm not rich, and I'm not lazy. Sometimes my work schedule gets so hectic for long stretches, something has to give. Usually, that something is housework. In the hustle and bustle of life, there just aren't enough hours in the day or days in the week to take care of everything. Which is why I contacted Maids of Honor. Once a month, Maids of Honor comes in and cleans my house. The first visit was a long one - two ladies doing a full Spring cleaning on everything. Each subsequent visit, there's always a full deep clean on the kitchen and bathroom, a Spring clean on one rotating area (in my case, it's bedroom, office, dining room and living room), and a basic clean on the rest of the house. My house is always clean and fresh when they're done. I have yet to find an area that I want to ask them to re-do, or focus more on the next visit. They're also GREAT with my dog! In addition to being friendly with her - and patient when she gets underfoot - they're very careful when opening the door to go outside, making sure she doesn't run out. Prices are definitely fair - there are companies out there who offer cleaning for less. I tried some of those. Once. There are also plenty of companies who charge notably more - I haven't tried any of those - as Maids of Honor has done such a great job I feel no need to contact anyone else. The customer service from the office has been a little hit and miss. On one occasion, I was given an arrival time for mid-day, when I got the confirmation call 2 days before the visit. The schedule for the day changed, but I wasn't informed. I ended up being closer to the end of the day. That was not a huge issue for me - I was working from home that day, and would have been there anyway. I just felt I should have received a call, instead of me having to call them to make sure everything was ok. On a different occasion, I called the office three days before my scheduled visit to explain I would not be home at the time of service, and where I was leaving the key so they could get in. The next day, when getting the confirmation call, I again mentioned I would not be home, and where the key would be left. On the day of service, the team lead called me, asking if I was home, as my car wasn't there. Luckily, I was between meetings and able to take her call. No one at the office ever relayed my TWO messages of where the key would be. On the flip side - every interaction with Cathy, the owner, has been positive - and she did personally call me to apologize for the first instance above. I've never had any issues with billing, and everyone is friendly. Far and away - the most important part of the experience is the people in my house and the quality of work they do. The fact I was comfortable leaving a key to get in when I wasn't home speaks to the level of trust they've earned. Maids of Honor is definitely a solid company that does a really good job! read more

Not impressed. We are moving and had our house 'deep cleaned' in preparation for showing it to potential buyers. While initially pleased, we keep finding major misses. For a deep clean, they missed a lot of corners with the vacuum, simple spots on the floor, and even a few bugs along a windowsill. The biggest disappointment was their attempt to clean the stainless steel appliances. Whatever they used to clean then left horrible smears and honestly made it all look dirtier than it was originally. We just went to Target and got some stainless steel cleaner and wiped them down ourselves and saw a huge improvement. Their 'deep clean' probably wasn't impressive enough to justify ever having them come back and be paid for something we could have done ourselves. read more

We have been using Maids of Honor for over a year, and by far, Maids of Honor is the best commercial house cleaning service we have ever experienced. They are generally on time, and if not, they're close. The cleaners are safety-conscious, courteous, professional and do a fantastic job. And what a surprise! We often get many of the same cleaners from month to month, meaning that they know our house and how to work around the fact that we're all here, trying to do work and virtual school during COVID-19, and they manage to still work efficiently and effectively. I love that the company is locally owned and that they have taken the time to produce a written document that explains expectations for both the customer and crew, and I love that they call every weekday before our regularly scheduled cleaning day, just to make sure, and I love that I can easily reach a person any time I need anything. I also think the prices are extremely reasonable. In my opinion, there is no small business, in any space, that does a better overall job doing what they said they are going to do, month in and month out. Well, the house is partially clean. They completed a spring cleaning that was excessively slow with a lot of breaks, phone calls and messaging. It took 10 hours to clean 4 rooms, one of which was practically empty. It got to the point I said they had to be done by a certain time and paired down the rooms to do. And, they were still forty five minutes late. Once they left, since we had company coming, I had to run around, vacuum and clean the rooms not completed. They were extremely nice people. But, for 14 hours at 36 dollars an hour, it is not worth it. I have had the same type of cleaning done within 10 hours for the whole house by another professional company in the valley. So, I know you can get a better value somewhere else. read more

So I had to move out as the two other folks I was living with had moved on to greener pastures or sunnier beaches in this case. Plus I wanted to move a lot closer to work. So I found these folks through Yelp and decided to give them a shot. The type of cleaning I wanted wasn't what they usually do but I needed someone to do it and fast and these folks were willing so I gave it a go. I had an apartment that looked like a tornado hit it the day after a triple kegger during fraternity rush week. That's what happens when 2 folks move out and you get to do all the cleaning because you're last man standing. At this point I wasn't even worried about how much or how little deposit I was getting back. I was more worried about how much I might owe - as there was some damage. I was able to replace a bunch of stuff - no details as to not incriminate myself but the cleaning was going to be a headache and I had very little time. So Maids Of Honor folks came in for one day to clean it all up. I came to take a look afterwards and was pretty impressed. The bathrooms looked like what you'd walk into when you check into a hotel room. LOL. That's not what they looked like a few days before. Long story short - I actually got the bulk of my deposit back. I was actually shocked when I opened the final statement from the apartment complex. Pretty sure that would not have been the case had I attempted to clean myself in the amount of time I had OR used a lesser qualified cleaning service. read more

Don't waste your time and call this company if you have a budget. They just want to argue. You are not allowed to only partially clean a house up to a certain number of hours. We used their service for several years. While the cleaning itself was satisfactory we ended up saying enough is enough after the last item they broke and claimed was already broken. Two times before they broke a custom item and a hard to replace item. Both times they said it was broken on arrival. Funny how things in our house only broke when they came once a month. The last item was a dining room chair that will be expensive to replace as it is not manufactured anymore. Sure enough they claimed it was already broken. If you don't care about your possessions or everything you own is made of plastic or rubber then go ahead and sign up. Otherwise, stay away or be prepared to have broken items and be lied to constantly. read more
